Trump would be just as bad as them if he didn't try to counter or fight anything they did though, and supported it instead. He does have power to veto.

True, but Congress does have the power to override the Veto, which both the House of Representatives and Senate are taken over by the Republicans.

I heard something that sounded like a cool idea for the muslim registry trump is proposing . straight up savotage! basically everyone simply claims to be a muslim, gets registered and makes the thing moot. how glorious would that be?

Oh, so jill stein is getting behind the whole vote recount thing on a few states. who would have thought she would get behind a candidate as bad as trump this late... maybe now she thinks this whole "white supremacy thing" is actually worst than anything hillary could do....

Why do a vote recount. Clinton conceeded and has vanished from the stage while trump and the washington establisment and obama transition team are already making concrete moves for a smooth transition.

I dont understamd why democrats are sore losers. A bad democrat candidate was created and pushed to win and lost badly. Choose a better younger and more awesomer candidate next time.

Republicans are sore losers as well. Let's not pretend they weren't horrible and made racist comments when Obama won. ONe can argue republicans are way worse because they had no reason to protest or whine about Obama winning, who actually did do more than BUsh ever did.

And the main reason democrats aren't happy is because we have a piece of shit in the office who's appointing bigger pieces of shits to power and being a symbol of Nazi movement rising in the country, hidden as "alt right."

Thankfully school curriculums will finally be able to openly present materials regarding intelligent design again reinforcing the Christian values of our country.

Of all the people who i think fucked up when equivalencing clinton with trump, i would give jill stein the benefit of the doubt in not actually knowing what she was saying lol.

No they won't

Teaching intelligent design in public schools is in direct violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Federal courts have already ruled on this and determined that it isn't a science. End of story. Proponents of teaching this drivel to children are the same kind of people that insist dinosaurs are a hoax or that the earth is flat. If you want to associate with that crowd, be my guest, but you have no right to insist anyone's child should be exposed to it in a curriculum funded by our tax dollars.

Why is it good that curriculums can present a lie?

Intelligent design is dumb, and anyone who believes in it... well, there's nothing wrong with them per se, but they shouldn't be teaching more lies in school. That's taking away freedom.

Our country was not found on Christian values, which are wrong values anyway.

Daily reminder that the whole "Christian Values" is a void argument in presence of the Treaty of Tripoli (Article 11). You have every right to practice your faith, but you have no right to force it in a government (Otherwise, the U.S. might as well as turn into another Iran).

Which administration did this happen under?

Thomas Jefferson's....all the way up until Obama's. But do keep in mind that the judge that heard this case is a Republican, and was appointed to his position in the court by George W. Bush and was unanimously approved by the Senate. So the all too common complaint of "judicial activism" by the religious right doesn't really hold much water, does it? Not that it stops them from complaining about it. :lmao

Where does this put Christian and Catholic Private Schools?
They're not directly funded by tax dollars (even though religious institutions are in function due to being tax-exempt organizations...but I digress)

Don't see the point in this, because Private Schools aren't paid using Taxes (or, at least not that I'm aware of).

It stems from 20th century politicians using the words of John Winthrop, one of the founders of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. A Puritan more concerned with how one interpreted the bible and crying heresy over it instead of the pursuit of actual human rights. Apparently what these people said 150 years before the Revolutionary War matter more to some than what the actual framers of the Consitution said regarding the separation of church and state. One of the more truly confounding things about this country.

It's religion, people tend not to make sense when it comes to religion and fictional gods. Ironic thing about claiming Christian values is that most Christians who preach it don't follow it themselves, getting divorces, committing adultery, and other shit.

This isn't about whether they're hypocritical or not, it's about why they believe this country was founded on these principles just because a majority of the population was Christian.

I guess it's as simple as the religious saying that anything good about society is inherently "Christian" in some way...still makes no sense.

Wait, I thought majority were Quakers and/or Puritans at the time? I know Christians definitely didn't immigrate here first, it was probably the Quakers.

It kinda makes sense when you get how Christians are too prideful of their religion, fearful of Hell, and have been brainwashed into believing God is real and Christianity is the best religion.
