Trump bungling the fight against the pandemic, attacking peaceful protesters (not that there haven't been violent protesters but not nearly as much as trump pretends) and using federal agents as a secret police seems very on brand for trump.

Second reason it's bullshit is because it's founded by Tucker Carlson.
I would not take that source seriously, and nor should anyone with a brain. Third to last paragraph even says Trump has ridden on Epstein's plane on at least one occasion and spoke highly of him, and given that he mentioned Epstein, like him, liked women on the younger side, I'm pretty sure Trump knew about the underage girls.

You're simplifying it too much. Democrats are different from Republicans in that they know they have to give a shit about the people in order to win, whereas Republicans can screw over people and still get votes.

There seem to be an extreme lack of conservative voices in this thread. I'm not an american, I just watch american politics from my porch on the other side of the world. Swedish politics is super boring so I tend to do like people worldwide who cheer for Arsenal or Real Madrid and take the position of a republican online.

I see the left complain about this a lot, but I dont hear any details. What exactly is it that you think that Trump could have done better?
Again, what do you think he should have done instead? Should the police ever be allowed to intervene against a protest in your mind? How big a percent of a riot have to be peaceful for you to allow them to continue?
I dont understand this argument either. The police are not "Secret" no mater what the media/democrats tells you. Every one of them have police markings or DHS markings. Its not like they have civilian clothes. And their strategy see perfectly sound to me. There are many individuals who commits crimes in a protest, but the majority might not. So the police have surveillance over the protest with drones and cameras in order to identify the criminals. They cant just walk in to arrest them or there would be war in the street so they wait until they see that the criminal is leaving the crowd for home or something and then arrest him when he is away from the protest. This seem like the most sensible way of handling things, but I can see how people who are supporting the protests might not like that their "safety-in-numbers-get-out-of-jail-card" is not working anymore.

We are about to test this in real life actually. The three main Democrat strongholds Illinois, Calofornia and New York are all losing population. And it is mainly people who are not far left that are leaving. If trends continue then there will only be leftists left in these states as their hate and intolerance have driven away everyone else. Then we can have a look and see if its a paradise or a North Korea failed terror state. Or something in between.
I think you and a lot of people have a flawed view of what makes someone right wing or left wing. I should write a guide on this at some point. The gist of it is that people do not usually choose their politics based on arguments. They choose them based on instincts and emotions. Different ideologies represents different emotions and instincts.

And a lot of people voting for Biden or not voting at all are upset that the system is so broken that we have to vote between two sexual assaulters or two men at least accused of sexual assault. It says a lot how horrible and shitty Trump is that many people are voting for Biden.

A quick Google search says that one of the reasons why people are leaving California is because of forest fires. Not to mention, it must be expensive to live in California and New York, so I'm not surprised people are leaving.
Wonder how much population red states like Texas, Arizona, and Florida will lose because of right wingers' insistence on reopening and not wearing masks. Covid cases in those states went up significantly.
Your guide would likely be wrong. Most people choose politics based on family, which tends to be the case among right wingers. It seems like brainwashing more than instincts and emotions.

You are misstating the question. Its not "is he a pedo" but rather "would you vote for him if it was proven that he is a pedo?"
Also, Epstein was only arrested because Trump is in the white house. Everything about him was know by the Obama white house, but they gave him a sweetheart deal were he only had to spend weekends in a minimum security jail for less than a year. This due to pressure from the Obama DOJ on the prosecutor. But when Trump got into power Epstens protectors lost their jobs and he was arrested anew. It is extreme projection of the left to think that Trump would have liked Epstein when all evidence points to it being the democrats that have protected him for this long and trump ending that protection.

KKK is bad, but I dont see much difference between them and BLM. Its all racial hatred. BLM is weirder as it is often whites who hates themselves. Oh well. Nazism is short for National Socialism. Its a bit tricky as I personally see socialism and leftism as two different things. I would say that Natzies are right wing socialists. Cost of living is the greatest reason in California. They have the second highest cost of living/average income out of all states and looks a lot like a third world country in that regard. (from memory). This is mostly due to high taxes and extreme regulation. But it is also greatly about the extreme intolerance of the California left towards anyone who does not agree with them in every case. They dont know how to compromise.
In Illinois its the same thing but also because of their retarded pension system for public workers. They have some of the highest pensions for the shortest amount of work in the world. The state has mended their constitution so that the state can never reduce down a pension payment. This means that if the state runs out of money they have to prioritize paying pensions before anything else. And the public pension funds are almost out of money so soon all pensions will be paid directly with tax money. The only solution is to raise taxes by a lot, but they already have some of the highest taxes in the country and the inhabitants get nothing for the money unless they are retired. So people who can read the writing on the walls are leaving the state in droves. Which mean a lower tax base, which means they have to raise taxes even further on the ones who stay.
That and gangsters in chicago kills as many black people in a week as every police in america kills innocent black people in a year. Funny how BLM wont talk about that.
New York is a bit premature to say. They have only started losing people recently. Initially because of the lockdowns for Covid. Why would you want to be stuck in an apartment all summer long when you can move out to the countryside and be in the open air? (If you have the money). But then the riots and defund the police and the general budget deficits and companies leaving and threats of new taxes and people saw that the idea of leaving NY was a good one if you have the money. We'll see how it turns out. Maybe people move back if covid ends and law&order returns.
Funny you should say that. I live in Sweden and our governments response to covid have been much more extreme than Trumps. "This too shall pass!" I have not been in lockdown a single day. I dont own a mask. (They look uncomfortable and no one else is using one.) I have been at work though the entire epidemic and I have been eating lunch at restaurants for most working days. There was a dip for the restaurants in the beginning but now its so full that you can barely get a seat again. Just like before covid.
As far as the government is concerned this disease is not worse than your average influenza. Having looked around i tend to agree.

Trump has pretty much done nothing to contain the pandemic. His initial response to it, contrary to pretty much any half decent medical expert out there, was that it was just a flu and it would go away. He never took any measures to aid lockdowns and if anything opposed them, his party followed. And it took 4 months into the pandemic for him to even advise people to wear a mask. And the guy is so pathetic and small that all he does is blame the WHO and china about what is ultimately his own shortcomings in dealing with this. The guy even had his own intelligence agencies telling him as early as december about the risks of the pandemic.. And he ignored it all for the sake of his precious stock market.
How about, actually giving protesters what they want (not all were rioters)? In this case protesters are in the right, basic civil liberties are being trashed every day by a needlessly violent and poorly trained police force. Add to that, one of the issues here is also confederate statues... Statues to people who basically betrayed the US, lost a war and were ultimately placed there as an intimidation tactic. It makes historical sense to either remove or destroy them (in case they aren't removed).
That's simply not how things work in the US. The department of homeland security is a federal agency that trump is mobilizing to various states. This done without involving or asking local law enforcement and in most cases even after expressly being told not to do that. These federal agents are masked people who were trained to deal with entirely different things. And they are arresting people without showing their faces and without probable cause and without jurisdiction. Basically fuck state rights (but then again, we all know state rights only matter when its convenient for the GOP), fuck the US constitution and fuck basic human rights.

Did he? I remember that he locked down flights in to america from countries with corona already in January while the media and democrats called him racist and fascist for doing so. He also tried to lock down infected areas early only to be told by the courts and states that he did not have that authority. Only the states have the authority to lock down the states. Afterward he changed his mind when it was shown that the disease was not as dangerous as previously expected. And permanent lockdowns with no end in sight will only wreck the economy and cause suicides for people with no work/no money.
Also you pretty much have two realistic options for dealing with corona. Either you lock down 100 % in the beginning when you have few cases or you ignore it until you have heard immunity. (Like Sweden) You cant do a mix. And the "not wearing a mask thing" was advice from Dr Fauchi. Which he later rescinded.
Also, WHO and China are to blame. There is good evidence that they knew about the virus already in november. But china told no one because if china is going to shut down because of a virus they want all their competitors to shut down also. WHO also spread Chinese propaganda about the 2% mortality rate. Now we know it is closer to 0.26% and maybe even lower due to symptomless people. And almost all people who die are really old. Thats about twice as bad as the seasonal flu.
But what do they want? And how do you chose which one of the myriad factions in the protest to listen to? Some of them want to abolish police entirely and replace it with political "Community policing." If you looked at Seattle and the "Chaz" you have already seen it in action. In a fit of supreme irony "community police" of Chaz managed to kill no less than three innocent black people during its two weeks of existence. The police in all of america killed 10 innocent black people in a single year. If you annualize the Chaz killings you get 3 * 26 = 78 for just 6 city blocks! Compared to 10 for the entire country with normal police.
I dont deny that there are problems with the police in america. But you cant compare them to a utopia. There will always be problems in multicultural societies because different groups want different things and want to police themselves at the expense of everyone else. As for the statues. You do realize that they have torn down statues of: Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves. Teddy Roosevelt who was probably the most popular president in american history. Christopher Columbus who found the country as well as a lot of people who fought to liberate slaves and even statues of former slaves themselves. This is not about racism. This is about resentful and destructive people who just want to watch the world burn and everyone to bow before them. You cant meet crazy people half way.
What makes you think that Federal authorities have no authority at a federal courthouse? Or anywhere for that mater? And why should the consent of the local authorities mater? Federal authorities have arrested plenty of of mayors and governors of various cities and states for corruption and other crimes. The reason the feds does this is that the local officials are too compromised to ever prosecute their superiors and cant go against their wishes. So it the local law fails the feds have to step in.
Oh yea masks and anonymity. Let me tell you a bit of history from the great depression. Cities had huge problems with mafias and organized crime that would avenge any arrests by attacking the family of any cop that arrested them or any judge that sentenced them. Eventually they would have complete control of a city and no one could move against them. So the feds created a new strike force referred to as "the untouchables" that would go in to compromised communities and pretty much kidnap well known gangsters and bring them out of state to jurisdictions not under mob control. It was effective. The mafias could do little to strike back against an enemy they cant identify and cant threaten. What was the name of the organization? They called themselves the Federal Bureau of Investigation. They are still around today!
Its fun to see that the feds have gone back to their roots!

The main criticism trump took from when he shut down flights to europe was over doing without letting anyone know. It was an unilateral decision that came from nowhere. In the end what matters here is whether politicians implement measures based on what actual scientists are saying regarding how to handle and contain disease. And that's not what has been happening here.
True, Fauci did initially say not to wear masks. But the context there is that at the time there just wasn't information on how effective masks would be at containing this AND masks were scarce. So the priority was for medical professionals treating people to have access to them. Over time we learned how effective masks are and they also became less scarce. On this end at least there is no fault on fauci's part.
Ah, china absolutely covered up stuff. Plenty of intelligence agencies around the world have made the point that they did so to hoard medical supplies. The WHO's role in this is more questionable though. I haven't seen any actual evidence that they had an active and willing role in covering things up for china. As an organization they simply do their own medical research along with receiving medical data from other countries.... Now, they should have absolutely been more skeptical of china at least, since its a totalitarian government with a history of being unreliable, but even then counterintelligence is neither the WHO's forte nor function. US intelligence agencies had plenty of information regarding how serious this was iirc since January or December... And yet clearly the US did not act on it.
And it is true that only governors can shut down the economy. But there was still plenty trump could do but didn't. He is still the leader of the republican party. If he along with actual medical professionals told governors to shut down to contain this at least the majority would have listened. His supporters, who for reasons beyond my understanding trust him more than actual medical professionals, would have likely listened if trump told them to stay home for their own good. As in, trump had an actual chance to do a full lockdown but didn't. I honestly don't think this would have been possible for obama for instance since there are republican party wings that would simply never listen to anything he has to say.
But.. that bit about the CHAZ is irrelevant to the point. That was just a protest. Sure, it's impossible to do every thing every single protester wants, but that's not the point either. In the end what people wanted was meaningful police reform. Reduce police functions, demilitarization, longer and better training... But unfortunately a substantial part of the republican party (and trump) ultimately thinks the police is doing its job as it is supposed to, hence no meaningful reforms. A substantial part of the democrat party also thinks the police is kinda fine and just needs a few edges getting polished... Which is bad enough as well. I do think these protests have kinda opened a lot of people's eyes in regards to the police in the US being systematically underqualified for its job, needlessly violent and ultimately lacking the tools to police properly.
Federal authorities deal with federal crimes. And yeah, a federal courthouse is their turf. But mobilizing them without informing local authorities to deal with non federal crimes is simply not constitutional and not legal. Let alone arrests without probable cause...
And why is that relevant at all? They are dealing with protesters, not organized crime and mobsters. Add to that that the presence of those federal agents (and trump) has instigated violence...

KKK is about racial superiorirty... BLM is about equality. Its about giving black people a fair chance in a system which is unjust. KKK literally think Jews operate like a mafia, have a history of violence and still defend lynching. BLM is a movement which is overwhelmingly peaceful... You cannot equate the two or even say there's no difference...
I think people leaving california definitely has to do with cost of living. Rents are crazy, when i moved to SF in 2008, the rent was 1500$ for a 1 bdroom. The same apartment pre Covid went for 4500$, mainly because of all the big startups in the city which pay inflated salaries. 7.25% additional isnt a big deal till you understand that the top 1% pay nearly 50% of the state taxes...
Regarding people moving away, its more than taxes though. A person making 100,000$ a year would pay 7250 ish in state taxes, but wouldn't make the same amount in Texas, where the same pay would be really low. But the people with good salaries would spend a lot less on rent in other states, like texas. Also, these days companies are offering to match California salaries for high tech jobs, and eventually buying a house would be a lot easier. But again, check how Austin is becoming unaffordable too, inspite of having no state tax.
I think California has failed on taxes such as road tax, which affects the lower wage workers more than high income groups, which i would agree. But the state tax has little to do with it.
Also, this extreme intolerance is all bullshit. Most people are moderates in real life but left in social media. No one is leaving the state for that reason..

Claims of Trump banning Epstein are contained in filed court documents. If they were untrue, they would be grounds for perjury and prison time as we've seen with Roger Stone & others.
Everyone hung out with Epstein and took pictures with him, back in the day. No one knew he was a pedophile back then. Hindsight being too 20/20 for most to put that into perspective.
My life is defined by the left wing inventing new and regressive methods to reduce the number of opportunities and options I have in life. Living becomes harder and more complicated for everyone, everyday. Its the political left who is behind it.
If you believe that leads to paradise, good luck with that.

Do they? I don't know if you know any left-leaning people, but many I know are aware of the differences between each religion, and many are religious as well. Many also acknowledge how much damage religions have done, like how Christians used the BIble to justify racism and enslaving Black people.
