That's a different conversation than legislation. Rhetoric like that isn't "buying votes", it's just reinforcing his support. The better conversation is about legislation that is actually damaging.

But my point still stands - they'll cry about Dems "buying" votes but are quiet about their own lying so brazenly for support. At least Biden's doing something that helps people while the REpublicans are harming people.

Trump did essentially the same thing with The First Step Act. It didn't have get the results he wanted so further legislation was never introduced and the GOP no longer gives a shit about it. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a good thing.

Yeah but that's the kind of thing I'd rather see him and politicans do, even if just for votes. That helps people more than lying and dividing does.

It sucks that they didn't plan ahead what to say so that they can give their arguments WHILE the painting was being destroyed because the videos that the media are sharing are just the attacks, and not the speech. The tweet with the full video is like, 5 mil views while the one with just the paint assault is around 48 mil.

And this group has been protesting oil for a while now but are only now being noticed. 454 people were arrested back in April during their protest but now a lot more people know who they are.

I'm not sure I see what the usefulness is there exactly. Conservation of art and the environment aren't mutually exclusive. If you're going to vandalize something for awareness, vandalize something that's deserving of it. Like state or royal property, etc.
