If trump looses it will likely be the end of the trump president thing. The US does not usually have candidates running against after loosing. We might see him again in 4 years if he looses the nomination though.

They do, actually. Trump will likely run again, he probably thinks if he doesn't win this one, he'll win the next one.

Has there ever been a presidential candidate that lost the elections and then went on to try again? At least as far as the past elections I don't think romney, kerry, mccain and several others have even tried. Trump might break the mold but it would really be a first as far as I know.

Nixon was Eisenhower's vice president, lost to JFK in 1960, and then won in 1968 after Vietnam basically ruined LBJ's chances to win a second term.

I can name a few, but I forgot their names. <_< Try googling the presidential elections in the 90s and 00s?

All I can think of is Ross Perot....

Rubio is the runner up for the candidate with the least amount of substance, second only to Trump.

Ahh, I thought that was more of a thing (the second chance thingy).

As far as rubio goes, he is just completely unremarkable. He seems like a poor man's jeb bush. As in, jeb bush but with less ideas...

I thought Mr. Rubio hit it out of the ball park for the fifth time this year. All his answers were spectacular as he embraced the best ideas for handling immigration, grilling the other candidates on policies that would be harmful to immigrants here, pointing out other candidates flaws with abandoning US surveillance measures that are necessary for protecting us here in the homeland, and identifying clearly ways that we can experience a strong new American century. I find it odd that people would not be in support of Rubio.

Also whichever candidate was like bomb the other areas so much the sand would be glowing or something has the right idea for how to eliminate these threats.

I did hate one of the CNN questions it made no sense like theres away to solely target terrorists but not civilians when they are harboring in these areas clearly breaking all ethical rules in war. Of course its not like terrorists have accountability or responsibility to worry about.

Also CNN is terrible, Im glad he called them out on how they want to say every question "mr trump said, mr trump said, etc".

Every network is supposedly bad to someone in the Republican field since there is always complaints about every network that holds one of these debates. Let's face it, these debates aren't getting big ratings because anything ground-breaking is going on, it's because it's a freaking sideshow. A republican I know actually admitted to this whole election cycle as being completely embarrassing to him. You have Rubio, who is all polish and nothing else. It might serve him well to serve in the Senate a bit longer and actually accomplish something and work on balancing his own budget and cutting his own spending before he pretends to know how to balance the entire country's. Cruz, a total slimeball phony, who is known to champion causes he knows nothing about for less than noble reasons. All you need to see is his comparison of Net Neutrality to Obamacare and all is made immediately obvious. The idiot is a professional grandstander with silly and archaic views. Then you have the blow-hard know-nothing Trump, who is riding his fame into first place polling. However, the guy shows a complete lack of understanding of the issues he's so loud on and an attitude that belongs in grade school, not the podium.

I'm willing to bet that not a lot of people give a shit about the debates and only watch it because of Trump. If it weren't for him being so meme-prone, I doubt any republican would be bragging at how their debates get the most views. Others that actually have a brain know the current candidates are idiots and full of shit.

Shit like this is why US is hated.

You know what? I actually wouldn't mind a republican being elected, just so everyone can see the damage any current candidate will do to the US, socially, economically, or both. Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Bush... they'd all make the country even worse.

The republican party, IMO, have a great variety of candidates to appeal to what the American people want for change in the country. The dishonest or deluded Democratic candidates seem to be abandoning security and other measures of importance to instead spend their time dinging at candidates, or dwelling in emails, or just simply avoiding the limelight and stimulating fear in Americans. I saw an interview where it seemed Mr Sanders was living in a deluded world where racism doesnt exist on college campuses and what not, this is not honest and is stimulating fear in Americans. In any case, the Republican candidates embody good ideas.

Your comments are a bit hard to accept, are you a pacifist as well? Without bombing the living daylights out of these bad guys what other measures are proposed. The Syrian antirebel forces and other allied countries dont hate the US, so I dont see the hate for the US. And even if they do hate the US its Obama and Clinton's fault, he kicked out all of the strong people appointed by Bush members.

Where did Sanders say racism doesn't exist?

I don't understand how you can say the democratic party is dinging at each other or dwelling in emails, the former is the entire appeal of the Republican debates and no one is even talking about emails on the Democratic side. Sanders even turned down an opportunity to call Clinton on it. I don't see any of the Dems "Avoiding the limelight" either. The Republican race just gets way more attention due to Trump's nonsense and the fact that the field is many times larger than the Dems.

The same thing was said about the mujahideen in Afghanistan during the Cold War, and how did that turn out? All we did was build the foundation for the Taliban and arm Osama bin Laden.

What strong people appointed by Bush members? What does that even mean? The Bush administration arrested al-Baghdadi during the invasion of Iraq, held him for nearly a year and released him. How is that Obama and Clinton's fault?

I find this very ironic given what Cruz has said about net neutrality and how a lot of republicans talk crap. What some American people want is taking away rights of others, like barring Muslims from coming here and banning abortion while GUNS FOR EVERYONE! even when statistics say more Americans have died from handguns than they have from terrorist attacks. Not to mention, the republicans are why the deceitful Planned Parenthood videos came out, which actually makes them far more dishonest. I read that they also claimed that a terrorist could slip through as a Syrian refugee due to America's inability to vet, even when there were proof that Syrian refugees are vetted so stringently that it takes up to two to three years before they're allowed in.

Also, you're basically describing what republican candidates do, not democratic candidates. didn't Bernie in a debate say to stop obsessing over the e-mails, while the republicans were obsessed over Hillary's emails and Benghazi? Link to this interview please, as I find it hard to believe anything when it comes to republicans or that Bernie thinks racism doesn't exist on college campus when he actually points out that racism is still alive. Also seems that a lot of them like to make stuff up about Obama to make him look bad.

Nah, none of the candidate embody good ideas, other than their views towards illegal immigration. They even try to cause fear and use the ignorance and religion of republican voters to their advantage. I've also seen republican candidates spend more time attacking Obama than democratic candidates attacking each other.

At this point, I'm beginning to think you're trolling and republican or not, you don't really believe what you just said.

Your comments are a bit hard to accept, are you a pacifist as well? Without bombing the living daylights out of these bad guys what other measures are proposed. I am not a pacifist, but I think it's inhumane and disgusting to justify attacking innocent civilians. This basically makes us the same as ISIS, if not one step away from being like ISIS. They didn't give a shit about innocent people, and it seems the UK and US don't either.

Again, delusion. There are plenty of people who hate the US, even if they're allied with us. I started usin the internet during Bush Jr. administration, and the dude got so much criticisms and insults from non-American and even from Americans that I don't know if he had any republican supporters, while Obama has gotten praised for his domestic actions and views while citizens got made fun of for being against Affordable Care Act, criticizing Obama, and being obsessed with guns. Only thing I've seen Obama criticized for was war crimes, how he didn't mind bombing hospitals and stuff. So yeah, while Obama may have made people unhappy with taking out innocent people, he's gotten more respect than Bush has, while most of US citizens' views (mainly republicans) are made fun of.

I should say that this is based on my observations, which is still based on a lot of people online and offline.

Where did Sanders say racism doesn't exist?
In this interview today he says
"“What’s scary about Trump is that you have a lot of people out there who feel certain ways,” Sanders said. “Then you see somebody running for president saying these things and you go, ‘Oh, Trump said that. I can say that! I can beat up the Muslim in my community. I can be a racist on a college campus now because that’s the climate.’ So, you’re right. It is scary.”"

When racism existed on campus before Trump. His statement implies there isnt any on campus today.

I barely see sanders on tv news or even commenting on things ever. Meanwhile Cruz, Bush, Rubio, Trump are constantly and consistently on the news speaking at rallies or interviewing.

Bush had some fantastic military generals and intelligence people who kept America safe and running well. His foundation and investments enabled results to be generated for many years to come.

Or, Bernie meant that people can be more open about being a racist or committing acts of racism due to Trump. Like how Trump supporters beat up a Latino and a black person at his rallies because he inspired them to do so, and then Trump basically justified that and praised the attackers. Trump and his supporters who agree with any of his views towards race are disgusting, simple as that.

could be because the media gives them more attention than they do Bernie? Plus, Trump will always get attention because he says or does the most ridiculous things and is entertaining.

Oddly, he chose to ignore warnings that 9/11 would happen and then sent people off to war in Iraq, which resulted in over 3,000 lives lost. Oh yeah, Bush and his people definitely kept America safe and running well, even though it was under Obama's tenure that people like bin Laden were caught and killed.

You'd have to be supremely deluded (which Jeb is, if he's not lying to look better), to think Bush or his administration kept America safe or running well. Didn't the economy tank during his reign? I'm sure the shitty treatment Muslims got after 9/11 also radicalized them.

Socially, at least, Obama was pretty good. Same-sex marriage, weed, and even illegal immigrants are legal now, although I disagree with legalizing the illegals. I'd love to know if Affordable Care Act would have received as much criticism as it did if it was a white president who was behind it.

Overall there is literally no point in weed along with several other drugs being illegal. The war on drugs has been decades of consistent and rampant failure. It's not perfect but places that have decriminalized drugs are doing significantly better than those which criminalize it. The war on drugs simply cannot be won. People have been getting high since the dawn of time and will continue to do so as long as there are people. Continuing criminalization of drugs is basically continuing something which we know for a fact does not work instead of doing stuff which elsewhere is providing at least some measure of positive results.

How is the ACA imploding? It's kinda hard to find actual figures on it... Supporters claim it is working more or less how it is supposed to while opponents claim it has increased the cost of health care. There one thing about it that seems to be a fact is that more low income people have obtained access to health care which in the past was denied to them. And that health care cost have increased more slowly over the past 4 or so years than before that. With that in mind obamacare does not seem to be the sort of thing that can simply be repealed. From what I have found it seems that somewhere around 10 and 20 mil people have gotten access or improved medical care thanks to obamacare. So.... How do you remove that? What happens with those people if it is removed? I am not sure of how exactly promising to remove obamacare is isn't actual political suicide. Sure, there are opponents to it but at this point anyone who opposes obamacare is basically guaranteeing to not get quite a few votes. It's not like they are being offered something better, or anything at all, they are just offering to repeal obamacare.

Criminalizing drugs is working to cause decreased levels among kids, meanwhile weed rate among high schoolers is not in decline. I see no benefit to weed use or to legalizing.

The Co-Ops created are failing

A South Carolina health insurer has become the ninth insurance cooperative formed nationwide under the Affordable Care Act to fold. Consumers' Choice Health Insurance Co. said Thursday that it will not sell policies in 2016, a decision that will leave 67,000 individuals and business customers looking for new coverage. Ray Farmer, director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance, said Consumers' Choice and state regulators reached a mutual decision to shut down the company's business. He said the company was in a "financially hazardous condition."
About a third, or eight, alternative health insurers created under President Obama’s health care law to spur competition that might have made coverage less expensive for consumers are shutting down. The three largest are among that number. Only 14 of the so-called cooperatives are still standing, some precariously. The toll of failed co-op insurers, which were intended to challenge dominant companies that wield considerable power to dictate prices, has left about 500,000 customers scrambling to find health insurance for next year...At a time when the industry is experiencing a wave of consolidation, with giants like Anthem and Aetna planning to buy their smaller rivals, the vanishing co-ops will leave some consumers with fewer choices — and potentially higher prices...The shuttering of these start-ups amounts to what could be a loss of nearly $1 billion in federal loans provided to help them get started. And the cascading series of failures has also led to skepticism about the Obama administration’s commitment to this venture. Some policy analysts say they were doomed from the beginning.

Kids have been doing less drugs, alcohol and a number of other stuff for a while now. Most of that is attributed to the simple fact they can google stuff, not so much the war on drugs. The war on drugs is one of the actual reasons drugs are profitable as it drives the prices up. Take weed for example. It is literally dirt cheap to grow. However a dealer can end up selling a gram for tens of dollars... Also worth noting, decriminalization has not resulted in increased in drug use pretty much anywhere where it is a thing. Even forbes praises decriminalization. The war on drugs on all accounts has precisely the opposite intent of what it is supposed to do. It makes drugs profitable, it causes drug violence, it causes increases in drug use. Do you think there would be people selling drugs to kids if it wasn't profitable? The drug war has not worked in the past, it currently does not work and it will continue to be futile in the future.

Ok, that is one case, but what about the literaly tens of millions of people that would loose or get reduced access to health care? That seems like a much bigger issue than a co-op failing. And even then, one failing shouldn't signal the end of obamacare anyways, at least as far as I can tell.
