Berserk is back on January 27 with a special poster B2 size (one side drawn by Miura and the other by studio ４℃)!

Well I hope with all the movie hype Miura does not stick to his 3 chapters routine, he should do more and promote it as much as he can, though I guess all hardcore fans know of it, still might turn out as a good promotion for those buying the magazine for the movie, it will be weird to promote a movie of a seriis on hiatus.

Yeah, I shouldn't have doubted Young Animal or Miura here. It would make no sense whatsoever to not have Berserk running in the magazine soon. Any potential popularity boost would be stunted by the magazine not having it running in it.

Definitely good news.

Miura not taking breaks is wishful thinking

Looks like only one chapter hasn't been released in tankoubon format, so maybe 8 chapters? Maybe 4, then a break for another 4? Who knows.

no not wishful thinking, I think I would be dreaming lols.
Maybe 3 chapters. So berserk from jan27 to end of feb or once the movie is not in the cinema's anymore. Then Miura will repeat this next time the 2nd movie comes. Hell when the first movie comes out on dvd that will be one chapter released on that date too.

I wonder if he has a bunch of chapters at the ready for when the movie starts, so that he will take less breaks this year. And I also wonder if him taking 3 month breaks every 3 chapters wasn't so that he'll have more time to draw chapters for the duration of the movies. Like he'd send in chapter 326, but he would be on chapter 340 or something.... >_>

There should be at least 8 episodes released this year in order to complete the next volume. It would be nice to see 4 episodes during the spring and another 4 between summer and fall. We'll see.

The Berserk twitter thing just announced the manga is resuming in Young Animal issue 3 going on sale 1/27. Is that news? I haven't heard it before.
It also said there'd be a cover (Of Guts and Griffith) drawn by Miura and a poster and some other stuff about the movie. Seeing as it's the issue coming out before the movie premier.

Woah, this is really cool news, apparently it is a recent interview with Miura and here is what he said on the story and characters, thanks to Aazealh at skullknight:

He was asked about them (the announcer saying we don't know much about them), and he said their story would be shown soon enough. But he added that for him, "soon" can often mean a year. Apart from that, he's currently working on the manga's manuscript, and he said he draws around a page per day.

He commented on how he's interested in stoic characters, for example someone like Casca. He seems to have put everything he likes in her.

He also said he saw the movie of course, he thanked the director very much and said he was impressed (by the first battle scene, the shields and swords, Zodd's appearance among other things). He also jokingly added that since the manga is long running, he's making efforts to live long enough to finish it. At first he expected it to end during his 20s, then his 30s, and now he's even prepared for it to last until his 60s if necessary.
