So i was wondering what is a case for best and worse use of a devil-fruit power.

Of course Luffy would have to be an example of making the most out of a fairly lame devil fruit, and aslo Law did a lot with his ope ope no mi. Most people wouldn't be able to use that as an attack power, but he can. Also Diamante would have to be among those who did the most from their power. If i got it, I would never think of using it as a fighting power.

I nominate Caribou also Buggy and Foxy for worse use.

Buggy who could embroil his body in haki, would be able to attack you from multiple sides, i bet if he were good enough, he would be able to split in microscopic particles, which would render him unbeatable as he could penetrate anyones body without them even being able to defend against him.

Caribou is a useless Logia user, nuff said.

And Foxy can slow down time around his opponent, if he were stronger and faster, he would be hard to beat. Imagine Zoro with that power. Before his slash, he would slow down his strongest opponents, who then wouldn't be able to defend against his slash.

Doflamingo's usage of strings is ridiculously overpowered because of the wide range of abilities DD developed.

I still don't understand why his strings are so unbreakable. Makes no sense really.

Donflamingo with fruit with a billion uses. He is what every fruit user should for when mastering their fruit.

Crocodile is in the same vein. Trained until he could activate his fruit by reflex. That's dedication right there. I can't wait to see what he's come up with after the time skip.

Worst:

There are several, but Kaku was literally a person who couldn't use his fruit properly.

Miss sunshine with her weight modifier. Imagine a physically powerfull person being able to become very light to enhance speed and then become very heavy in the moment of impact(preferably using haki)
Doflamingo's usage of strings is ridiculously overpowered because of the wide range of abilities DD developed.

Actually, Mr. 5's power is turn parts of his body into explosives like his hair, breath, mucus while Gladius' can make anything inorganic into explosives when he touch it. So technically, Gladius' DF is more useful and has a wider variety compared to Mr. 5.

Best: DD(versatility), Croc(reflexive intangibility and how did he think of that drying technique), Kuma(who'd have thought that paw pads could do things from healing to high speed movement)

I have to disagree about Kaku though. He only had his fruit for a few hours and yet he used his Zoan DF in very unorthodox ways. Remember he had that spring head thrust thing, and the box thing where he shot rankyaku. Zoan usually have limited variations in their moves except for when they have rumble balls or are mythical.

Even smokers white fang was more creative... not to mention Enel, Aokiji, Kizaru, Crocodile. The creativest thing he did with his fruit was the fuel for his Board.

The firegun didnt do jackshit. He had a crossfiretechnique too but it was still the same. And the Sunattack was just a plain fireball, nothing more. Just take Akainu as counterpart, he had magmadogs, a magmarain and his magmafist did expand. All Ace was capable of is: "i make fire and shoot it". Even if he has 10 forms of it, its still the same. :/ I bet we will see something from Sabo that will be much more creative.

I think the best way to check is if they use it only in its literal sense or extend the ability to do a lot more, in addition to combat. For instance, Buggys DF protects him from cuts, but he can also make himself a vehicle or attack from behind.... albeit someone can would do much more...


If i had to name 3..
Paramythia

Good:
Robin
She uses her ability extensively in battle along with an aid, or to act completely as something else. Uses it to build a bridge, wings, nets, make clones.... spy on people... etc..

Doflamingo:
The best Paramythia user till date... extends his ability completely. Bird cage, sky walk, parasite, atheletes leg all are pretty cool nad multi-uses.

Kuma:
Again, uses his paw-paw to do more than repel an attack, can use it to remove pain, create a giant exploding shockwave etc...


Worst:
Kinemon:
Has used his ability for comic affect only so far. Can do so much more with it, like strap down an enemy, act as shields etc...

Mr. 5:
Wasted his abilities, can do so much more....

Rocinante:
Dont blame him as much as the fruit itself, has managed to only mask out sounds within a range...

Logia:
Best:
Borsalino:
limiting usage to one admiral only, he can use it for attacks, transport, make himself weighless etc...

Enel:
save his life, powerup a ship, burn and melt objects other than attacks

Monet
Although weak for a logia user, she does make good use of the snow... making an igloo with mutli-layers was quite smart..


Bad:
Smoker:
all he does is smoke, barely see him use it in non-battle forms

Caribou:
Can hide objects and avoid physical damage, but nothing more..

Crocodile:
Just to pick a 3rd... but dehydrate the opponent and use sand in battle is all we have seen...

Best:
Chopper:
Clearly, can do multiple forms, use it to his advantage...

Rob Lucci:
Well, considering that he has a carnivore DF ability, he does control it well for partial and full levels at maximizes the aggression..

Sengoku:


Worst:

Foxy - He could use his noro noro beam like Hebihime does

Inazuma - He (or she) can cut everything, even kairouseki, I wonder if he can also cut swords

Magellan - I think his venom megazord is a lot powerful and could be very dangerous at marineford war

The logias are very overpower and have a thousand other ways to use them, so they don't deserve to be on the list

Mr 3 is actually a great user of the DF. We replaced it with a key, uses to create his bunshins, saves himself from being eaten, handicaps the opponent and even shielded against Magellan's poison.
Its unfair to rate him as worst...

Inazuma never cut Kairouseki, when did he do that?
