Why would I think my neighbor who possess a gun would be a scary thought enough to make me so frightened that Id want these recreational devices for game and wildlife activities banned? That is an odd fear, Im more afraid of being hit by a drunk driver at night, or to be involved in a head on car crash than to even entertain the thought of being shot in broad daylight by a neighbor. During Obama presidency I was more afraid of being involved in a terrorist attack on an aeroplane or in a public location than to worry about a neighbor using a piece of recreational equipment on me, sorry, but he put us in a perilous terroristic state. I felt relieve once Trump initiated his order.
Because your neighbor possesses a weapon that's made to KILL people. Unless you got to know the neighbor really well (like medical history, social life, ect...), the thought of having someone close to you with a weapon is unnerving.
Well guess what? Getting shot in broad daylight happens in America, more often than getting in a head-on car crash.

You're more scared of being a passenger in a high-jacked airplane than being scared of your neighbor with a gun? Guess I should buy myself a Lottery Ticket, because I would have a better chance at winning a million dollars than being a passenger in a high-jacked plane.

How in the hell do you feel relieved about the Moron's executive order? It will prove ineffective just like building a Wall. You still have Saudis (which most of the Terrorist Attackers originated from) and other nationalities. I don't get you...

The thought of someone using drugs such as marijuana or smoking or drinking is more unnerving to me, awful smells that permeates, butts of cigarettes, secondhand noxious cancerous smoke, the potential for being drunk in public and loud and rude when they are in their drunken state, even barfing in front of the door, or worst setting off the fire alarm or burning down the complex all much more annoying and scary than simply being a legal gun owner.

Well guess what? Getting shot in broad daylight happens in America, more often than getting in a head-on car crash.
Wheres the numbers for getting shot in broad daylight I see numbers for head on collisions (10.1% of all car crashes in America).

Well look at how many plane incidents occurred during Obama's presidency, My fear is founded in realism. Lets not mention the number of non American incidents with crashed and disappearing planes.

How is either ineffective, revoke and block access means the less number of potential terrorists entering the country. Building a wall with agents patrolling it will continue to cause the number of illegals and the amount of trafficked drugs to decrease ensuring a safer and more secure America. If even [1] person is prevented in either way then the EO is a success in my book.

The problem with the ban is that in no form or context it can help prevent the terrorist attacks in question. Just look at the past attacks... how would an immigration ban have prevented them? Attacks are usually carried out by people who have either EU or US nationality and residency. To the best of my knowledge, a similar muslim ban being in effect years ago would not have even vaguely inconvenienced any of the terrorist that carried out successful attacks. In that regard, the ban has no possibility of success.
Wouldnt it have prevented planes from being hijacked and the terrorists from having support?

Well, for one thing the current ban does not include literally any of the countries the guys responsible for 9/11 were from. Second, the vast majority of the actual refugees are regular people running away from war and terrorism. I have no idea of what you mean regarding terrorists having support though.

Legal Gun Owner or not, the fact of the matter is that they have a weapon that's made for killing.

Can't say that I have the numbers, since I can't seem to find anything that specifies "Gun Violence in Daylight".

Well look at how many plane incidents occurred during Obama's presidency, My fear is founded in realism. Lets not mention the number of non American incidents with crashed and disappearing planes.
That still isn't as recurring as gun violence in the U.S., which happens every single day.
Besides, "Plane Incidents" happens through natural causes, unless you're referring to highjacks (which even still is extremely rare for that to happen).

How is either ineffective, revoke and block access means the less number of potential terrorists entering the country. Trump's stupid ban and wall are ineffective because:
  • It won't stop Terrorism or any Terrorist Attacks. It has been proven over and over again that the "Terrorist Attacks" we had last year were natural born citizens. Being indoctrinated is as easy as it can get thanks to the power of Social Media (and the Deep Web), so you don't need to send someone and create an Organization in another part of the World. Even if you were to keep those 7 countries banned, you still have the Number 1 Breeding Ground of Extremism and where most of them originated from (Saudi Arabia).
  • This Ban affects anyone but "Terrorists" because people who wants to live in the U.S. wants a better life. Yes, they come here Legally; it's not easy to apply for a U.S. Citizenship at all, so it would take years to be accepted. Point being, Terrorists don't give a shit if the Moron bans 7 country from coming into the U.S. because it just means people escaping from the Terrorist Rule will be the real losers.
  • A Wall isn't going to stop any Drug Cartels nor will it stop any "Illegal Immigrants". Underground Tunnels exists for a good reason, unless the Moron wants to build an "Underground Wall" or builds a Wall on the Ocean. In other words: Waste of Taxpayers' money and cause a tension between Mexico and the U.S.

Gun violence between intimate partners, or domestic violence are not terror attacks. You cant compare the two.
The mosque attack was a terrorist attack done by a white nationalist who idolizes Trump. I don't see Trump or you offering condolences to the victims or their families, and Trump never brought it up. Yet he's so quick to bring up Louvre Museum being attacked. Clear cut case that neither of you care about the safety of US, and that it's just xenophobia against a religion. I mean, the fact that the republicans made it allowable for people with mental illnesses to buy guns is proof itself that they don't give a shit about the country or its safety.

Ironically, they're also the first to blame mental illnesses anytime a mass shooting occurs, when guns are clearly the issue here. The strict gun laws that France has probably prevented the terrorist from getting a gun, and thanks to a machete he was easily stopped. Oddly enough, the terrorist was from a country that Trump didn't ban, in France on a visa and not as a refugee.

Trump is also a liar. We've faced far less attacks from Islamic terrorists than we have from white nationalists and Christians. If republicans really cared about making the country safer, they'd deal with guns and white people or Christians first. And if Trump really cared about decreasing violence in black communities, he would be supporting programs that get kids off the streets.

I need actual proof, not a liar saying Trump called someone. He never issued public condolences whereas with the Louvre Museum attack, Trump was quick to tweet how "radical Islamists" were bad. If the shooter was not white, or if the victims were not Muslims, Trump would have offered his condolences.

But this further proves that white people and Christians commit more acts of terrorism than Muslims in United States. Seems the right wing will accept terrorism as long as it's not a nonwhite committing the acts.

What makes you think it is about money? By that logic, the US should nonstop declare their undying love to saudi arabia.
But they don't.
To think the US would be dependend on israeli money is really not founded on an objective basis.
The fact that Israel is in a more delicate political situation than south korea is the key part here and that republicans traditionally put, as christians, a big emphasis on the region.

In any case: The clinton foundation got peanut money years before clinton even was secretary of state by saudi donors. Yes. So what?

To think that she received any significant amount of the saudis as government when it was clear she would be in a political keyrole is one of the baseless claims that character assassinated her in the election.
When it comes to Israel sure religion plays some part but big money interest is a much larger part as many big donors and bankers have ties there and they donate to both parties. Also since culturally it's closer and seen as the one steadfast ally when all others turn.
The Saudi's have a larger cultural difference but it's their oil which is of greater interest thus why we don't speak out against human rights issues against them and essentially turn a blind eye to all their activities at least publicly.

Since the Clinton's are a former presidential family who until recently were involved directly in politics holding office for 35+ years with the last 20 during and post presidency. Clearly they have been a high profile political family with deep connections and influence similar to the Bush's. The fact that they have made a ton of money making speeches, globetrotting and due to their political influence is not exactly a secret.

Pretending that any objective criticism of their habit of taking money from various sources is not conspiracy hunting. They are not some innocent victims Goldman Sachs didn't hold a gun to her head and force her to take all that money.

.

Banning recreational objects only makes sense in a world where cars or alcohol is banned, do you know how many car accidents there are a year, and lets not add drunk driving incidents on top of that.

A person wanting death and destruction will use others means, see hijacking an aeroplane.
Guns are not recreational objects they are weapons designed to kill lets pretend otherwise. Yes they can and are used by many responsible people for recreation which is fine. However common sense should tell us we should not make it easier for people with dangerous mental issues and those on a terrorist watch list easy access to dangerous weapons.

If recent events have shown us anything it is that the trend of terrorist activities has gone small scale rather than trying to hijack a plane and risk getting caught by security measures it's a lot easier to use local targets using conventional means. Safe guarding against every event is not possible but knowing that such things are possible why make it easier for those looking to do harm.

Passing these as laws and procedures such as background checks wont stop all terrorism but it certainly closes some of the loop holes. Why would you argue against creating safeguards to protect American citizens?

To the best of my knowledge, a similar muslim ban being in effect years ago would not have even vaguely inconvenienced any of the terrorist that carried out successful attacks. In that regard, the ban has no possibility of success. There are two options here the way I see it, either trump is being honest about it being meant to prevent terrorist attacks or he is being dishonest about it. If he is honest then he is acting like an idiot. Simply because there is no possibility of success here, his plan is fundamentally flawed and there is an obvious lack of understanding of the situation. Then there is the second alternative, that he is dishonest about its purpose. He knows what he is doing can't work but he doesn't care. It's just an excuse to keep more muslims from coming into the country. Basically, blatant xenophobia. I guess there is a third possibility of a combination of both things (genuinely believing they are a threat and also wants to keep muslims out in general)...
So trump is supposed to accept potential ISIS Trojan horses and do nothing about it, until they start delivering? Thats a bad deal as well.

Also a lot of the refugees to the US are being rushed in by the Obama Administration, Obama should've just stopped dicking around on his last days in office because now Trump needs to go ham on other countries involved with obama's insane refugee plans, uneeded tension being generated thanks to Obama, if you couldnt have the nr. Of refugees you wanted in you shouldnt have pushed things so trump would have to deal with your arranged refugees on his own presidency you are either screwing the refugees you promised shelter to or sabotaging trump's campaign promises, this types of political moves really disgust me.

And what've those leftists been doing with their protests? Pro Trump guys and journalists are now buying even more guns for self-defense, good job dems you just made banning guns much harder now with your protests and violence, keep doing it and you will make the weapon industry great again.:verily

So apparently, the republicans' rolling back the bill to prevent people with mental illness from buying guns was also targeted towards people who don't have mental issues but eating disorders. Still fucked up, but the republicans we have and Trump are huge fuck-ups. Christ, the right are such brainwashed idiots that they don't care about the party lying and hurting us.

Muslim ban is even more stupid when you consider the fact that more whites and Christians have committed acts of terrorism in one year than Muslims in ten years, in US.

But making a ton of money for speeches is nothing forbidden. It also does not make you dependend on the person who gave you money for the speeches.
The Clintons are millionaires anyway.
Clinton got most money for her campagain from Universities, she got less money for her campaign from banks than Obama did.
And Obama did in fact regulate the banks somewhat, regulations which trump stopped now.

So how in the world does anyone think that clinton is dependend on someone because she got some money for speeches from him? What is the lever that person would have over clinton after the election? How does that make sense when she gave basically a lot of different interest groups (including universities, for example) speeches that have different interests?

People make a fuss over absolutely nothing here.
And this IS making up a conspiracy, because things are shown in a wrong light.

Much like it is nonsense to show a picture of a politician handshaking with another politician and acting like they are friends.
There is no evidence of clinton taking any money illegally.
And obviously someone is an innocent victim when they do something legally that is not even ethically wrong and people act like they are 'the bitches of wallstreet' just because they have workign connections to that place.

I didnt hear people cry about Obama taking money from banks in his run. And he didnt even need to hold speeches, they just donated it.
Why is that the case?
Simply: Because clinton got character assassinated .
Not like they didn't try it with obama, don't get me wrong here, but in both obama's and clinton's case, acting like they are in the hands of lobbyists was pure bullshit.

Charming isn't enough, especially against Romney and McCain. People just more genuinely believed in Obama than they did Hillary, whose main advantage was that Trump is an incompetent piece of shit.

Well, but they already vet refugees for precisely that. And ISIS does not need something as complicated as refugees to get terrorist to the US and EU. Look at every terrorist attack so far. How many have been caused by refugees? And how many refugees are there already? The refugees are an excuse for xenophones to keep muslims out of the US, there is no evidence that there are terrorists getting into the US or EU via any refugee program. And even if there was evidence, the solution should be to take measures to stop that from happening rather than the idiocy trump is carrying out....

So.... they are going to shot leftists? That seems like a great idea! shot all the people who don't like guns and that way you have only people who love guns! And democracy can start working again!

So far some terrorists had refugee connections, but I do agree that there are also some who dont seem to have those connections, there are also cases of 2nd generation radicalization from descendants of 1st generation refugees, but that comes at the consequence, of guetto formations, so unless the guettos start getting fixed that part of the problem isnt getting fixed, unfortunately for those 2nd gen. ones, due to their 1st gen. refugee connections people can just assume this: "if the 1st gen. refugees hadnt came in to our country we wouldnt have risks of radicalized 2nd gen. terrorists coming up". This is quite some argument, I really think the issue is the segregation and the guetto formation more than anything else, thats why women in Paris get blocked from going into certain bars.

The program is being rushed in and thus enables the capacity for missteps to happen, if that refugee program ends up giving US and EU terrorists is because those are being badly executed, but of course Obama would rather try to put salt on Trump and try to sabotage him with a rushed program execution over, trying to do a proper job in it and thanks to him a bunch of refugees are now stuck in Austrália, this was all predictable of course, Trump is stopping the refugee program into the US, because it´s not working in filtering terrorists, and perhaps he wants 1st gen. refugees to get into American society, instead of forming guettos and segregating themselves (which is also a consequence of bad refugee programming), which raises the risk of gen. 2 ISIS terrorists being raised straight up in the American soil, EU didnt do very well in this program, which just ends up justifying Trump´s POV here.

Thats gonna depend, if leftist attacks on trump-supporters continue like this, someday someone is gonna start shootting, but between a bunch of civilian pro-trump supporters and his endorsements + Police, I´m calling now that the police will crack first and lose their patience with this protests at some point, especially if they keep getting attacked by Alt right media, due to oposite views on how they should do their job (some cops are being acused of being cowards that let leftist rioters do whatever they want with no punishment or control in whatsoever).

No terrorist is coming into this country as a refugee as long as our vetting process remains stringent. They're not as dumb as Trump or his supporters; why would they risk spending months and years while hoping they don't give themselves away, as anything remotely suspicious would get them shipped back? Easier to do it via visa, and even then we're still safe as compared to homegrown.

Trump's travel ban blocked.........and new sanctions on Iran.

Trump says judge's decision will be overturned.

Sanctions on Iran has so far been futile. I wonder what's the point of it. Probably that's a way of him saying we're taking actions against Iran.

Now it only takes a single firearm to go off, and World War 3 kicks off.
Meanwhile, people will still use Hillary as "She'll start WW3/Her Emails!". Either way, we're screwed.

Trump even frigging made the statement that he wants zones in which 'syrian civillians cannot be attacked by air attacks'.....so....no fly zones.
But ya, if clinton woulda opted for it, it woulda been WW3.

He put Rich bankers into important positions (including a guy from goldman sachs) but clinton is evil because she held speeches for that bank some years ago.
He also shut down all regulations Obama imposed on Banks.
But ya, drain the swamp. And his stupid supporters still believe it.

Honestly, can we at least now all agree that a pathetic orange clown was elected into office that was the objectively worse choice?

I can only hope that judges will show him some limits before he actually pulls through with his, and i will call it like that because i legitimately think it is, fascist remodeling of the state?

It is no joke if the president of an important country like that declares war on the press and even judges and justifies it by having 'the people' behind him (while running a hostile rhetoric against the part of the people who is against him).

Trump is an idiot, but the fact that he is ridicoulus should not camouflage the fact that he is factually dangerous, whether due to his own agenda or those that stand behind him in the shadows.

okay, so it looks like the Muslim ban will get in fron of surpreme court where currently 4 democrat and 4 republican judges reside.

I am not sure whether trump can get his scotus in before this decision will happen, but if he cannot,, th emuslim ban might be off the table.

What you are basically saying here is 'stop protesting if your rights get taken away and someone attacks judges and the free press, or you get shot and you are responsible for being shot'.

Are you not aware that if people would stop protesting, fascists get free reign over that country?
How can you blame the people who are legitimately afraid of their country being taken over by nazis?
