idk, curse them out, attack them if they see them, rip their clothes... who knows.

Well, if Bernie supporters are seen as bad people, that could result in Bernie getting fewer votes just because the supporters annoyed independents or undecided into not votin for Bernie. A lot of people are saying they're votin for Trump because of how annoying the protesters were.

You really pulled that out of your ass honestly...lol

Or they could just pay attention to what Sanders says and supports rather than just being a sheep.

A lot of them do, it's why they support Bernie in the first place. They see him as a genuine, good person who cares about others. Though, I am worried about his economic plan. Would rather he go after the upper class than middle as they can afford it.

Well, some of his major offers so far involve universal health care and free (or paid with taxpayer money) education... Both of those things are insanely expensive even when done right. I'd say that his proposals to raise taxes across the board is the bare minimum to his objective. Take a look at the netherland tax bracket. If I understand it right, it seems like the bracket starts at 35%. Of course, there are a number of other things to consider in this (deductibles and the worth of the services provided by the government) but compared to brackets elsewhere 35% is still quite a lot. I haven't looked in detail at what sanders is proposing tax wise but I don't think he has proposed anything close to this. Which should be sort of his endgame unless his plan somehow involves giving the same benefits as countries such as the netherlands at a small fraction of the cost.

Statements like these dont make sense at this point in time (the tread lightly). The places with majority African American population and voters have already participated in the voting cycle at this point in time and she already won them in extremely large margins. I could see if this statement was made two months ago but now when the elections is west and I guess there is still New York but Hillary Rodham Obama is with a large lead there already...it doesnt seem like the most sensible or relevant thing to say.

His statement is hyperbole really, it isn't really disproportionate. Geraldo has said some pretty idiotic things, but the sentiment isn't wrong.

I read that Bernie wants to increase taxes on middle class, which would be a bad idea as many who are middle class would not be able to afford it. He should go after the upper classes because they can afford it, especially when they hide their money in offshore accounts. At least, increase taxes on people who can afford it.

Though, I think he'd also get more done by cutting the defense budget in half or get it down to what they really need. We spend far too much on defense, and what do we have to show for it? Seems like drones can do the job now.

Truth be told, I wouldn't be too anal about paying more taxes if I was wealthy, but personally, I'd be irked to see a lot of my money go towards defense, unless they really do use the money as best as they can and not squander it.

We wouldnt need to pay more taxes if we cut all these programs benefiting the lazy and people riding on the coattails of others. Defense spending and transportation spending is what we need the most. If traffic in US was improved then we would be more economically stronger. http://inrix.com/economic-environment-cost-congestion/

Well, as I said, if his endgame is to have all those nice things nordic countries have then he would eventually need to raise taxes significantly across the board. The affording part is a bit relative because provided the government does its job you'd spend a lot on taxes but in return you get healthcare, education, affordable housing... So technically it can be worth it, provided the government does it's job. As for the offshore thing, that isn't an income tax issue, it's a tax evasion issue (though there are legal ways to use offshore accounts to evade taxes).

Well, but how much of that money goes to drones? The US budget military budget, as I understand it at least, has adjusted to the fact that drones are being used since troops were withdrawn from some places... And drones are plenty expensive.

What you should be thinking in regards to sanders, IMO at least, is whether you would pay more taxes if it meant you, and everyone else, getting the stuff sanders wants to get. In the end that it what the situation comes down to in regards to universal health care and whatever else sanders is offering is virtually everyone agreeing that paying more taxes benefits everyone...

I don't understand the logic of increasing defense spending when it's a waste of money, benefits no one but the top people in the industry, and it actually causes more problems. But then, you defend the financial sector a lot even though they're more dishonest that causes more damage to the economy than laborers and minimum wage workers. Also, if you truly are pro-life, why would you want to cut programs that help make sure the kids are more likely to eat and have a roof over their head? According to research that you yourself cited, wealthier people are less likely to get an abortion, so if you cut off funding for people who live in poverty, you would be increasing abortion rate, whether legal or illegal.

Yeah there are few lazy people and people who ride on the coattails of others, but one can say the same about workers in the financial sector or defense sector. At least the programs benefiting the impoverished can be better for the economy as they'd have more money to spend.

Yes, transportation is part of infrastructure spending that I was talking about posts ago. Cut defense spending in half, increase taxes on the rich, and use the money to cut down debt, put into welfare, and improve the infrastructure. Everyone wins.

But if he raises taxes on the people who can't afford it, wouldn't that do more harm than good? Our government is incompetent and inept, with both sides fighting to get things their way instead of working together.

Yeah, tax evasion issue. So I don't get why people are against increasing taxes on the wealthy when they're not even being taxed close to what their real worth is, unfortunately.

I don't know, to be honest. but our drones seem to cause a lot of damage to enemies, so do we really need to spend so much on other stuff?

If it benefits everyone, awesome! But I'm concerned that people will have less money to afford a place to live and three meals a day, at least.

Kids should only be in homes where there is already financial stability due to making good life decisions so there would be no need to have programs that are helping to make sure kids have food in school or a roof over their heads. Their parents or guardians would already be providing those necessities for them. In that setup they could even have better and more food choices in school since instead of being reliants on state sponsored food vouchers for free or reduced lunches, everyone will now be making enough that they can buy premium lunches and have actual real restaurants and shops provide school meals even get local Co-ops involved with farm to door based milk and dairy and vegetable products. We could make school lunches into an actual economically sound program.

Cutting off funds for proverty ought to decrease poverty because people will see that it is no longer viable to live in poverty.

Cutting off funds for the military ought to decrease war because people will see that it is no longer viable to wage war.

See? I can do the same thing too. Doesn't mean it makes any damn sense.

Well, the principle behind the systems over there is that people end up indeed paying more taxes but in turn spend less on other things. With the systems over there people definitely have more taxes to pay but in turn they don't really have to concern themselves over things like health cost, cost of education and whatever goes on there with housing (which I understand is obviously not paid for as education or health but there is are still government funded programs). Whether this helps or not an individual depends on said specific individual but looking at it globally the results seems to be pretty good overall (lower poverty rates, social mobility and such things). At least going by the data I have found anyways.

Well, those are two very different issues which should be dealt with differently. What is the point on raising taxes on someone evading taxes? And part of the issue here is that some forms of tax evasion are not even illegal, it's just loopholes (for instance apple which rather than transfering capital to the US it lends itself money to avoid taxes). To deal with that you need specific legistation that targets loopholes. Whether higher income people should pay more depends on the country and their goals of wealth distribution... Which IMO there are plenty of ways to go about. IMHO you wouldn't need to raise capital gains taxes for instance if people are getting sufficient wages for instance (wages would be reflected on the capital gains in question anyways and those wages would also generate taxes). Of course, my opinion on that could be wrong.

Well, I have no idea honestly. What you are suggesting has the implication that what the US is spending on the military is generating nothing or could otherwise be stopped while generating no drawbacks so to speak. And drones are pretty expensive equipment which require qualified people to handle it and maintain it. So... can the US maintain it's current activities if it decreases it's funding? The answer to that is likely to be complicated and boring...

How would that work? Your views on what's good life decision and what's bad life decision are as dumb as the people who see homosexuality as bad life decision or as decision. I feel sorry for you as you have never faced reality and live in this ignorant bubble of yours. You are a plain hypocrite and have no right to claim to be pro-life or moralistic or ethical because it's a lie. Not only are you against allowing refugee kids to enter the country based on dumb reasons (in which you have no proof or evidence whatsoever), but you're against impoverished kids being allowed to eat and live under a roof as well.

And you do realize that financial stability doesn't necessarily mean stability forever, right? A wealthy family can just as easily turn poor in less than a year, so your statement is even more dumb and ignorant.

And that can work by cutting defense budget in half and putting it towards creating new jobs!

The last sentence makes me wonder if you're truly trying to compete against yourself or me for saying stupid things. Cutting off funds for poverty doesn't decrease poverty, it makes things even worse and hurts the economy even more. If you had any common sense, you'd realize most people don't want to live in poverty, but they have no choice or can't get out of poverty.

Ever heard of Ethan Couch? He proves you completely wrong on middle class/lower and/or impoverished people having the same opportunity/equality as upper class and/or the wealthy. He drove drunk, got into an accident and killed four people, and got away with it for a long time just because he had money and could use that as an excuse for being so reckless. If that was a poor or lower class person, he'd be in jail for a long time.

You aren't about morals and ethics at all, only when it suits you. You defend criminals (who hurt the economy and countless of people) in financial sector or who are wealthy, but you complain about minimum wage workers and laborers who make simple mistakes and are against allowing them to make living wages. You claim to be anti abortion because it's killing fetuses who should have a right to live no matter how horrible their lives might be, but you are against allowing refugee children to come into the country to escape death and horrible life, and you seem to be against American kids getting support so they can have food and shelter. What's just as bad is that you make your views even worse when you defend why fetuses shouldn't be killed, which can easily apply to refugee children, but you defend barring refugee children for the same reasons that can be used to support abortion being better.

well, don't forget this is the US, where we have plenty of people who think a lot like Sharkbait, if not worse. I doubt the government is competent enough to make sure even middle class who pays more taxes will still be able to make ends meet without an issue, even if Bernie is the president. Plus, we even have citizens against Bernie's plan, calling him a communist (something that @Drmke, our resident commie, disagrees with rather strongly), they even use/share examples like a teacher giving everyone B+ or something as an example of Bernie's plan, even though people who studied hard got an A or something.

Increasing taxes can still get them to pay more? Plus, there are some like Bill Gates who don't mind paying more in taxes, apparently.

it probably can. I see the industry squandering/keeping a lot of money for itself. I could be wrong, though.

When was the last time an ousted CEO or some other wealthy person suddenly became unemployed and ended up on the streets? I havent seen any beyond stories written tailored to normal people to make wealthy people look evil. In the real world a wealthy person would just live off of their high earnings that they had put into savings accounts.

Cutting off funds for poverty doesn't decrease poverty, it makes things even worse and hurts the economy even more. If you had any common sense, you'd realize most people don't want to live in poverty, but they have no choice or can't get out of poverty.
How does it hurt the economy? The people in poverty arent participating in the economy. Beyond buying new iphones and cell phone contracts, we never see people in poverty with 60-80 inch tvs, $40K cars, going to restaurants, movie theaters, or more. By moving money to benefit people who arent in poverty we get more of the people who arent in poverty able to buy even more goods increasing more spending and boosting the economy. Youre for education right? The money to the poverty can be instead moved to more support for people getting funding for going to universities.

I also doubt people who are in poverty want to really get out of poverty, if they did why are they still in poverty and looking only at very basic entry level jobs? You dont see people with advanced degrees which implies that these people avoiding going to college, a good life decision, and instead wanted an easy life to live, so its only fair that they are and stay in poverty.

But hes getting jailtime.

I dont understand why one would want people in the financial sector to go to jailtime for decisions the companys workers made to people who ought not to have bought houses and mortgages when they did't have the means. There is some blame on people that needs to happen. This reminds me of people saying gun manufacturers should face fines and jailtime everytime a mass shooting happens, as if its the manufacturers shot at what customers do with the gun. Its just not right.

HOw? People don't deserve to be killed is the running moral theme thus the decisions I make are to prevent useless killings, therefore.
A. Abortions are bad because they are killing babies
B. Refugees from terroristic nations are bad because terroristic nations are killing people. If they came to America Americans could face killings. Therefore, no refugees even children, are to be allowed in this great nation.

Nah, they'd live off their earnings that they put in an offshore account or stocks or something. Many athletes went from wealthy to poor as well, but they actually made bad lifestyle decisions.

http://www.cheatsheet.com/personal-...asons-wealthy-people-go-broke.html/?a=viewall
http://www.forbes.com/static_html/m...ies_msn_test_slide.html?thisSpeed=36000000000

Though a lot of wealthy people still had money left over, there are still plenty who went completely broke or filed for bankruptcy. In the real world, not all wealthy people put money into savings account or have money left if they accrued debt one way or another. The real world is quite different, as there are people who work hard and become a rags-to-riches story or people who work hard but can't get further because they don't have the right connection or aren't wealthy.

It hurts the economy because the less money people have, the less they can buy. I also rarely see impoverished people with new iPhones or cell phone contracts, so I don't know where you got that from. And we never see people in poverty with these things because they don't have the money as they spend it on surviving. If they received more money and got a job, then they'd have more money to spend on more luxury items. Welfare gives them the means to survive, while many can go find jobs to help make ends meet. Giving people who have money more money doesn't benefit the country as much because the impoverished people likely get poorer and poorer and can't contribute to economy. Why would giving people who aren't in poverty help when they can afford things without help and make ends meet?

Nah, money going to defense can be moved to more support for people gettin funding for universities. Though, universities seem to be a scam now. :\

..... you're definitely either spoiled or live in a family who make considerable income, otherwise you'd know just how stupid and incorrect your statement is. Most people who are in poverty want to get out of poverty, that much is a given. However, it's hard when you don't have the money to afford stuff like college education (which includes textbooks and supplies). Again, if these people had connections or some kind of wealth inheritance to give them advantage, they'd likely get good education and good job. It has nothing to do with wanting easy life, I doubt most people want to live in poverty. You really have no idea how many people apply for better jobs but can't get them for one reason or another, hence why they're stuck in basic entry level jobs. Have you gone to a college? They're expensive, and many people who haven't done well in school will see it as a waste of time because they'd fail college. Or, they can't go to college because they have to earn for their family, which plenty of people had to do in the early 20th century.

Please don't ever become a politician. You'd just hold back the country, state, or town even more with your ignorant views based on your fantasy world. If people wanted to stay in poverty and have easy life, then why are there many rags-to-riches stories? Surely they'd prefer to "have an easy life" instead of working hard to be successful? They likely had to work 3-50x harder than wealthy people because they had no money or connection with the right people.

But hes getting jailtime.

I dont understand why one would want people in the financial sector to go to jailtime for decisions the companys workers made to people who ought not to have bought houses and mortgages when they did't have the means. Yes, after months of being free. He shouldn't have been freed in the first place, and if he wasn't wealthy, he would have gone to jail immediately. This is one of many proof that the wealthy have advantages that middle class and lower don't. If a school is accepting one more person, and it has to decide between an average but wealthy student and poor but brilliant student, it'd be more likely to take the wealthy student due to bribery/money and connections.

Why shouldn't people who did bad things go to jail? They committed fraud, embezzled money, cheated people, etc. They should go to jail, not be free to continue being dishonest and hurting the people and economy even more while making more money. This is right, and you can't compare that to gun manufacturers. Manufacturers aren't the one shooting people, they're making guns while the bad people in financial sectors are the ones committing heinous crimes. Bernie Madoff and Jordan Belfort paid/are paying for it, but so should all the guilty ones.

That's a lie. There's no moral theme there, just hypocrisy. You have no proof that majority of refugees from nations plagued by terrorism are bad or violent. France even said the Syrian passports were fake. And do you have proof that these refugees would kill Americans? All I see are two or three links, out of thousands of refugees who came in here. If you truly believed in people not deserving to die and preventing useless killings, you would accept refugee children as by coming into this country, you would prevent useless and undeserved killings.

One can also argue unwanted babies whose moms couldn't get abortions grow up to become menaces to society and bad while refugee children accepted into the country become good citizens who contribute a lot. If people had the same idea as your sickening, hypocritical view, we wouldn't have Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, or many other influential people. Granted, Einstein was an adult whose religion was being targeted for death, but still.

I have asked repeatedly for proof that these refugee children would be as dangerous as you claim, but you can't even offer any proof, you just link to unrelated things and link to Europe, whose vetting process is different from US's. Again, the same defenses you make against abortion can be used for accepting refugee children; and the same arguments you use to oppose refugee children can be used to support abortion.

Unfortunately, people like you, Trump, and Hillary make this nation bad, not great.

This is a good news for Sanders supporters to check:

The decision by billionaire hedge-fund manager David Tepper to quit New Jersey for tax-friendly Florida could complicate estimates of how much tax money the struggling state will collect, the head of the Legislature’s nonpartisan research branch warned lawmakers.

Newsflash: You raise taxes and rich people move away.

“We may be facing an unusual degree of income-tax forecast risk,” Frank Haines, budget and finance officer with the Office of Legislative Services told a Senate committee Tuesday in Trenton.

New Jersey relies on personal income taxes for about 40 percent of its revenue, and less than 1 percent of taxpayers contribute about a third of those collections, according to the legislative services office.
Those super rich people you hate so much? You are extremely dependent on them. Less than one percent contribute a whole third government needs for all those people in welfare.

Left wingers think a guy like Sanders can just raise taxes on rich people and they will just hand over the money gladly. The forget precisely the rich are the ones who can simply move away. There is already a huge problem in America about companies moving overseas and Sanders wants to make it 10 times worse.

Perfect reason to dislike them even more: they're too selfish to part with little money.

I dont know he keeps saying this when if it was truly a "peoples" campaign wouldnt he have more votes than the other candidate? He doesnt.
Because the other candidate has the name recognition and the support of the entire establishment and media buying votes for her.

Perfect reason to dislike them even more: they're too selfish to part with little money.
It doesn't matter if you like them or not the point is without them and their money the US would have gone bankrupt a long time ago and Sanders wants to scare them all away.
