Info D.Gray-man Reverse Novels Info & Discussion

[Jaymie]

A couple of the Anime Fillers were directly adapted from the novels.

And another interesting tidbit - the Anime began a couple of months after Reverse was first published. So Reverse being restarted might be the first stepping stone towards the Anime being resumed...

[candy]

anybody know if you can by the reverse novels in english???and if you can where??

[ketorin]

@candy - I don't think they are out here. which is sad. I really want to read them. I looked everywhere.

Someone should really translate them. ^_^

I found translation for the first two chapters!
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100113001922AAEkLIw
or
http://www.dgrayman.it/?page_id=65 (Mango-chan says not to go there unless you have a good anti-virus)

(I knew I had seen them somewhere)
now to just get the rest translated.

(don't know if anyone had put this up previously)

[Mango-chan]

Here's the last chapter of Vol. 1 http://community.livejournal.com/dgrayman/193559.html

I don't recommend paying dgrayman.it a visit without a good anti-virus, Avast's real-time shield keeps detecting something shady there. =/
The files posted on Y!Answers are clean, though.

@riki, could you post the link for Kanda's 2ch board?

I read the novel again and it was said that Mana's eye color changed later,
for now it hasn't been shown

but when Allen broke Mana's head with his Innocence
out of Mana's head (from the wound?) it said that "Fragments of light and blood danced together"

Yuu-tan appeared in Lou Fa's story!
for a fan Yuu-tan's part was pretty exciting...
Yuu-tan's hooked on soba(*´Д`)
Tied Yuu-tan(*´Д`)
Yuu-tan kissed by the Old man (Zhu?!)(*´Д`)

[TitaniumChloride]

Found a pic of the back cover of the third novel:

Spoiler: Guess who's on it?

I can't believe it's Cross. Wonder what Krory is doing there too~

[harmaa]

Oh my god, was Cross a priest???

[Mango-chan]

Oh my god, was Cross a priest???

He does look much more priestly than usual! He's not brandishing his gun, grinning like a mofo, holding a glass of wine, smoking a cigarette or abusing Allen. I feel like I've caught a glimpse of the Twilight Zone where Cross is a serious and respectable man.

[deleted]

Oh my god, was Cross a priest???

No. If I remember correctly it was said that he was a scientist just like Komui. I guess Hoshino-sensei is just messing a little with us I wonder what Krory and Lou-Fa do there (although I don't mind).

[ying_su]

Well, we're in XIXth. At that time we had some scientits in the church... (real life i mean)

[ANGELiki]

Will someone post the link for the translation for the third novel when it gets translated, please...? I've searched and searched, and it seems it isn't on line yet... I wonder when it's going to be read...?

[riki]

^It's going to take awhile since the novel just got out and not to mention, there will be a lot text to translate. A summary is more likely to appear sooner than the actual translation of the text. ^^

[Jaymie]

Haha, I doubt a translation will pop up until next summer at best. I hope somebody posts pictures of the inserts soon though. Hoshino always draws amazing inserts, and the art style of the back cover actually looks like the old D.Gray-man!

Why is Krory on there? Does that mean that he has his own story as well?

[riki]

Maybe Krory was mentioned in Rohfa's chapter. That is my guess anyway.

[MSofAofCOCA]

actually, cross being an ex-priest makes sense.....that's why he went in to all the gambling/adultary and stuff xD

but, that purple scarf with the crosses... i think that is what some head priests wear (or at least, that's what i got from my TV >.<''')

as a priest turned exorcist, he might've seen that the God he has served isn't idk....as honest as he thought? as perfect? so he began denying his faith and stuff =/ like, even as an exorcist, he felt abandoned by god because of the whole war....idk, hard to explain xD

And, anyone know if there are pics in/from Reverse 1???

[riki]

Do you mean the ones that sparivero-92 posted? Yes, those pictures (the ones with Allen, Kanda, and Bak) appear in the first Reverse novel. The rest are in the second novel.

[Niko_kun]

Cross looks awesome. I like him in the new art style!
I can't wait for spoilers >.<'

[andrewsungchehau]

OMG...it's CROSS!! with TIMCANPY on his shoulder!!xD Miss Tim on Cross shoulder.xD
Krory and Lou Fa are great as well.
