Undocumented illegals are clearly security liabilities. If you don't know who they are or what they are here for or where they are supposed to be then there is a great problem to security. The same is true of refugees, if we dont know who they are truly working for, what their creed is, and if they truly stand for traditional American values, then they are security liabilities and must be either prevented from coming to the country or faced greater difficulty coming. Perhaps they ought to register in a national reigstrar and have increased governmental surveillance placed on them to ensure Americans are safe.

Guns are not security liabilities. They are recreational devices used to play with skeets or to participate in the hundreds of thousand square miles of American wilderness for game. We should not limit access to these devices as they are harmful when in the right hands.

So... guns, designed specifically to end life, are not a security liability however immigrants are a security liability on the grounds that you don't know what them personally? This seems ridiculous lol. Immigrants are actual human beings and so far there have yet to be security related issues with them. Even if there have been any, we are still talking about very few cases out of hundreds of thousands of immigrants. In most cases they are running away from the very things you are accusing them off. And it is a fact that illegal immigrants at the US are in general less likely to be violent than the locals.

It's really not like terrorists cannot come to US soil without refugees or illegal immigration.
they can come the legal way and they can also manipulate the youth already living in the US.

And as pointed out: It's not like islamic terrorists could ever catch up to the domestic mass shootings in the US

The only big succesful islamic terror attack in the US was commited by non US citizens in a plane.
No immigration law could have helped against that one.

There are good reasons for strict immigration laws, but safety is definitely none of them.

In the refugee crisis, the US is not taking a lot of people.
The US is not even taking most of the locals who helped them in the Iraq or Afghanistan war, which seems pretty unfair towards those people whose families live in constant danger now.

I can understand why the US does not do it (after all, Europe did leave the US hanging quite some times in military questions and inside the Nato), but it would definitely be a big help and could also bear the benefit of an improved reputation in the middle east.

To get back to topic: Clinton seems to be a bit tougher in foreign politics than obama. I wonder how she will react to the syria crisis if she becomes president (and as pointed out, i am very very sure of her becoming president).

If i was from the US, i would have voted for Sanders, but lately, i came to like the idea of clinton as president.
I think she is able to exceed the low exspectations people have with her, at least if the senate will have more democrats in it (obama's terms were damaged by the republican blockade of basically anything he wanted to do).

The problem is the amount of superdelegates in the Democratic party. The Republican party only has 3 per state, while the Democratic superdelegates consist of "distinguished party leaders", every Democratic member of the House and Senate, plus any sitting Democratic governors. I personally think it's the opposite of democratic to have 700+ some people deciding a primary election with anything other than their own individual vote, just like any other citizen. The system was rigged in Clinton's favor from the onset.

The delegate system as a whole is screwed up.... Are super delegate votes already fix or do they have to vote later on? Truly though, I don't think there is a single scenario where it does anyone any good to have such a thing. As of right now hillary has a lead over sanders. However if superdelegates were to turn on hillary then the winner would be sanders for whom people did not vote for. In turn the superdelegates have given clinton an unfair advantage through the whole thing. The superdelegates made everything worst on all accounts.

They vote at the party convention, but they usually pledge who they're voting for ahead of time, just like most political figures give endorsements. I think some people changed their pledges from Clinton to Obama in 2008, but yeah. As far as the GOP side of things, I think there are rules in place that say that the 3 superdelegates from each state are supposed to vote for the candidate at the convention who won their state, but the result of such a thing hardly seems to be of any consequence, compared to the Democratic convention anyways.

It's not really about will or not. It's very hard for a politician to gain any traction without backing from either of the two parties. It's kind of why Sanders decided to run as a Democrat, when he's been a lifelong Independent.

It is not like having more parties is necessarily a good thing. There are plenty other countries with more parties and their politics are even worst off than at the US. If anything that the US has few parties to an extent shows (or used to show) a degree of political stability and continuity.

Went to vote today and they had a completely new paper ballot system. Ever since I've been voting, it's been completely digital. I guess it's fine if there's a paper trail, but after filling out the ballot there was a line to scan it in and the machine had "jammed" and no one working there knew how to fix it. Had to wait around for 20 minutes for them to get to someone on the phone who knew how to fix it. They gave us two options before it was fixed, either wait until it's fixed, or put it in a lockbox and they'll scan it in for you when they're done. The whole thing just seems super tedious and annoying. Not trying to be cynical, but what a joke of a system.

How can we take them seriously when we dont know who they are? There are like what eight parties? Unless someone starts pumping millions into them, then I doubt any will get more than even 2% of the vote in any election. I think in 2012 one was close to getting 1%.
