What? you are the one who just made the point that you couldn't trust her and she could go back to her old views at any time. but now you are saying that's not a thing? Are you trying to say anything at all?

You did imply pretty strongly that she was anti civil rights. What else could you possibly try to say with your earlier paragraph? When has bill or hillary ever said the same things as trump? Conservatives saying stuff does not mean it's true.
I never said that. There's a difference between possibly going back to old views during the election, and after winning the election. If you don't understand the difference...

Hmm, maybe somewhat bigoted, I guess? But yes, I know that as I have repeatedly stated conservatives are full of lying douchebags.

Well, the issue in regards to right wingers or trump supporters being called bigots and them taking issue with that is hardly about authoritarianism, at least as far as I can tell.
Well, I wasn't specifically talking about Trump Supporters or even Right Wingers... I see there being an issue even as someone who considers themselves a liberal.

Well, what would reasonably fall into the regressive left? I have read a few things about such that but so far it seems to be nonsense about third wave feminazis or wars on Christmas (which is absolutely not a thing). What am I missing here?
Honestly, the topic can be somewhat nebulous, so I'll defer to something else to articulate an example of it.

I worry that the context might be lost, but it's especially present through the lens of the recent debate regarding Islam. Though I still think elements are shared in regards to other issues though. It is an attitude on the Left that is completely illiberal IMO. In other words, someone who has gone so far left that they have more in common with the far right than you could ever think is possible, in some sort of incredible irony. That's where the the authoritarian aspect comes in. Someone who is so progressive that they actually devalue free speech itself in pursuit of instilling their beliefs and lacking tolerance for "uncomfortable" or conflicting ideas.

I will acknowledge that it's tough to quantify such things in regard to the Left in general. I guess it's sort of the same problem one can run into when talking about the Alt-Right (there are plenty who still argue in favor of denying it's existence, but I digress).

I fail to realize what's so bad about trying to stop Muslims from being categorized as terrorists.

Is this non sequitur, or addressing something specific? Because I don't see where that was done.

Welp, the funniest thing I have heard from trump so far (or that I can remember at least): The flint water crisis wouldn't have happened if he were president. How stupid is he? Does he even know whats going on there?

Another funny thing that becomes less funny... Hillary calls half of trump supporters a basket of deplorable... Something which by any logic is absolutely correct as she is correct about them being racist, xenophobes, antisemitism and an assortment of other phones and antis. But because the media, absurdly, backslashes against her she apologizes? She should have stuck to what she said.... If anything being called deplorable is does not do justice to the people she was referring to.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories or anything, but what does everyone think of Clinton's health situation. It's sort of alarming when you examine the evidence.

I know people will point to someone like FDR and Reagan, but there's a lot of unknowns when it comes to something like this. Not that whatever it is would drive me to vote for Trump or anything though...

If Bernie was the VP, I wouldn't care less. I hope her choice isn't bad if she croaks.

Im more worried about crooked hilary's lack of regard for protecting americans abroad than her health issues that people seem to want to focus on. Issues matter folks.

Since when were these things mutually exclusive?

And I thought you were pro-Hillary? :blink

It's also worth noting that there was significant outrage when people realized what Reagan's condition was and that people pushed him to run again in 1984. It was unknown at that time, and thankfully it didn't seem to be of greater consequence. But it does sort of beg the question why she's running at all...that is, assuming the worse. Some people theorize that she has had several bouts of aspiration pneumonia due to Parkinson's disease. Which would explain the coughing fits.

But do keep in mind, I'm not buying into it full-bored, but it is a bit puzzling.

Shark is a republican conservative, he was only for Hillary because of Bernie.

But funny how Trump and his supporters call Hillary crooked when Trump is just as bad, if not worse. Too bad Reagan's condition didn't stop him from winning, he's overrated.

Her health is definitely an issue that needs to be kept an eye on. Granted, we can say the same thing about people like Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and JFK, but that's still an issue that needs to come to light.

I mean, unless if she's suffering some mental health issues, I don't see her health being THAT big of a deal.

JFK? I didn't know he was unhealthy. Same with Theo, though I know he was a weak boy and had health problems that he overcame.

I think you're confusing Roosevelts :lmao

It's not really about whatever conditions she's dealing with, it's her not disclosing them in an earnest way. Because at this point, her campaign has habitually lied about what's been going on with her. Or at least, I think that isn't an unreasonable assumption. Especially given the whole van incident.

How so? Didn't Teddy have asthma problems and other shit as a child, but he exercised and became a strong man? If you tell me Teddy's the one who had polio, I'm never taking you seriously again.

She likely didn't want to be seen as weak or have people guessing she may have issues or is weak, especially given how women are seen in the society.

Well, so far her campaign has released actual documents regarding her having a "mild pneumonia".... And assuming this is actually accurate, I could see she would want to keep it down. Any time anything happens around clinton it immediately gets blown out of proportion to a ridiculous degree. Which is not to say there isn't legitimate stuff to be critical of her but it's also true that even in spite of that 90% of the stuff said about her is just untrue. I mean, if clinton had a cold by the next day the media would have turned her into exploding lungs. Her campaign releases documents regarding her having a mild pneumonia and people are already killing her off and picking her replacement. And of course the discussion becomes about that, which is sad, instead of policy or trump which is what she should be addressing and people should actually care about. At the very least until more solid evidence there really isn't much to go on about as far as I can tell.

I don't see how her health would be an issue just because she fainted one time.
Political decisions are done mostly in climated rooms.

Even if you assume she has a weak physical condition, there is no good reason to believe her judgement is impacted in any way.

She knows how much stress it means to be president, because she basically was copresident.
If she thinks she can do it, i have no reason to think she can't.
Because why would she waste her remaining years on something that stressful if she had serious doubt about being capable?

Power is always an argument, but in my opinion a faulty one. Most politicians are not nearly as obsessed with power as most people think.

Some people theorize that she has had several bouts of aspiration pneumonia due to Parkinson's disease. Which would explain the coughing fits.
It wouldn't explain the complete lack of Parkinsonian symptoms however...

That isn't to say that she may not have some other horrifically debilitating disease, but I doubt it is Parkinson's.

That said, she seems pretty compos mentis, so I am not sure I see the issue with her mysterious disease.

Because she feels that her entire life has been leading up to this.

There isn't a candidate I can think of who appears to feel as entitled to the presidency as Hilary does.

Well, that sort of hinges on whether her weird "freakouts" and facial expressions mean anything other than her being an awkward as hell lady. :lmao

I mean, I don't know. Having a really terrible cough which may be linked to chronic pneumonia does sort of sound like aspiration pneumonia. I know the evidence is rather flimsy, but she has had a history of weird health problems, fainting, etc. She had a blood clot in her brain in the past, now this latest "walking dead" incident. It just all looks really bizarre, and I wouldn't be shocked if there was something neurological going on.

I mean, of course the media jumps on it and starts talking about scenarios where she'd have to drop out, etc. But part of this is the fault of the preconceived notions with her, she is never forthcoming with anything. First she just needed help getting into the van. Then the video surfaced, which was alarming as fuck. Then it was supposedly heat-related, even though it was an incredibly mild day temperature-wise all over the eastern seaboard. THEN it finally comes out that she's been battling pneumonia, which definitely corroborates with everything else we know, her coughing fit the week before, etc. And there's footage of her falling down, having coughing fits...I don't know dude, it wouldn't shock me if something else was going on there.

Sure, it does definitely appear to be either heart/lung related.

Both could cause severe coughing, dizziness and an inability to think straight.

But until she begins to show some of the more classic Parkinsonian symptoms (tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity), or even some of the other symptoms such as nerve pain or difficulty swallowing... then I'd rather think it is something else. Maybe something like COPD or some underlying heart condition?

Both could easily lead to pneumonia.

... and pneumonia really does explain all the symptoms - sans, perhaps, the 'strange facial expressions'
But, if facial expressions are enough...

To be honest, I know why they suggest Parkinson's - 'cause it sounds scary (for a good reason) and is a great way to try and undermine Clinton.

But two can play at this game - have you ever noticed how Trump displays many of the hallmark symptoms characteristic of schizophrenia?
- he displays an obvious lack of concentration
- he displays disorganised and unpredictable behaviours
- he can easily become extremely agitated and shout or swear for no reason
- he has obvious confused thoughts
- he suffers many serious delusions

... I mean I am not saying that Trump has schizophrenia... but one has to ask the question

It would be concerning to have a president who did, after all.

That is true. She still does not strike me as an irrationaly powerhungry person.
And so far, during the campaign (which is going on long enough), she was fine.
And a campaign is pretty stressful on its own, maybe even more than being the actual president.
As far as i know, clinton could have stayed secretary of state but didnt due to hear health issues.
I think if she still had those, she would not run for president.
