Go warriors!

I don't know why, may be it's all the free time for being mostly unemployed, but for some reason I've been an a creative spree lately. And that's why I'm pretty pumped up about the MH art contests too, it's nice to have a subject and goal to work towards.

Lots of cool sets in the years first. Actually, what I've observed the contests that quite a few entries. Seems like I'm not the only on on a creative spree. That's so great, seeing what others come up with is half the fun. Hope it keeps up in the future contests.

It's definitely great to the see the first contest already get a lot of entries like this. Hopefully we can maintain/ increase that going forward.

Ust, you should think about creating your own gallery, if you intend on continuing your creative spree. Updating it may serve as encouragement and motivation to create more pieces.

That might be good idea. And that way I have atleast one place with most of my recent stuff, incase I need a quick portfolio when a job opportunity araises.

After the last year where we got numerous submissions for the contests, we considered the issue of voting and made a few changes in that regard as well as other things. You can check the Info Thread for more details.

Thanks, I wasn't aware it was implemented.

About the next contest, warriors could be nice too.

I changed my submission for the magical girl contest, I hope that's alright.I still went with the same theme though.

Is anyone actually intending to submit something to the warrior contest? I'm almost done with my drawing, but it seems like it'll be a very small contest at this rate...?

also, reincarnation>dystopia any day. theres so many distopian stories lately, it's actually become my least favorite cliche.

It's pretty usual for drawing contests. Drawing is a bit more complicated than say editing an existing pic for Ava/Sigs or taking a photo. I might still participate though.

I've submitted it.

Truth be told, I've been working on it over the past few days, trying to fix a few serious flaws it had (which I'm not going to specify, as to hopefully not bring attention to them right now in case I have a chance to win), but I just couldn't find the right angles and there were a few things I didn't want to erase, and... well, it just got away from me. I eventually realized that it will literally never be finished if I don't accept the flaws and ink it as it is, so that's what happened. At least I'm happy with how the hair came out, and the end of the blade.

Anyway, I hope more people submit entries!

I don't see any major flaw. I may submit a piece too, have been working on it for a while now(it's kinda big in size)...but the major problem I have with it is that we both chose the same theme.

I actually would've preferred a pirate, too! I wanted a female pirate with a bigass hat and flowing hair, and a rapier...

Yeah same. I wanted to draw my favorite pirate of all times, Blackbeard. Well I hope I'll be able to finish it soon, and let's hope that in the future there will be more inspiring themes...
