Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Sorry, I didn't understand what you said. I'm sure that bump was to signalize that he is not going to lose to Midoriya.
For all purposes, it is an individual competiton, there is no quota for each class, so what Todoroki is doing has nothing wrong.
No, that's not it, I know about it being the individual competition but a true hero wouldn't do what Todoroki is doing.

Imo, this doesn't differ from the entrance exam and let's not forget the outcome.

Okay, you can win this easily if you'd do it the Todoroki way but you're still class 1-A. How did they win against the villains? They were fighting as a team, helping out each other with their quirks.

This competition will show yet again, who is a true hero and who's just a hero. And Bakugou, I think that he'll help Midoriya if necessary. Something has changed him!

Do you mean that there is a hidden score like in the entrance exam and win the competition is not everything? It's a possibility, but it's a sports festival that includes people who are not heroes, they cannot expect heroic acts from everybody all the time. I think that this competition is meant to evaluate physical abilities and the quirks, principally.

Well, Obstacle Race is a race between 11 classes. Isn't it kind of odd that the only rule is that you remain within the course? I think that you can not merely reduce this whole sports festival as being an individual competition. It's too imortant for that imo.

The department of Heroics should win this sports fastival because they ought to. It's a festival made for them. Let's see what the outcome will be in senior stage (later on), but I would not be surprised that in their stage a whole class of the department of Heroics eliminates the rest.

Why is it strange?
Of course, I'm not saying it, I'm saying that this race, especifically, is individual. There are individual and collective sports and the Sports Festival will cover both I believe. How they are going to separete everybody in groups is an interesting thing to think, they will use the results of this race and some more other things? :hmm

It is made for them, but at least the school has to pretend that it is for all students. :p
You should remember that everybody there has quirks and one or two chapters ago they mentioned that with the Sport Festival results in hand, people could be promoted to the Heroes Class or demoted from there. Like I said earlier in this thread, there can be people in the other classes who has good quirks and had a bad luck in the entrance exam and others the contrary (Minoru. XD). So, we cannot expect that the heroes class will have a easy time all the time.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Great chapter again. What Bakugou did is very impressive, he is not overconfident and yet can still say things like that, if he is not first... Wonder what is Uraraka's secret move.

I really don't see what Todoroki (:hip) wrong , they are not supposed to go together, they must all show why they are qualified to be heroes, it's an individual competition, they all trained for 2 weeks. He said his dad is watching, the names are different but with that small panel with Present MC and Aizawa, maybe it's him his father?(Shouta and Shouto).

And what's the deal with Midnight's breasts? :heh, is it just censorship?

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Bakugou has a great power and all, but not for this kind of competition, he had a bad luck this time. How he can stop someone with his power without exploding this person? :lmao
He will have to be criative or take advantage of the fact that he is power is very good to know down that robots and make them hurdle for the ones, something like what Todoroki is doing.

As for Uraraka, I think her secret move is simple: she will decrease the gravity of "everybody" and let them without floor to step. However, it is not everybody, she cannot use her power in excess, at least not that early, so she will have to wait until the end or for a opportune moment.

I don't say Todoroki is doing something wrong, but unlike others I really can't stand that cock of the walk-behaviour. Bakugou is gaining more respect recently.

And, I just say, this sports festival will be more difficult than people think. Working as a team will get you way further.

I thought they were all obliged to wear the same uniforms... That girl must have a Quirk like Momo or something, unless gadgets are allowed.
Odd indeed, maybe she's another obstacle who's part of those machines. Maybe she 's the hero technician? Well, I can not tell

Maybe the gadgets are used to implement her quirk, like the gadget that the navel laser kid uses.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Guys, about shirakgaki, I was thinking about what all might said. When you look at it:

http://bato.to/read/_/290022/boku-no-hero-academia_ch18_by_fallen-angels/6
http://bato.to/read/_/290022/boku-no-hero-academia_ch18_by_fallen-angels/7
http://bato.to/read/_/290022/boku-no-hero-academia_ch18_by_fallen-angels/8

but then:

http://bato.to/read/_/291575/boku-no-hero-academia_ch21_by_fallen-angels/7
http://bato.to/read/_/291575/boku-no-hero-academia_ch21_by_fallen-angels/8

Is it not kind of odd, when you look at it:

It's as if all those hands are not part of him. Could they not be a part of his sensei/father? Those hands look to me like some containment of that guy's true powers. Or something he used to communicate with. The hands were talking?

raw is out, Midoriya is showing yet again what differs him from the rest :D Lol at Todoroki and Bakugou

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

I don't get it...Was he waiting for Bakugou and Todoroki to be together for his plan? Looks like the other classes won't shine in this trial. And it seems the dude fan of manly things and the ho blooded guy from the other class have the same Quirk.

By that guy do you mean Shigaraki? Or father? Shigaraki's Quirk is to decompose what he touches, if the hands were talking I don't see why he would use a PC to talk with him, from what we know Father can "load" powers, maybe he can just attach body parts to someone.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Chapter 25 comments.

The critiques first. :p
It can be incoherent coming from me, but I think that the chapter was too fast and chaotic. The problem was not the speed, it was that he tried to show many things in a short span of time (and pages). That way, the chapter was not as exciting as it could have been, at least not for me. He should have focused in what was more important and let the rest to a near future.
Another thing that came out of the blue was the rule that the Support Department can use equipements, the author should have specified it in the last chapter, the way it was said appears to be a force way to show that Support Department is awesome as well.

In the end, the message given in this chapter was that the other classes have good people, but the hero department is in another level. That said, let's go to the next chapter, Midoriya used his intelligence to reach the leaders and he even used his quirk yet. Looking forward to see what will happen and what Uraraka will do because her "secret techinique" is still in the air.

So Todoroki's father is the 2nd strongest hero, not Aizawa.

Good chapter but Midoriya's reaching him and Bakugou seems surreal to me, he was just running without using his Quirk, caught up and thought about using the mines and the shield to protect himself after seeing how Bakugou did it, I hope there'll be a better explication.

Well, everybody was running and it seems that Midoriya was one of the last to reach the mine field, there were other people already there besides Todoroki and Bakugou.

It's awesome. Midoriya is growing on me, you can clearly feel, see, understand, etc why all might has chosens him to be his successor.

He's so cool and calm during this event, whereas Todoroki and Bakugou (latter one lesser) are so fucked up. Did you see Momo? She's another great hero imo.

I bet there's a big rivality between Todoroki's father and All Might.

I agree about how it feels a bit weird how convieniently Midoriya could reach the leading two top students with simple running while carrying a shield that clearly must weight a lot by the looks of it. Sure he had his training and all that but even big athleths would have problems to carry such a shield through-out a race. My biggest concern is that bomb though. Like seriously, that explosion was FAR too big to be in a race where nobody is supposed to get hurt or killed. Imagine if Midoriya had STEPPED on that bomb with his feet! Jesus...
Makes me wonder if that was actually a real mine, planted/exchanged by the Villians who wants to stop this sport festival by turning it into a tragedy. If that is the case, then that would explain why there was sucha huge explosion mine in a race while all the other mines have pretty small explosions comapred to Midoriya's one. Also that might mean that the villians have future plans to sabotage the sport festival which would make it even more exciting/dangerous.

I do not believe though that a single student of the 20 introduced ones will have to leave Class A after that festival. If even Aizawa who failed an entire class last year let all of them pass, I cannot see how a sport festival would throw Mineta or others out of their class and have them replaced by other students from Class B or the regular classes. Class A might get one or two new students, but I also doubt that that one gonna happen either. So the villian threat would be a welcome change since I do not feel the tiniest bit of threat from the "uhhhh, you might have to exchange classes if you are too weak/your results bad, uuuuhhh, be veeery afraaaaaaid~". XD
