そこにマナと相棒である犬のアレンが現れるんですね。
最初にアレンと関わりを持つのは犬のアレン。
孤独だったアレンに初めて心を寄せられる存在ができるが、そんな犬のアレンも死んでしまう。

it was Allen's nickname in the circus.
Because of his left arm he wasn't even accepted by the other members of the circus, he was lonely and shaking.
Then Mana and his dog make their appearence.
Allen was first approached by the Allen the dog.
Then Allen the dog, the one who first managed to get close to the lonely Allen, died.

・クロス元帥との出会い
犬のアレンが死に、マナと２人で街へサーカスの宣伝をしに行く。
そこでアレンはクロス元帥と出会うんですが、そのクロス元帥は「マナにあまり近づくなよ」と。

-meeting with General (or Marshal?) Cross
After the death of the dog, Allen and Mana go to the city to advertise the circus.
There Allen meets General Cross, who tells him "Don't get too close to Mana"

アレンがマナを殴ってる時にサーカスのステージに伯爵登場。
そこに更にクロス元帥登場！
この頃のクロス元帥はアレンに厳しすぎます

The Earl first appears n the circus stage when Allen hits Mana.

...this in itself proves that (probably) very soon, Hoshino is going to jump a plot twist so big and depressing, that even i will cry.

DAMN! Mana is screwed up! But if this is how Hoshino is going to make Allen's and Mana's past, then I was right back then when that chapter came out, saying the dog's name was Allen

right. so.
all i want for christmas is Last Fragment Translated. and allen
i also want Edited Mangas of any and all pics xD

I can't see mana being Akuma, but a noah, yes. The whole 'glass shards' part confuses me, so i'll wait for a translation, but could it be that it is referring to Allen innocence? Cuz in chapter 1, the head police man thought that the innocence cross was glass stuck in allen's arm.

Did anyone else relate how current Neah looks 17-ish (at least as old as allen) and Mana says he is 17 too? Maybe time stopped for him? Maybe he's not actually crazy, but absent minded. Like..... he is a 17 year old in a 30-something body. it might take him a while to act like an adult that he looks like. so, he's not crazy....just doesn't 'act his age?'
that or he has some personality disorder or something, that leaves him with blanks spaces of time =(

Cross just says "remember it was all YOUR fault" and tells him to stay the bloody hell away from Mana.

Cross seems to be protecting Mana, rather than warning Allen that Mana is a bad influence. could Mana's uh...mental screwedity (now a word) be 14th's fault?? I don't get it. on one hand it seems as if Cross knows that allen is the 14th, and should be waiting for his return, on the other he seems to hate allen for ...like.... existing. But, maybe he's referring to the innocence? that maybe and exorcists is responsible for Mana's break down?

Mana is honestly one of my favorite characters now. This rabbit whole is deep. like, alice would've fallen for years, if DGM's plot what a rabbit whole =)

The novels should be considered canon since Hoshino collaborated with the author and they are official Shueisha products. ^^

I doubt the chapter will be translated by Christmas. The translation will probably be out next year. If a translation does appear, it will be probably be a quick one and there might be some errors.

Rofha's story is so light-hearted and comedic. It's interesting to see HQ full of activities.

Allen and Mana's story is so bittersweet and sad. Allen really had a crappy childhood; those circus members were so cruel to him by rejecting him like that.

The thing that intrigued me the most was the scene where the earl was at the circus. Did he mess up Mana's memories more by getting rid of anything relating to the 14th? If so, to what purpose? I also wonder why the name, "Allen", is important.

I like how Allen decided to help Mana try to remember his brother and take on the dog's name. It showed how kind-hearted he is.

and this one makes me really believe that the Earl and Mana definitely having something in common, whether they are twins or that they are the same people. He really does look like the Earl (a few pages after that too)

And poor poor Allen! This is why I said I feel bad for all of the main characters cause they have all had something bad happen to them in their pasts. Allen's seems to be the worst to me though, Lenalee's and Kanda's a close second. And I know Lavi's is going to be pretty bad too.

The Russian word for 'Red' is 'krasni'y' written like: красный.
I would be interested where you got that 'fact' though ^.^''
