Didn't he put up 25 in a half against Portland in one of the games in that series? He did go cold but I don't think anyone expects him to be at that level of Jamal Murray, especially considering what Murray did last year in being incredible for the nuggets. MPJ has stepped up and improved across the season with Murray out, and as he gets more accustomed to it I reckon he'll be better for it.man i wish denver had Murray. clearly MPJ can't fill those shoes during the offseason. that been said i won't count them out yet, they're the team that cameback from 3-1 twice in the same run
Pressure’s on Jokic more than ever. He’s the MVP, and that comes with another set of burden to carry his team. I think everyone in the organization fully knows he’s their man, I just don’t think he sees himself as the guy who will carry the team on his back and drag them to the finish line. That role probably falls on Murray. I think he sees himself as more of the guy who pushes his teammates from behind and supporting them.man i wish denver had Murray. clearly MPJ can't fill those shoes during the offseason. that been said i won't count them out yet, they're the team that cameback from 3-1 twice in the same run
well there is different layers of carrying. Their last game, Jokic was the only player with more than 11 pts, you can't carry that lol. Jokic is their best player but he's not a pure scorer, Murray is their scorer. Unless you put prime Kobe there and he put up 81pts i don't see how the Nuggets would've won when nobody else can put more than 11ptsPressure’s on Jokic more than ever. It’s a fine and under-appreciated role, but it’s not something you need to win a championship. Hopefully that came out right.

That was Denver's worst loss of the season and while unfortunate, I don't think they're out yet. Suns look good but they've only been up against opposition that isn't at 100% yet. At this point I'd say Jokic and the Nuggets are far more likely to win a game than the Bucks, if Giannis doesn't bring it tonight then they're cooked and while I do love venison I don't want to see Milwaukee go out like that.
Also props to Donovan Mitchell for continuing to elevate his game when it matters most.
More or less what I was trying to say. But I don’t think I’m too far off the mark either when I say what I said. Jokic just doesn’t have that ever-hungry disposition to push his limits.well there is different layers of carrying. Suns got MPJ running in circle, the dude is still green. Would've been a different game if they had Murray

Portland only have one player lol
it's his 3rd year but you're right. I often forget MPJ is also from the 2018 draft. this might end up the most stacked draft class of all time lmaoWell it's technically his second season as a pro, being inconsistent is a given, let alone with so much weight on you.

Yeah but he was out for almost all (or actually all of it? I don't remember) of his rookie season, that's why I said technically (and probably why it tricked your mind as well).it's his 3rd year but you're right. luka, trae, sga, jjj, ayton, mpj, sexton, duncan robinson, the time lord and the list goes on. And somehow the Kings managed to mess that up with the 2nd pick![]()

They always had a straight path, Danny Bricks wasn't changing any of thatDanny green out for 2-3 weeks. kinda open a straight path to the finals for the Nets.
