Public opinion?

I'm not sure what you're getting at, but a quick google search says no. Some sites barely have them in the top 50. Not that IQ is a modern and accurate measurement of much.Is it true israel has the highest average IQ of any nation on earth.
With the majority of the world's "intelligentsia" being of jewish descent?
A quick glance at Ben Shapiro's history of soundbytes says: no.
But I'm not dismissing these claims out of hand.
Race realists like Stefan Molyneux or Nick Fuentes would say yes, but... they're race realists. They want to use science in dishonest ways to push racist agendas. And they ignore that there's more to determining intelligence than IQ alone. Is it true israel has the highest average IQ of any nation on earth.

Idk about the people you're referring to in totality, but I very much doubt Kasparian actually cares about trans issues as much as she claimed to in the past. She's recently had very weird exchanges with people regarding the topic. So Ana Kasparian, Hasan, and a bunch of other lefties are swearing off of voting for Biden for contributing to Palestinian genocide and... I think this is ill-advised.
If Biden isn't president, who do they think is gonna become president and NOT be majorly pro-Israel in office? Does handing the election to a Republican save Palestinian lives? Of course not.
And what about the super far lefties that are pushing the "Republicans want trans genocide" talking point? You'd be upgrading from one genocide to TWO.

Yeah her recent showing on the PBD podcast was sad. She's still butthurt about the "birthing woman" bullshit and her advocacy for trans people was practically non-existant when they got to that topic. Asshole compared taking your kids to a gender confirmation care doctor is like taking them to Dr. Kavorkian (not sure on the spelling, but the Dr. Death guy from back in the day). And she didn't really push back.Idk about the people you're referring to in totality, but I very much doubt Kasparian actually cares about trans issues as much as she claimed to in the past. She's recently had very weird exchanges with people regarding the topic.
I dunno. I don't think anyone takes the threat seriously and I think it causes feelings of vitriol against anyone who would dare to throw their vote away for the sake of a political statement.I'm of two minds when it comes to this kind of action. Like sure, it doesn't actually lead to solving the issue if the GOP gets elected, but the threat of it is worth doing. The people we vote for and those that are incumbents should be held accountable for their policy on issues that matter. Does it matter that Biden is obviously more LGBTQ friendly? Sure. But does that matter more than what we're funding and allowing to happen in Israel right now? To some it might not. If I was Palestinian and/or had family there I'm not sure how I would feel about it.
Well, no, because while that one policy (being hawkishly pro-Israel) will remain the same, others won't. Like their stance on the LGBTQ community as a clear example, but others too like "anti woke" bullshit. It can literally only go from bad to worse, is my argument.Maybe you could be more doomer about it and say it doesn't really matter who is in office, the policy will remain the same. In that case abstaining from voting for either party would at least be consistent with your values.
Yeah. And Democrats will lose if we pull support for them to try to strongarm them into being more progressive than we know them to be right now. It's fucked, I know. But not so fucked we can't fuck it up further by getting uppity. In any case, the only way this particular issue becomes a losing position for Democrats is if they lose.
Yeah, okay totally Palestinians be it a muslim, christian, jewish should just accept that for 75+ years, Isreal an Apartheid state that stems FROM Zionism, not Judaism they're all fake Jews, the fact you have Orthodox Jews and Rabbis condemning Israel, calling them out for their genocide of an entire race just like Nazis did, oh and "revisionist history" buddy, you are revisionist, Zionism comes from the founding father of Theodore Herzl who went to Britain and offered a FAKE TWO STATE solution to take displaced Jews to Palestine WHEN IN REALITY IT WAS A PLOY TO COLONIZE which the Britain Empire did so without CONSULTING the natives of the land so dont give that shit of "they were given a choice", your line of thinking is fucking complicit and why Israel is getting away with this genocide, the fact people from South Africa can tell that Israel is an Apartheid state cuz South Africans have experienced what an Apartheid or you gonna tell me that's revisionist history, also gonna tell me that the people of Ireland understand that Hamas was created due to the actions of Israel cuz they can tell a terrorist state/group cuz of their history is also revisionist like holy fuck, what a load of shit you are spewing, you are basically fucking a zionist cuz only fucking zionists CLAIM "They(Palestine) never accepted Israel as legitimate". Oh also NEW FLASH when Jews were forced to flee Europe, you know who took them in, Arab countries cuz Islam and Judaism stem from the same leaf with differences but are very much similar, Muslims and Jews have lived in peace and co-existence with another for ages. Like you prob also think this started on October 7th, news flash it didnt, news flash majority of Israelis do not think of Palestinians as humans, they think of them as animals, sub human beings so if anything Israel, A COLONIZER STATE DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT DO DEFEND ITSELF. So amazing how actual footage and evidence of the IDF, of Israelis come out mocking dead, injured, starving helpless Palestinians along with actual evidence of the dead people that Israel has murdered in masses and yet here you are like "they brought upon themselves" attitude, something that is shared amongst Zionists and Zionist supporters. There will never be an Israel-Palestinian peace settlement. For many years:
The whole Israel charade long ago ceased to interest me. I can hardly pretend to be any kind of expert, but my take is that the last chance for any kind of peace deal ended in the 90s. The huge influx of conservative Jews from Russia after the fall of the Iron Curtain, followed by the Second Intifada, turned Israel permanently against any kind of settlement with the Palestinians.
- Virtually every country in the world has condemned Israel’s settlements in the West Bank
- They have all repeatedly voted to say so in the UN
- The US has also opposed Israel’s settlements, but hasn’t officially said so in the UN
- And Israel has said very clearly that the UN is virulently anti-Israel (true) and they pay it no mind
![]()
Because of this, I never blamed George Bush for not trying to broker a peace deal and never blamed Obama for not succeeding. Even people who are sympathetic toward Obama often say that he handled the Middle East badly—and the Israel relationship particularly badly—but I simply don’t see how he could have done any better. Netanyahu treated him with unconcealed contempt; was unapologetic about publicly undermining him; decided to ditch bipartisanship and openly team up with the Republican Party; and very plainly was never open to any kind of settlement at all. There is absolutely nothing Obama could have done to change that.
In any case, the following things are indisputably true:
In other words, nothing is going to happen. Period. Israel is going to keep things as they are, fight off world opinion forever, and hope that maybe over the course of several decades they can slowly get all the Palestinians in the West Bank to emigrate elsewhere. It’s sort of like Mitt Romney’s “self-deportation” on steroids.
- Israeli leaders will never* stop building in the West Bank. It would be electoral suicide
- Israeli leaders will never give up the West Bank. It would be electoral suicide
- Israeli leaders will never formally annex the West Bank. It would be electoral suicide
And just in case you think this puts me on the side of the Arabs and Palestinians, forget it. To the extent that I stay even marginally on Israel’s side, it’s because the Arabs have acted even more abominably. They tried to invade Israel twice. They never cared a fig for the Palestinians except as a convenient poster child. (Jordan must have been the first country in history to lose territory in a war and be happy about it.) They never accepted Israel as legitimate, but for decades they’ve tacitly tolerated its existence because it gives them an easy way of stirring up demagogic hatreds that help prop up their own vicious regimes. The PLO was a murderous terrorist organization, and Hamas is worse. The intifadas were depraved and ruinous. And despite the fact that the Palestinians were clearly on the losing end of a war and needed to accept the best deal they could get, they remained delusional to the end. I’ve never bought into the revisionist history that Bill Clinton’s Wye River/Camp David/Taba negotiations were unfair to the Palestinians and Yasser Arafat was right to turn down the final proposal. He needed to accept it, and he probably knew it. He was just too cowardly to do it and too convinced that his own leadership was dependent on opposition to Israel.
Even in theory, there is literally no settlement that either the Israelis or the Palestinians would accept right now. This isn’t necessarily true forever, but it will be true for a good long time. We should all stop wasting our time on the fantasy that peace talks have any value.

I haven't been following Hasan that closely lately, is there a place where he said he wouldn't support him? I tried twitter but didn't see it.But that's not more important than the lives of the people in Palestine, sure. I'm just saying it's likely gonna be Biden vs. whoever the Republican candidate is gonna be again, and a Republican isn't gonna be less pro-Israel than Biden is. They're gonna be more-so. It's a bad idea to help put that Republican into office by taking votes away from Biden. Because now you've got another Biden who is also anti-LGBTQ.
I think speaking reality about what is happening in Israel now shouldn't even be considered progressive really. You're either willing to recognize state-sponsored psychopathy when you see it, or you'd prefer to ignore it because it's too inconvenient.Yeah. And Democrats will lose if we pull support for them to try to strongarm them into being more progressive than we know them to be right now. It's fucked, I know. Invading an occupier, Lol, some people never cease to amaze me with their logic. Wonder who chased indigenous people by force to occupate their homeland. They tried to invade Israel twice.

I don't disagree. It's just, this issue sort of goes beyond what we would normally debate. The fact that very reasonable and seemingly honest people are still so insanely ignorant about it makes it more pertinent.
Okay. I don't wanna pretend I have the right answer because I don't know what the right answer is. I just don't see a path that helps Palestinians that we can accomplish that.I think speaking reality about what is happening in Israel now shouldn't even be considered progressive really. It's turd sandwich vs douche bag turned up to 11, the difference is one is calling the shots now and isn't doing anything to stop it when he could. That's going to stick in people's minds more. It's recency bias.
And also....
Yeah... when I said earlier I moved from being staunchly pro-Israel, to a smidge, slightly more pro-Palestinian, it wasn't because of Israel's actions that I'm hesitant to go full Palestine. It's because there are things that I can't agree with from Palestine that I can't just blame on Hamas .Franckie said:And just in case you think this puts me on the side of the Arabs and Palestinians, forget it. "Stationed intentionally" bro whose feeding that information, the IDF who MADE A SHITTY 3D MODEL OF TUNNELS that actual designers came out and mocked it cuz it looked like a man child made it, Destiny clearly learnt the wrong fucking message if he thinks that sending in special forces would solve this nah fuck out of with that bullshit, how are you gonna learn the history and come away with "Yeah, Palestinians shouldn't have done this" so you want Palestinians dead, this is a black and white situation, Israel is the vile cruel real fucking Nazis that Western media and politicians are defending while claiming Hamas are the Nazis. HAMAS is a fucking creation of the actions of Israel, you think that oppressing people for 75+ years that people won't fight back there's been two intifadas, uprisings against the bloody oppressioners like holy shit, I can't believe people legit think that this nuanced when YOU HAVE JEWISH PEOPLE CONDEMNING ISRAEL AND CALLING IT OUT FOR BEING ZIONIST STATE AND NOT REFLECTING JUDAISM, and the fact Israelis beat the shit out of Orthodox Jews in the west Bank for speaking out and calling Israel and Israelis out for it, that shit is the real antisemitism, western media and politicians are labelling Muslims and anyone who supports "animals" in the literal word of Israelis who in a fucking poll said Palestinians are not human and deserve to die.
He didn't go as far as Kasparian did, who said she absolutely won't, but it's here.

And it's what Steven says here at the 3:55 minute onward that I've noticed about a lot of the pro-Palestinian lefties that has me concerned.
Destiny did 5 10 hour long streams of just studying up on the Israel/Palestine history and talked to several people on stream about it, about the only thing that could be done to fix things, and the only thing that leans more toward Palestine at this point is the idea that I still think special forces could surgically remove Hamas without all the indiscriminate killing (although, Hamas is stationed amongst civilians intentionally so they take the majority of the moral condemnation for that IMO).

Idk I think it's spur of the moment but also understandable? He didn't go as far as Kasparian did, who said she absolutely won't, but it's here.
It's not lost on me when talking about this topic that people are not asked to denounce the IDF beforehand. And it's what Steven says here at the 3:55 minute onward that I've noticed about a lot of the pro-Palestinian lefties that has me concerned.
They would sooner trust Hamas over the IDF cuz history has showed even before Hamas was around, Palestinians were being round up thrown into an "open air prison" which is really just a concentration camp at this point, Palestinians were forced to flee their homes, their lives due to zionist parading Jew colonizers. Everything happening is literally due to the actions of Israel to quote my friend "Fuck around and find out", Fuck around with human lives, treat them like animals and livestock. and find out when these oppressed people decide enough is enough and finds back but you got dumb asses like Destiny, Ben Shapiro and many others acting like this started with Oct 7th and Hamas when this has been going on for decades, and now that Israel has realized they lost the information war and propaganda ain't working, they arent even trying to hide that they are breaking International laws, breaking the Geneva Convictions with nations who are cutting ties with Israel, calling for them to stop and what is Israel's response "you're siding with terrorists who want to rid all Jews" and crying on social media like a bunch of babies who are caught red handed.Idk I think it's spur of the moment but also understandable?

I get where you're coming from but in the case of Destiny or Ben Shapiro, this seems like an excuse to Gish gallop. For some there really seems like there's no amount of denouncing of the killing and maiming of non-enemy combatants that is enough. It sort of plays into the "perfect victim" trope too. The kind of things we ask of Palestinians are never asked of others.
Then there's the whole idea of a reactionary emancipatory force. These kinds of situations almost always breed them. I'm just not sure what Palestinians are supposed to do about it. Round them all up and turn them over so the IDF stops using thermobaric munitions on civilian buildings? If you ask the average Palestinian who they should lay there trust in, Hamas or the IDF? What would you expect their choice to be?
I understand it too. I just don't like it being shared among thousands of impressionable barely-able-to-vote youths.xi0 said:Idk I think it's spur of the moment but also understandable?
Yeah I don't see the IDF being denounced much either, that's fair. It's not lost on me when talking about this topic that people are not asked to denounce the IDF beforehand.

Hamas, probably. But I don't know that that trust is warranted. Trust that their actions will lead to a peaceful end for Palestinians? Of course not. Trust that they're trying to pursue a better future for Palestinians? Sure. Trust that they won't use them as human shields? Also a no.Then there's the whole idea of a reactionary emancipatory force. These kinds of situations almost always breed them. I'm just not sure what Palestinians are supposed to do about it. If by indiscriminately you mean "without concern for civilians amongst Hamas", what are they supposed to do to completely route out Hamas? I say this as someone that would prefer they focus exclusively on Hamas. I know it isn't that easy though.M3J said:According to several Israeli hostages, Hamas treated them pretty well to the point that they left on friendly terms. Also, many Israelis say it was the IDF shooting indiscriminately, not caring who they hit, during the massacre, not Hamas. In fact, Israel is probably using Hamas as a scapegoat to justify the genocide, especially when there's no Hamas in West Bank but Israel is still bombing the area. And on top of that, even a pro-Israel source has said that Hamas was created in response to Israel's violence.
I've heard this stated a lot, and it's certainly possible that's the case. But let's assume for a second that it wasn't. Let's say they didn't want to commit a genocide, but wanted to root out Hamas completely: how do they do that without civilian casualties?Israel doesn't want to take out Hamas, they probably want Hamas to exist so they can use them to justify the genocide and not look evil in the West's eyes. It's funny because Israel has committed war crime after war crime but continue to get away with it, thanks to the few immoral leaders in charge who prioritize their own or their countries' self interest over lives.
Because Republicans wouldn't even try to protect women's rights, and they're only just starting with the amount of regressive policies they want to put forth. Not just trying to get rid of abortion, but getting rid of contraception, outlawing puberty blockers for kids, attempting to re-write history with anti CRT stuff, more anti-voter policies to make it harder for minorities to vote, pushing Christian Nationalism down everyone's throats, the list goes on.Also, how would Republicans be any worse than Democrats when Democrats did not protect women's rights, do away with student loans, and are supporting genocide after genocide? While republicans want to ban and expel Palestinians from USA, the things DNC have done haven't helped them regardless. Dems can't keep coasting on "but Trump sux!" when Trump has tried to or has upheld a lot of what he said, vs. Biden.
