It would explain why it's not possible to navigate after Lodestar Island, the sea is an empty void
OR has countless sinkholes like Einis Lobby you could fall into! Creating incredible navigational hazards! Zeh...hahahahahah! You'd need luck and Fate to get through! (Or Nami).
And if
Laugh Tale Atlantis is close to Lodestar, that would explain why all the holes are near there, as that would be the location to fire once gaining control of the weapon, your enemy's island. The ancient kingdom might have been Tottland style too. Who says it was only one island kingdom back then? But several in a vicinity? That would mean multiple shots to erase it from history! Zehahah! That could be why Imu flooded everything. It was an unintentional byproduct.
The Road Poneglyphs would then make COMPLETE sense for their name. Instead of being an X marks the spot chart on a regular ocean, or even Grand Line, where two or more lines could get the job done for locating the site of One Piece, you would HAVE to have all four to navigate the violent region surrounded by holes.
Also, on the topic of the sea level rising, it would now make TOTAL sense why Reverse Mountain exists where it does. If water is forced upwards by some kind of Levity effect, an opposition to gravity... then the water currents of the Four Blues flowing upwards at the Red Line just behind the end of the Grand Line and the mass firing of Uranos would actually make total sense and would give us an explanation more fitting than the one we got. Maybe. I actually liked the idea of reverse mountain being water currents converging, but while simpler, this explanation fits better. Also, Lodestone is an old word for magnets. Gravity is, despite popular scientific dogmatism, a "theory". IT is actually a kind of stabilized attraction that likely has to do with dieelectric manipulations. It would make take total sense for Lodestar to thematically be the last official island before Raftel.
Also, the log poses work because of bizarre magnetic forces on all the islands. I think the dieelectric theory of gravitational attraction, which is another suppressed / dismissed idea that One Piece is sharing, is being used for the effects of water raising. It has been doing stuff to the soil of the earth... and that also explains sky islands, which come from modified earth particles being blasted up by volcanos.
Here's a theory, the whole planet is actually terraforming project. Lots of people have mentioned this since the early days of One Piece. Maybe Imu is not actually of human origin but IS an alien or something similar. Or maybe its a tragedy and Imu is actually the original dweller of the planet and is basically using its own invaders' weapons against it.
Right now, though, I'm mostly suspecting this whole thing is a ridiculous slapstick comedy mistake. It is called "Laugh Tail", they say. But I can't imagine a scenario that will be comical enough. Maybe it really is just simply Joyboy being Luffy and accidentally hitting the switch that floods the earth, and everybody used that as an excuse and went into apocalyptic war mode. I don't know. It just feels wrong to make the final island a joke. But Japanese readers apparently always knew this. . . so... still no crazy prediction on it. That is bad. You don't make the punchline for jokes the plotline for suspension and mystery. It... has never been done in fiction. Has it? If Oda pulls it off, then he'd be making literary history? As expected of my creator!
