I don't get why Trump gets so much praise for being wealthy or a money-making machine when his dad gave him $1 million loan. It would be impressive only if he started from nothing or with so little money and made it big.
It's not just the loan, he received something like $250m from his father's estate when he died as well. The guy is good at staying rich despite having both success and failures, hence the bankruptcies. But the easiest way to make money is having it in the first place, so I don't know why he should be held up as some sort of self-made man business genius who can apply whatever acumen he has towards running the country. I find that suggestion pretty ridiculous honestly.

Wasn't Hillary running back then as well? What made you vote Obama instead of her?
Obama ran a much better campaign than Hillary, and I didn't like her anyway. I also found myself disagreeing with McCain's rhetoric going further right than he had ever been as a senator, and him choosing Palin as his running mate destroyed any chance he had at getting my vote.

No way is it a bad idea "on all accounts". I've been reading a lot about the wall from many different sources, probably more than you, both from pro and anti Trump articles and people. They all have their certain points, but calling it "objectively a bad idea" is far too silly. Both sides address the major concerns of the wall and explain why it can/can't work. I'm not gonna say that the wall is a safe bet. It's definitely a risk, but one that could be pulled off amazing if done well.
What kkck...produce the pro-Wall articles pls. I consider it an objectively bad idea because nothing Trump has said about it can be promised and followed through on, and it won't even solve the problems not having a wall supposedly causes.

It's always funny to see people who couldn't turn 10 dollars into 20 belittle turning a million into billions.
well, given we don't have the connection that Trump and his wealthy father do, it's hard for us to turn $10 into $20. Doesn't change the fact that Trump is wealthy mainly because of his dad, not because of his own business acumen and sense.

Give a lot of people the same advantages Trump had, and they'll likely do even better. Loan from his dad, even more money after his dad's death, and connections. This is a clear example of how people with money have more advantages than people who don't have much money, as much as Sharkbait likes to deny it.

I don't get why people fall for his bullshit and are deluded, but it is what it is. Trump would likely ruin the country and widen the gap between the upper class and lower class.

It's hard to really know honestly. Especially with him saying that the average american makes too much money as it is or some nonsense. The bizarre thing is the amount of people who don't care about such doubts and support him anyway...

What source does he even have for that? You'd have to live under a rock to believe anything he says... wtf????

No point in ranting anyway. But anyone who thinks the average American makes too much money is a dumbass. I don't see why Trump would think that when Americans having more money means they can spend more money towards his hotels and foreign-made crap.

Ehhhhh... lol turning 10 to 20 isn't an impressive feat so kinda a bad example, m3j. Tho for sure trumps connections that no doubt were also handed down to him by his father (whether thru his name or aquaintances passed on) helped him

I'm not going to try too hard to minimize the guy's accomplishments, but the guy has never gone hungry or had to struggle to live the kind of life he does. So when you add that up with him saying wages are too high already, it really only says the guy has no real grasp on what the average American's lives are really like. So yeah, let him be all "anti-establishment" in your eyes if you want, but he's just as out of touch as any other politician has ever been. He's been a clown from the beginning, which is why he appears to be mostly teflon when it comes to the shit he says. Anyone else would have been run out of town on a rail.

But yeah, to the average /pol/ visitor I guess I'm just another "libcuck". But it's funny considering who they're supporting and what he actually stands for.

ugh, the fact that he has support of any kind makes me lose hope in people. One of the worst candidates, yet somehow popular.

It is still a feat nonetheless, and it wasn't me who brought that example up. Point is, Trump's accomplishments aren't that impressive when he received money from his dad. He was never a rags to riches story, just a rich to declaring bankruptcy on businesses but still rich story. Steve Jobs is more impressive than Trump.

Just looked at the candidates' tax plans, and I'm not sure how I feel. I think Trump's policy is better towards businesses, even though the successful ones can afford to pay more taxes.

Lol I didn't need to add to the "america" part. Still a pity he has the amount of popularity that he does tho...

Not enough to win, according to this latest national poll

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/fir...t-poll-shows-grim-outlook-2016-winner-n557821

68% of people polled said they wouldn't support him...I mean...
guess the ones that do are just that loud.

So, who has the best chance? A lying celebrity, a religious nutjob, a slime who has dynasty and "feminism" behind her, or the socialist?

Wouldn't be shocked if republicans played a part in that, as seeing as how they like to reduce voter turnout to improve their chances.

Well the republican result of NYC wasnt surprising but at least Hillary Clinton is destroying Sanders currently using CNNs tracking.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
Well probably one of Sanders worst losses yet (60 - 40) and this time it isnt even due to the black vote that he abandoned. I doubt he will make it to be the candidate.

I know. So?

Ugh, can't believe Hillary won NY. But then again, NY chose the worst candidates in Trump and Hillary though tbh, only Bernie seems the best out of any other candidate.

Why would Republicans clandestinely interfere with a Democratic primary where they would gain no direct benefit? Makes no sense.
