Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

I thought the difference was the heroics department thing. Class A is in the heroics department where everyone wants to be at and class b is at the regular classes.

Class B is in the heroics department too.

Ahh, you are correct. I guess the difference is only the villain fight events. Class A was the one that has experienced real fights against actual villains. They got a lot of hype and reputation from that...

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

The RAWs for chapter 32 are out on Mangabird:

It seems like Ojiro (tail-guy) and the fat kid from class B forfeited even before the match started, because they were mindcontrolled by the general ed kid and didn't want to continue this way, so 2 other people from class B have the chance to fight, a girl that was on the recent colour pages and Tetsu x4. Also it looks like the first fights will be Bakugou vs Uraraka and Iida vs gadget girl. There are also some pages about the other games, the chearleading girls of class A and a talk between All Might and Deku. At the end Deku is the first to fight against the mindcontroll kid and before he can attack he is already beeing controlled.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

I worked out what all the names on the brackets are:

Reading from LEFT to RIGHT we have Midoriya vs Shinsou, Todoroki vs Sero, Shiozaki Ibara vs Kaminari, Iida vs Hatsume, Ashido vs Aoyama, Tokoyami vs Yaoyorozu, Tetsutetsu vs Kirishima, and Uraraka vs Bakugou.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

Ojiro!!! <3
That guy went up to my 2nd most loved character in a heartbeat with his honorable absence of the tournament! <3
Hope he get his chance in the future to show his awesome martial arts and his strong tail! :D

I won't lie to you guys, this is the final I wanna see in this tournament:

Shinsou vs Bakugou!!!

Yeah, I know, I know. That means both our MC AND the guy who's even more fit to be a MC will both lose against a guy from a REGULAR class who's only power is mind control if you answer to him.
But think of it how cool that would be!
Shinsou's quirk is not OP as it leaves YOU to chose whenever or not you fall under his spell by talking or not talking to him. So ofc if you want to win you wanna keep your mouth shut, but obviously Shinsou will do anything to get you to say something like he did with Deku where he insulted the honorable Ojiro, causing Deku to shout in rage and immediately fall under his spell.

I do not see a way for Deku to win this as seen with Ojiro and co that you are COMPLETELY under Shinsou's spell and cannot wake up from it, even under pain, till Shinsou releases you. I think Shinsou will not make Deku simply say "I give up" or make him leave the battleground. No. He will humilate him before the entire audience and his class. He will use him as a chair to sit on. Will make him do and say silly things and he might tell him to beat himself up. If he goes as far to order Deku to hit himself with all his power, Deku's life could be in danger. So the rocksensei will jump in, end the fight because it is going to far and make Shinsou the winner. Maybe even AM will jump in to stop Deku from killing himself. I mean, I dunno how far Shinsou's midncontrol goes, maybe it stops if your life (which could be the reason the mindcontrol becomes undone and Deku wins by hitting Shinsou) would be in danger but we'll see.

So I think Deku will lose this battle and Shinsou will then meet Todoroki who you'd think is so cool there's no way he will let himself say a word to Shinsou. But Shinsou might know about Todoroki's family problems, especially his fathers and might use that to make Todoroki rage and get him under his control as well. And he continues to do so till the final where Bakugou shows that he had grown and, despite being the one with the GREATEST TEMPER of those three, he will not utter a single word no matter what insults Shinsou throws in his face till he wins and has become Number 1 of the first years with Shinsou, a regular class guy being 2nd place before all the other hero students!

That would be my dream final of this tournament!!!

But ofc it won't happen because Deku is the MC and MCs do not lose in the first round plus if Deku and Todoroki wins they will meet each other in the next round which is basically Naruto vs Sasuke fighting each other in a tournament so yeah, Shinsou already lost because he is no MC. Sucks, because that final would have been AWESOME and maybe Hirokoshi surprises me by letting Deku and Todoroki lose against Shinsou, but I doubt the Editor will let that happen and the tournament will go its regular Shounen cliche style............. ;_;

Uraraka VS Bakugou(:o), Momo VS Tokoyami and Deku VS Shinshou are the fights I want to see the most.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

I was also wondering how mineta dealt with the robots.. that actually mkaes a lot of sense. I would think that mineta's abilities are actually ideal for crime fighting. As dumb as it looks he has a non lethal way to restrain and impede the movement of enemies. Its not flashy but it is completely ideal. Looking at what mineta can do vs, say, all for one.... Mineta needs to throw enough of his sticky substance and his enemy will be trapped. Of course, sufficiently powerful people can probably deal with that but it won't always be the case. In turn, midoriya will probably have to feed his enemy is kneecaps or otherwise hurt him to get the job done (although depending on his control perhaps not as much as quirks like fire and ice or bakugo's who'd in turn just burn or freeze said kneecaps.
Yeah, I agree. Mineta's starting to grow on me as well. I think Horikoshi's doing a great job of balancing out the characters in class A. Aside from the top 3 powerhouses, (Deku, Kacchan, Todoroki) you have a lot of kids who specialize in different areas of combat such as ShadowHawk and Momo (jack-of-all-trades), Kirishima (defense), hit-and-run specialists like Iida and Hagakure and finally trap specialists such as Mineta and Sero (Tape).

Aside from that, I think Mineta has the most potential for character development as of now. I think he will finally realize somewhere down the line that he is a lot better than he thinks he is. Case in point, his idea of a turtle formation with Shouji really does show he's quite capable of thinking outside the box, which is the one thing that his powers need to be properly utilized with. He might take a few pages from Deku's book one day.

I would not really say Deku is a powerhouse, not yet at least, he is just in the spotlight and thinks well in dangerous situation. In a fight I don't see him at Todoroki or Bakugou's level, Momo is probably stronger than him too.

Re: Boku no Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kouhei

In terms of physical strength Deku is thanks to One for All the strongest, but because he isn't able to controll it yet he is weaker than Todoroki and Bakugou. If he could use One for All with at least 2 fingers without breaking them he would already be stronger than both of them. And with his hero otaku knowledge he can come up with stragies against opponents which is another advantage for him. I think in their second school year Deku will be recognized as the strongest from the class and get the attention from the media and the villains.

I don't think so. Even with his training his physical abilities are not quite good, he lacks speed and mobility, he might be able to rival them if he could control better his Super Speed but that's not the case, despite his intelligence and otaku knowledge he was outsmarted by Todoroki's team in the last game. All the students are not able to perfectly control their Quirks anyway, that's why they are studying, some evolve later.

Once Deku can controll One for all his speed and mobility will rise tremendously and be as fast as All Might who is so fast that he can save civillians through the whole city while Deku and the rest of class A are on their way to UA. Also that Todoroki outsmarted Deku isn't true: Deku was thanks to his 10 million points at a disadvantage because almost no one wanted to team up with the most hunted player in the 2nd game. Deku's dream team would be with Iida and Uraraka but because Iida wanted to stop beeing in Deku's shadow he didn't team up with him. Iida with his never before shown attack was the key rolle in the whole match between Deku and Todoroki, without him Todoroki also wouldn't be the winner.
Right now everyone at UA thinks that Todoroki is the best thanks to the achievments of his father and that the son will be as good if not even better than the father. If everyone would know that Deku is the secret student and successor of All Might everyone would anknowledge his strength which will stand above everyone else in the next few years. So in the end right know Todoroki has the spotlight, but Deku will take that position away from him and the only question here is how will Todoroki react to that, will he work together with Deku or will he become like his father who despises the number one?

Once Izuku learns to control one for all, he still won't have battle since and instinct like Bakugou and Shouto have

What battle instinct? Bakugou and Todoroki are the same like Deku if it comes to battle knowledge, they don't have any. At the time when Bakugou did hold down Dark Mist he made a mistake that could have cost his life, he ignored the 2 other villains. Todoroki also only partly freezed Nomuo, at such a moment it would have been the best decision to completly freeze and immobilize an enemy who wants to kill the number one hero All Might. And at last Deku jumped in to save All Might without thinking about the outcome and any plan, just jumping in to unleash one attack with all his might. You can clearly see that no one of them has a battle instinct like a pro hero.

Chapter 32 is already out and translated by a different group than Fallen Angels --> http://bato.to/comic/_/comics/boku-no-hero-academia-r12714.

Bakugou is a genius, that's frequently said, his instincts and reaction speed are impressive, he can make good strategies too, his problem is his jerkass attitude and hot blooded temper. I can't really say that Todoroki is the same as he is only getting more screentime now but it's clear that he trained a lot and his Quirk is very versatile. He is an ace-type character as well.

I ankowledge Bakugous reaction speed when he pinned down that invisible guy or defeated all the other villains before, but good strategies? I think to attack head on an enemy you don't know anything about and ignoring 2 other enemies isn't a good strategy. If it wouldn't be for All Might Bakugou would have died at that moment. I thought after the attack of the villains he became a bit calmer, but how easily he got angry because of that class B copy kid and tried another one of his reckless actions shows that he is still the same, rushing into the action without any plan and always fixated on one of many enemies.

Man; I was already pissed at how the moderator introduced the other class expect Class A but then the way he introduced Shinsou in the first tournament match? Jaysus, all that counts in this world is your quirk and if you are a superhero or not. If not then you are nothing but a "We're sooooorry~". -___-
