Oh you FOOLS. At #8, really? Like, even before God Serena and Brandish? I'm fairly disappointed at this result, but that shouldn't be so surprising judging by the score I gave him. And you know what? I don't regret it, at all. This man is just incredibly powerful. I mean, Invel doesn't have any missing feat; he has top tier attack power, defense and intelligence. In the end he's one of the few Spriggans that had anything we wanted a Spriggan to have.
Okay, since I must defend my generous 9 here I don't think I'm going to finish this in one paragraph like with the other Spriggans up to now. I don't even know if you guys actually read the whole write-up or just skip the whole thing after the elimination itself. Anyway, where do I start? What about the fact that he casted a blizzard over an entire battlefield and therefore showed the most impressive area of effect feat of the Spriggans after Dimaria and Irene, at least untill this very moment? Or, his capability to freeze any type of object, being and magic? Judging by his average it seems everyone lost their hype over instafreezing, apparently. Shame, it's still one of the most impressive feats for an ice mage, and Invel is a true expert in it. Heck, his Ice Magic even made Gray shiver. Knowing that Gray trained in huge snowstorms on the top of a mountain while only wearing a pair of boxers back when he was just a little kid, Invel actually showed an insane skill right there.
And of course, even mister Yura has some hax spells in his collection. Both Ice Slave and Ice Lock are quite impressive, but honestly not the most impressive. We've seen that it takes quite a while for both Ice Slave and Ice Lock to fulfill its duties, since the victim can struggle against it by taking control over their own thoughts.
But his most impressive spell by far must be True-Ice Kamui. At the time we all thought Invel was done in, he showed us one last technique. When he envelopes himself in this armour, he literally becomes untouchable. And it's not just that; anything, absolutely anything, that somehow touches him freezes instantly. Sorry Ajeel, sorry Jacob, sorry Bloodman; but you ain't gonna surpass this man's defense rate. Also, a big fat no to the people who actually think other mages can break through it with brute force.
Oh well, I don't like the idea of Invel being out already. We've had so many ice mages throughout the whole series, yet the most powerful one couldn't even reach the upper half of this rate. Here follows the concluding sentence that contains some frustration:
Fuck Ice-Make, fuck Devil's Ice, DIVINE ICE IT IS.
Only thing so far about the rankings that triggered me was Ajeel below Jacob. Everything else has been making great sense. Bloodman could at most mid diff Invel, even without his First Seal.
Yep, Invel needed to go.
Anyone else and there would have been blood shed
Seriously for a split second there I half expected it to be Dimaria chosen lol Legit would have sued the organizers of this thing if that was the case.
You heard me @BluePegasus
@Brandish -sama, dude... What's up with your incredibly low scores?
You don't put the Spriggans in high esteem do you
Anyway, yeah. Invel. That's not too big of a surprise for me actually. He didn't impress me at all, even Jacob was more impressive to me.
Let's be fair to him though: i wish he didn't have to fight Gray. Gray being an Ice mage definitely helped a ton, and i wonder what would have happened if Invel fought someone like Erza or even Laxus. He might have shown better things.
... Wait, did i really say that Invel would have done a good job against Laxus? Yeah what the hell it's time to sleep i guess.

His fans might not want to hear it but Invel could beat Laxus by just placing Ice Slave on him. He wouldn't be able to change into lightning either. RIP

Hum, I doubt Invel would succeed in casting Ice Slave on someone as fast as Laxus. He never casted it on anyone but Gray and Juvia who were standing idly and turned in the other direction. There's no way Invel can Ice Sllave Laxus in a real battle.
I second this. Then number 5 is Brandish, number 4 DiMaria, Number 3 Larcade, number 2 Irene and number 1 is August. There. Do we even need to wait to see the results from here on out?

Why would he care about knowing the spell or not. If a random spell from Invel is thrown at him, he's not just going to tank it to see what happens. He's going to dodge it.
Not especially, considering the fact that none of his attacks did any serious damage to Gray, someone who proceeded to go ahead and fight a partially transformed E.N.D shortly after the Invel battle, Invel's attack power is really nothing impressive. Ajeel did more damage to Erza, and I consider Invel to be surprisingly stronger than Ajeel.

I do agree with the blizzard having an impressive AOE, but ultimately, it didn't really amount to anything. Sand World was more impressive since no one aside Ajeel could move freely within it, while in Invel's blizzard you had LUCY who was in TAURUS'S Star Dress pointing fingers at Invel.

That, plus the fact that when he cast these spells, he had to do it when his opponent was distracted (Mavis was talking to Zeref, and Gray was distracted by Brandish's arrival in the battlefield). Not sure how applicable this would be in a battle scenario.

I'm actually okay with any of the Spriggan rankings so long as Larcade, August, and Irene are in the top 3. As far as I'm concerned, the other Spriggans are on the same level as far as magical power goes. Invel was basically just Ajeel with a different element.

True but anyone thinking different spriggans don't have different attributes in like defense, cqc, range isn't thinking practically. All of them except the top 3 are really the same caliber when it comes to MP, everyone knows that

Invel had the displeasure of facing an Ice Slayer who just happened to get a power up in a match. Against a standard opponent, Invel would look better. He's similar to Ajeel, just more hax but weaker body. Hard to put him above Ajeel imo.
No shock really. I expect Brandish to be overrated. And Wall to be underrated. That's happened already. Only shocks possibly left are Larcade if he's not 3.
You should be asking BP how tf he gives Invel a 9 lol.
Well this is a S12 rate, so to be on it you're already held to high esteem. But the scale is relative to other members of the 12. 1 is a baseline score for a basic S12. You have to be exceptional to get a 2 or 3. The Elite Spriggans are on the other end of the scale of course. That's how I did it.

I agree with that, but I think most the the Spriggans have abilities that would counter eachother's under the right conditions. Even someone as highly regarded as Dimaria, probably isn't immune to something like Brandish bursting an organ. Brandish could very well have won the match against Dimaria if she thought to use her magic first, imo. Even someone as lowly regarded as Jacob can potentially assassinate God Serena with stealth.
