When people fled religious persecution in Europe and explored religious freedom on these mundane shores.
Why do you keep repeating this falsehood? Some of the original 13 colonies were founded with religious premises in mind, 150+ years before our current nation ever existed. The country we currently live in today is not the same as the Virginian, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, or Maryland colonies. In fact, many of the latter colonies were formed precisely due to religious differences.

It seems Trump had a nice chat with Australian PM. And he threatened to send military to Mexico

I hope Trump speaks to Kim Jong Un via telephone one day :lmao

And the country won't be anywhere near 'rich' even in 5 decades no matter what you do. There are insane structural and political problems.
I don't think anyone in the US has any delusions about afghanistan turning into south korea, they didn't even try doing that.
True......but they'd love to do that. There are insane amount of problems because if US leaves now Talibans will rise to power. I doubt US would be happy with that.

That is not going to happen, and they are not bigger than the Uk or France even tho they have more than ten times the population.

Noone should be happy with the Taliban rising to power, but if the US had a problem with that, they coulda prevented it back in the 90's when Afghanistan had a significant democratic reistance.
They didn't because that is nothing the US would care about.
The rise of the Taliban will be a PR disaster, but it will hardly matter in times of Trump where every day is a PR disaster.

Not if India does not solve its problems.
India surely has the potential due to size to be a bigger economy, but there is no way it can do that in the near future due to the aforementioned problems.
Most projections assume that India's problems will get worse until 2050, not better.
And it really has hell of a lot work to do.
The gigantic rise in population it lately had is almost completely focussed on the poorest of their society, and it still has a significant part of society housing in slums without access to clean water or power.
It faces a serious braindrain from the west, it faces insanely complex structural problems (distribution of water, food and power, also public travel) and the morphing of its export products from cheaply produced products to actual high tech is going much slower than many hoped.

India is not China, and even China is beginning to face lots of problems they didn't have in their Boom phase.

In the upcoming economical struggle between trading blocks, india will not play a huge role.
It might become a huge player by 2050, but sheer volume is not going to cut it if their products never make it out of east asia.

Funfact: Since January 2015, more than 13.000 people in the US have died in mass shootings.

Those arent terror attacks.
Debateable, but those surely make your country unsafer than any terror would make france.
I still don't hear you going on and on about that.

France is a much safer country than the US in any shape or form if you look at the crimerates.

You cite a statistic which conventiently includes two very big terror attacks, Nizza and Bataclan, which had really nothing to do with refugees and could and would have been carried out anyway.
The same goes for the US btw: Trump initiates won't help you.

Gun violence between intimate partners, or domestic violence are not terror attacks. You cant compare the two.
But we sure as hell can compare massshootings of lonewolfs to terror attacks, and those are insanely more numberous while you find it nice to give out more guns to mentally ill people.

So it is hella double standard by you to say you want a safer america.
A muslim ban is not going to make america safer, nor would it make france safer.

When was the last time you even saw an attack at an American museum?

Yes, the two weeks trump has been president have been incredibly effective, even retroactively.

Banning recreational objects only makes sense in a world where cars or alcohol is banned, do you know how many car accidents there are a year, and lets not add drunk driving incidents on top of that.

A person wanting death and destruction will use others means, see hijacking an aeroplane.

Doesn't change the fact that the killings are absurd in America. 93 people are killed on an Average Day, that's almost half of the total amount of deaths by Terror Attacks in France in just a single day.
You're telling me you're more scared to get killed by a Terrorist than by your neighbor with a gun?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Holocaust_Memorial_Museum_shooting

Also, the Louvre incident has zero reported casualties (except the Machete-wielder getting shot at). The moron is just stirring up the pot.

Why would I think my neighbor who possess a gun would be a scary thought enough to make me so frightened that Id want these recreational devices for game and wildlife activities banned? That is an odd fear, Im more afraid of being hit by a drunk driver at night, or to be involved in a head on car crash than to even entertain the thought of being shot in broad daylight by a neighbor. During Obama presidency I was more afraid of being involved in a terrorist attack on an aeroplane or in a public location than to worry about a neighbor using a piece of recreational equipment on me, sorry, but he put us in a perilous terroristic state. I felt relieve once Trump initiated his order.

Oh, a person wanting death and destruction will always do it.....But a ban for countries from which no single terrorist came to the US helps then, while banning the one completely unncessary thing (for civillian) that kills thousands of americans every month thing does not?

Suuuuure.

The problem with the ban is that in no form or context it can help prevent the terrorist attacks in question. Just look at the past attacks... how would an immigration ban have prevented them? Attacks are usually carried out by people who have either EU or US nationality and residency. To the best of my knowledge, a similar muslim ban being in effect years ago would not have even vaguely inconvenienced any of the terrorist that carried out successful attacks. In that regard, the ban has no possibility of success. There are two options here the way I see it, either trump is being honest about it being meant to prevent terrorist attacks or he is being dishonest about it. If he is honest then he is acting like an idiot. Simply because there is no possibility of success here, his plan is fundamentally flawed and there is an obvious lack of understanding of the situation. Then there is the second alternative, that he is dishonest about its purpose. He knows what he is doing can't work but he doesn't care. It's just an excuse to keep more muslims from coming into the country. Basically, blatant xenophobia. I guess there is a third possibility of a combination of both things (genuinely believing they are a threat and also wants to keep muslims out in general)...
