The congress would have likely done much of the same if Clinton was elected in 2008. Don't expect it to change unless congress changes.

Well, while I do think the republican party would have obstructed hillary had she been president the past elections I do think it would have been at least a bit less on account of racism... Even during the elections obama was a part of racism seemed a motivator on multiple angles.... Of course, the tea party does seem to have the modus operandi consisting of defunding government institutions on the grounds that they are unnecessary expenses and then after they are defunded argue they should get rid of them altogether because they do not work. Which of course they do not because they were defunded. In a rational world the republican party, specially their tea party movement, would be entirely un-electable simply because their job is to actively sabotage government, not make it work.

Well, but kasich is still in the race and actively working towards a republican brokered convention. I think that is enough evidence that the establishment is still aiming to remove trump and even ted cruz. I am not sure that is saying much.... If it's saying anything at all... I do think people will warm up to hillary once she is president though. Which is unlikely to happen with trump.

Part of it, but her being a woman and Clinton would have probably supplemented it decently

Obama is the antichrist for them, Cllinton could be the next one, tho.

I have a daydream phantasy of clinton becoming president and then installing obama in the supreme court (he studied law after all).

this would make part of the gop just lose their shit and explode in hate.
I am aware that it wont happen, but i can dream.

Well, obama was a constitutional law teacher at chicage for over a decade. So it is safe to say he knows the subject. Though I have no idea if that alone is enough to qualify him for the spot (though in paper he sounds ideal). I would love to see the senate asking for the guy obama nominated lol...

Merrick Garland is such a nice guy, he should have the honour of being a judge in surpreme court.
Everyone agrees on him being qualified enough, reps and dems alike, the only reasons reps dont want him is because obama likes him.

Hm, forgot that a lot of republicans are sexists as well, and then you'll probably have some democrats who look down on women. But I don't think it'd be as strong as the opposition towards Obama, especially when Hillary at least has Bill to help her influence some of the politicians.

Well, a bit of a technicality but he is at 996. he needs 241 out of 571 delegates left.Realistically speaking it would take nothing short of a miracle for him to not win the nomination. And even if it does get to a brokered convention the alternative should be cruz, who is probably reviled almost as much as trump (I still think that if cruz was first the party would work with trump to take him down). So it's really the two people the party hates the most... Heil trump I guess....
