All of his color spreads from the beginning of Bleach have shown that he's a massive fan of fashion design, his characters were always clothes nicely.

just out of curiosity, have any of you heard any rumors about the continuation of the bleach anime? or about a new anime series covering the 1000 year blood war arc?

I have just finished watching Bleach Anime Episode 310, which is the conclusion of the saga. I was thinking of buying Season 16 to watch the Fullbringer Arc, but I bought the Manga Volume 50 instead. I also ordered volume 49 'The Lost Agent', but that will take a month to deliver as I ordered online. Is it essential that I read volume 49 after I watched Episode 310 or can I jump straight to volume 50.

If they are no major events worth reading in volume 49, I will be open for anyone to break down what happens, because waiting a month seems for ever.

Merged threads to keep the section clean.

I'd suggest you to be patient and read them all, since you won't really get what is going on in Volume 50 if you skip the previous one. A new storyline begins with Volume 49, so, we can't sum things up for you in a way you'd understand, either, I think.

Anyone thinks Kenpachi will fight Vollstandig Gerard? Also, do you guys think Ukitake will participate in some fight or is he done for without fighting as usual?

Ichibei vs Yamamoto. WHo do you guys think wins? Can Ichibei's naming power incapacitate Yamamoto or Yamamoto's fire will burn down his black? They should be equal in other aspects like Kido and shunpo speed.

You can start a thread in our battle forum, El Campo de Batalla de las Almas, it's a more suitable place for discussing such topics.

I am not sure it is fair to say ichigo lacks the character to finish off enemies. Most of the guys you mention there are people against whom ichigo fought to the bitter end and to an extent ichigo only "technically" won. Sure, he didn't kill them but did he even get the chance to? Ichigo didn't seem to be holding back during any of those fights. It is through sheer resilience that they managed to survive that, not because ichigo hesitated to kill them. And it is funny you bring up execution because ichigo straight up killed ginjo. No outside interference or anything, he killed him dead. And if you look back at the aizen fight, ichigo's first attempt against aizen was to behead him from the back (which aizen survived because of a conveniently placed kido) and then during the fight of transcendentals ichigo activated his FGT and straight up attempted to cut aizen in two with mugetsu. Which aizen survived because plot and hyogoku. If anything, I would argue ichigo is way to comfortable killing his enemies. I'd say you should ask shaz domingo but as far as I know ichigo did not leave any evidence of shaz ever existing...
Let me rephrase that, is not a lack of character as if he were "too weak to go for a killing", I think is not in Ichigo to just go and kill someone, you could say he is kinda like Goku in DB, Naruto or almost every shonen MC, they are not bad guys the can kick the enemy's rear but it is not in them to just "finish off" the enemy. After the battle with Aizen Ichigo give the battle some thought. That I believed defined him a little bit as a character, Ichigo is not a bad guy and he is not driven by a strong killing intent. To be honest I would expect Ichigo to behead Yhwach just because of the fact that he was involved in Masaki's death, but will he actually do that?, is not in him I believe. Now Ishida... that's another story

Well, as far as juhabach goes there is a possibility that he is influencing ichigo somehow due to being a quincy. Juhabach opened that possibility when he met ichigo. barring that, I think I have given enough examples of ichigo indeed being more than willing and able to kill people without a shred of hesitation should the situation call to it. Ichigo's early enemies did not survive because ichigo carefully avoided their vitals, they survived because of their own resilience as far as we know. Ikkaku and renji were almost cut in half, byakuya sort of gave up, grimmjow was cut opened Ichigo attempted to behead aizen and straight up killed ginjo. If ichigo is willing to attempt to kill aizen in such a manner and straight up killed ginjo, a human, then why would he, barring any unknowns, hesitate to kill juhabach? Ichigo is not evil but he also clearly does not give a crap, he will kill his enemies.

Mmmm well I do see it a little different when it comes to those battles but is just a matter of how we see it (like the xcution gang, not only Ginjo) as I said, is not like Ichigo can't kill someone, but (imo of course) is not his way of doing things. Indeed Yhwach and Ichigo are not even close to be done, there has to be more to it and the fact that Yhwach tried to put Ichigo on his side must mean that there is either a story to be told or he was simply to powerful to not be considered as a potential ally.

How is this a matter of how we see it? Ichigo is definitely not someone who enjoys killing but he has never hesitated to actually try (which in hindsight is actually very disturbing). Ichigo as a matter of fact tried to kill everyone he fought against during the SS arc. There was never any indication that he was holding back or used strikes which were not deathblows. Ichigo as a matter of fact tried to kill aizen. As far as execution goes ichigo only fought tsukishima and ginjo IIRC and as far as we saw he attempted to kill tsukishima as instantly as possible and succeeded in killing ginjo. This isn't a subjective matter, ichigo has actively tried his very best to end the lives of his enemies and in a couple cases succeeded.

Well we are going way off-topic but to finish. I will have to re-read/watch the whole thing because obviously I'm getting a different impression of the events involving Ichigo (I kinda see him as being "soft-hearted")

I was thinking Ichibei's case was the only one when his Bankai failed to exercise its powers. Before this, no bankai has ever failed in its special ability. For instance, Kyoraku's sword enforced its rules in its neighborhood, Ukitake's is always able to absorb enemy power e.t.c Has there been any other case where a sword has failed to exercise its ability in a specific instance?
