Oh boi.

Im kinda salty that the Hell Devil was such a pushover.
I´d argue that he should be on the same tier as Darkness Devil, because while Darkness is a primal fear we have, we tend to lose it after we grow up
The fear of hell, however, has motivated hundreds of religious wars, and is sometihng that millions of people fear troughout all their lifes.

I´d hope that the true identity of the chainsaw devil gets explained.

There are some mysteries that are not explained even at the ending of the series, I hope the true identity of Pochia and why Makima does what he does are not like that.

There are some mysteries that are not explained even at the ending of the series, I hope the true identity of Pochia and why Makima does what he does are not like that.

Well, first off we have no idea if Hell is actually out of the fight, this was a cliffhanger for a reason. Second, Hell is still a human creation and thus a lower-tier of fear imo. Third, "Darkness" represents a WHOLE lot more than just the fear of the literal dark. It also represents the unknown, the vastness of space, etc. as seen with the bisected astronaut corpses it used as a gory sidewalk.

And I'd even argue fourth: "Chainsaw" is still a mystery, and may not actually be "the Chainsaw devil" considering all the intrigue around why everyone seems to want that devil specifically. The Russians, Americans, and Chinese have all desperately tried to drag Chainsaw away from Japan for some reason, and the sound of the chainsaw revving being the last thing every devil hears during their death... There's a lot of mystery going on with just how powerful Denji can be.

Brehs, no wonder everyone is afraid of the Chainsaw devil. That was too OP. It reminded of the Katana devil as well.

Seems Makima is safe since Denji dealt with the Hell devil. I will be interested to see how the story will go on from now on

How did Kishibe mobilize everyone so quick and know Makima was no longer on the same side? :toc

The hell demon looked like a horse-xenomorph! I guess Denji is under Makima's control atm since he seems to be in a daze. Chainsaw Man with 4 chainsaw arms wow!

Kishibe is just nice like that and he gonna make Makima bleed. Ok but for real, he was already suspicious of her going back to his convo with Quanxi and then we had the gun devil thing just now, which should've had some implications between the US and Japan, and Makima's identity possibly being leaked.

In my opinion, I think the contract is weak (only like 6 people sacrificing themselves). None of this sacrifices are probably the contractors with the Hell Devil, or not enough or strong for him, therefore he manifested as a weak version.

The gun devil was offered all US citizen's lifespan, that's how he created such a massacre. And I believe like Gun < Hell as a fear.

I really want to understand why Denji as a now 4-armed CSM can completely destroy the Hell Devil like this.
Is it really related to fear? So, could the fear coming from animals account into that?

I don't know, I'm just throwing some ideas around.

It has been implied many times that the Chainsaw devil is fearsome and ridiculously strong. Remember how Beam said that Chainsaw was super fast during the battle against Bomb, how Beam was praying for Denji "to revive and grant their wish" against the Darkness devil etc

Add in the prophecy of the Future devil which was clearly about Denji, then it makes sense to believe that the most fearsome devil is the Chainsaw devil. Now what I would like to know is why he is the most fearsome. We need more background about Pochita at this stage.

Yes, there is this prophecy, but the point of how/why it refers to the Chainsaw remains.
Is it entirely due to what's happening in the story now or was he already that powerful/feared, and got even stronger after its deeds in the story?

He was always strong imo. It's just that Denji never fully utilized its power. I don't think nations wanted to kidnapp Denji because he is obedient, clearly the Chainsaw devil is strong. Remember Beam's words on how the Chainsaw devil was fast and used his chains to move. This only means that the Chainsaw devil was alive at a certain point and was strong with a fearsome reputation.

Perhaps the Chainsaw devil was defeated and became what is known as Pochita before Denji finding him

Seems I picked this up at just the right time. I heard the manga's pretty crazy, but I wasn't prepared for so much insanity...
That being said, I really like it. The story is almost completely unpredictable, and even when you think it can't top itself anymore, it gets even more insane. Lots of goodness ~~and despair~~ in there.

Actually was a quite the Makima fan, but after the latest developments, I'm just... damn :feelsbadman

So its mainly Makima discussing with Kishibe , take it with a grain of salt as usual , we learn that she contracted with the Prime MInister, that she can cause huge disaster with her powers. she explains a lot f stuff, like demons eaten by chainsawman have their name erased forever, their existence disappears from past , present and people memories, thats one of the reasons why CSM is so feared. she said she wants to use Csm to create a better world. At the end of the chap Csm is returning from the door in the sky, covered with blood.
