I'm not going to try to debunk arguments filled with downplaying and obvious bias..

Every feat Jellal shows is downplayed and every feat shown against Jellal/compared to Jellal is blown out of proportion.. Jellal can't beat Invel? Jellal can't beat friggin Wall? LMAO.. And that's not all..Jellal has no notable speed feats???!!! :blink Neinhart one-shotted him? Just reading that last one is enough to recognize a biased interpretation...Wonder why I even bothered this far.

@Jko Have fun downplaying bro,I'd be glad if you kept me out of it and didn't quote me in the future though
no one is downplaying Jellal he is par or close to God Serena powerlevel. Irene--->God Serena/Jellal/Laxus

If this is Human Irene then Jellal may win extreme diff.

Very extreme diff. But if it is Dragon Irene then she stomps.

Irene high diffs or a tie, as it is now this is where I have Jellal placed in the top 3.
Dragon Irene>August>Human Irene>=Jellal>Larcade
Jellal performed better against Acnologia than Irene, so that puts him around that bracket as far as his power level.
Why does Invel even matter in this thread?

@Jko Have fun downplaying bro,I'd be glad if you kept me out of it and didn't quote me in the future though
  • He was oneshotted by Neinhart
  • Tell me how he can get out of Invel's ice slave or flash freeze?
  • Tell me how he'll survive a fire ball that engulfed a town when he couldn't even take a fodder blast from the weakest S12?
  • Tell me one actual speed Jellal had in this entire arc.
You're telling me I'm downplaying but I'm giving actual facts. Jellal was indeed oneshotted by Neinhart and need Kagura to save his life. That is a fact. A fodder blast KOed him.

You say I'm downplaying but all I see is you overpaying the heck out of Jellal without giving any solid feats. If you can't take people coming at your points then don't post in a forum meant for discussion.

And? Her beating Erza in H2H already shows she is a better fighter.
She's the better CQC fighter, but that shouldn't come up that much, and Jellal can always use Meteor to create distance if needs be.
Acno praised and acknowledged Irene. He was using as much or more force then he did on Serena as he knew she was vastly stronger than him. Jellal is not stronger than Serena and half dead Erza and Wendy aren't individually stronger than Serena physically either. Acno only used as much force needed to kill them.
Whoa.... did you just claim casual Acno > serious Acno?

Dude, Acnologia blitzed everyone present when he blitzed Serena, August included. It's the best human speed feat in the manga by miles, no one has come close to it. The only people that might be able to react to that are Zeref and IgNatsu, and even that's unlikely. Claiming that he tried harder on Irene than on Serena is ludicrous, the guy was on a mission to annihilate him, and all bets were off when Serena started spouting about how he could kill him. There was a clear difference in attitude, a clear difference in intention, and a very clear difference in results.

As for the claim of Serena > Jellal, that's tough to prove considering Serena's short time in the manga. It's also tough because Jellal has significant feats now, he's no longer only riding on hype, he's got good feats against a good enemy. I see Jellal as above Serena, he's faster, has spells that he can spam quickly and has enough firepower to blast Acnologia back.
He has never one on one an S12 let alone a mid tier so no he hasn't shown to be better than a mid tier. Wall, Invel, Bradman, Jacob and almost every regular tier S12 can beat Jellal.
You're right, Jellal hasn't 1 vs 1'd a mid-tier, but he was never put up against one. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Tell me, what level do you consider people to be who are able to blast back a casual human Acno? I'd say top tier, since casual human Acno still has some amazing feats. Because of this, I hold both Jellal and Irene as top-tier combatants who are comparable in most areas
Jellal speed isn't really anything considering he has no notable speed feats.
No notable speed feats? He showed one when he first showed up in Hargeon, he managed to process the fact that Neinhart was using a nuke, run over to Kagura and protect her all before Neinhart's nuke hit them. He also managed to get in front of Erza and Wendy and erect a barrier to protect them before Acnologia's magic attack could hit them. Prior to this, Jellal was nowhere to be seen.
Neinhart oneshotted him. Jellal was KOed before he hit the ground. Jellal wouldn't got pinned by an anchor or he would really be a weak mage if he couldn't even get an anchor Kagura could get off of him.
Jellal was KO'd before he hit the floor? I disagree, he even makes a grunting noise when he gets hit by it.
As for getting pinned by an anchor, how does that hint that he's a weak mage? All it means is that he isn't that physically strong. Also, we never see how Kagura got the anchor off of him or how long it took, we only see her swim out from underneath it and out of Jellal's grasp, then it cuts to Erza, and then it cuts to her and Jellal on dry land. Even if we ignore this, base Jellal could easily avoid Neinhart's nuke, he optionally intercepted it after all.
Not really holding August against but it shows he is no match for the top tiers. Gild by himself for ghe most part did better than the entire CS.
A) We only saw the end of CS vs August, we have no idea how long that fight went on for. Judging by the fact that Hoteye was KO'd and the marks on CS I'd say it was a decently long fight though.

B) Gildarts did better because he had an ally that highlighted August's weakness, had immense CQC skills to fall back on and had a spell that August couldn't copy or nullify. August was also barely using magic against Gildarts, whereas we saw him use CS' magic against them.

So with these points in consideration, it's fair to say that Jellal is a match for top tiers, he just faced a top tier that happened to be completely immune to everything in his skill set. Which again, shouldn't be held against him since August can fodderize basically any other top tier.
Her quantity and quality is greater than Jellal's.
She has more MP for certain and Enchanting is more versatile, but their attack power seems even.
Nowhere near as fast as a Dragon. His speed doesn't even compare to Erza.
Good thing that Irene is restricted to her human form then.

And his speed doesn't compare to Erza? The guy surprised human Acno:
NOTE: I am not in any way remotely saying that Jellal can blitz casual human Acno or anything of the sort. All I'm saying is that base Jellal did manage to surprise Acno speed wise, so that is impressive. Consider the fact that he has Meteor in reserve to increase his speed if needed and I think it's more than fair to say he has top tier speed.

Even if we ignore this, he has hype on his side, Zeref expected him or Laxus there ahead of any other Ishgarian mage, so his speed has hyped as better than any other Ishgarian mage. With this I think it's fair to say his speed is definitely superior to Erza's, he has the feats and the hype.
A feat is feat. She smashed that meteor with minimal effort at that.
So long as you factor that there was the biggest load of nakama-power and plot BS behind that slash then fair enough. If you don't? Well... at least it explains why our views are so different.
Irene never stated Deus Sema is her best spell. She did it casually.
I know, but it was the only Heavenly Body Magic she used and she only used it in Dragon Form. Personally, I don't think she could use it in her human form. Even if she can, she couldn't find the time to do so whilst under attack by Erza and Wendy, so she won't against Jellal seeing as how he's faster than them and can spam stronger spells.
She actually forced Acno to recognize her and proceeded to keep him at bay the entire war with u1. She actually won the encounter not ran with her tail between her legs. She did that casually at that, and Acno praised her strength.
Yes, Acnologia did praise her and I commend that, but you're wanking Irene way too much here.

Irene won the encounter? She had to BFR him because she knew Acnologia would win if it went on. And your argument of her doing that casually isn't that convincing because she'd already made "thorough preparations" prior to his arrival.

Also you're saying Jellal ran like it was a bad thing. Did you forget that Acnologia had gone into his Dragon Form and revealed that he can eat any magic?
Acno completely ignored Jellal and the only time he commented to Wen was to boast about himself.
He technically talked to the entire group when he ate Jellal's magic and explained his element/lack of element. I'm not saying it counts, just saying. Honestly, the fact that he ate Jellal's magic in the first place could be considered a compliment within itself.
S12 are scared of human Irene. She just turn Invel into a flower. She can no diff any S12 besides August.
LOL, so you're NLF'ing her Transformation Enchantment? Her Transformation Enchantment only worked on the fodder that is Hisui, assuming that it would work on Spriggans is exactly that - an assumption.

So your point that she wasn't a brawler and is more backseat fighter was a point you highlighted as to why she could lose to Jellal now you're turning it around saying Jellal will fight from a distance?
Whoa.... did you just claim casual Acno > serious Acno?

Acno was casual against Serena. Not once did he show any sign of going serious. Killing intent doesn't mean serious.

Irene is stronger than Serena by a lot and that was stated over and over again. Acno wouldn't use more force than necessary to beat him. There's no way he'd use more force on a confirmed weaker opponent than a vastly superior one.

As for the claim of Serena > Jellal, that's tough to prove considering Serena's short time in the manga. I see Jellal as above Serena, he's faster, has spells that he can spam quickly and has enough firepower to blast Acnologia back.
He was the most troublesome out of the Historia, and he beat the GOI without a scratch. Those are better feats than Jellal who needed help against Neinhart.

Like I said blasting Acno back is as good as feat as Makarov stopping Acno. It means squat when Acno was kidding around.
You're right, Jellal hasn't 1 vs 1'd a mid-tier, but he was never put up against one. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
He doesn't have the feat to suggest he could take one on.

Not as much as you're overpaying it. Lucy knocked back Jacob doesn't actually mean she immediately top tier.
He was right by Kagura and Neinhart has no speed feats.

Acno was walking around.

Jellal was KO'd before he hit the floor? I disagree, he even makes a grunting noise when he gets hit by it.
Yeah he got knocked right there. You haven't shown anything to suggest it was drowning. He was clearly out when he got hit otherwise an anchor BoS Natsu could get out of wouldn't of pinned him down.
Kagura has feats of having enough strength to pick an anchor. BoS Natsu could pick a dang anchor. Even freaking Lisanna could pick up an anchor. It makes no sense for Jellal to not be able to get anchor off of him.
A) We only saw the end of CS vs August, we have no idea how long that fight went on for. Judging by the fact that Hoteye was KO'd and the marks on CS I'd say it was a decently long fight though.
I would say to long since nobody really even notice the battle was even going on.

B) Gildarts did better because he had an ally that highlighted August's weakness, had immense CQC skills to fall back on and had a spell that August couldn't copy or nullify. August was also barely using magic against Gildarts, whereas we saw him use CS' magic against them.
Gild did good before that. He actually landed solid hits on August.

So with these points in consideration, it's fair to say that Jellal is a match for top tiers, he just faced a top tier that happened to be completely immune to everything in his skill set. Which again, shouldn't be held against him since August can fodderize basically any other top tier.
Top tiers wouldn't have been tripped up by August magic and wouldn't be slaughter with a group of people. Top tiers means you can actually fight a top tier and not get hopelessly sluaghtered.

She has more MP for certain and Enchanting is more versatile, but their attack power seems even.
Her attack power is way higher. It was already proven as she was hopelessly decimating Ezra and Erza's attack power is way above Jellal's.
Good thing that Irene is restricted to her human form then.
Irene fought and killed Dragons in war. She kept up with an attack by an Acno who actually wasn't just sitting there and getting rammed by a dang ship.

As you can see by expression he is not surprised by Jellal, and looks completely bored by him.

Ezra intercepted a meteor that came from planetoids away in seconds.
Laxus is the grandchild of the guild it would make sense to see him since he's Yuri's great grandson.

Zeroed knew all about Jellal and his vendetta against him. Since you know the guy who has been looking for him this entire time he expected him to one of the first people.

Neither are a threat to Zeref so the hype is nonexistent.

And none of this is near the level of getting praised by the undoubtedly strongest person in the verse.
So long as you factor that there was the biggest load of nakama-power and plot BS behind that slash then fair enough. If you don't? Well... at least it explains why our views are so different.
So we can nakama BS on Jellal's barrier since you know he couldn't do squat to defend against Neinhart's attack, and got smashed when he faced a top tier.

At least Ezra already had feats to put her above Jellal lmao.

She was playing around with Ezra and Wendy the entire time. She couldn't ended the battle if she was blocked by plot. She blitzed Ezra before Ezra could even notice lol.
Yes, Acnologia did praise her and I commend that, but you're wanking Irene way too much here.
Says the guy who just wanked that Jellal got hyped from Zeref when Zeref gave no praise of Jellal. Getting praised from the being in the dang universe is not walk it's an actual accomplishment.
Irene won the encounter? She had to BFR him because she knew Acnologia would win if it went on. And your argument of her doing that casually isn't that convincing because she'd already made "thorough preparations" prior to his arrival.
Yeah Irene won the encounter. She kept Acno at bay the entire war. A feat August nor Zeref could accomplish.

She didn't even fight Acno in Dragon form lol and she was casual.
Also you're saying Jellal ran like it was a bad thing. Did you forget that Acnologia had gone into his Dragon Form and revealed that he can eat any magic?
Bcs you're hyping that feat up like Acno gave a care the entire fight. A ship rammed Acno back in that same assault he did on them. That should show you that Acno was not even entertaining the thought of taking the battle with a spec of seriousness.
He technically talked to the entire group when he ate Jellal's magic and explained his element/lack of element. I'm not saying it counts, just saying. Honestly, the fact that he ate Jellal's magic in the first place could be considered a compliment within itself.
He answered Wendy's question therefore he talked to her. No, it shouldn't. Acno didn't eat Jellal's magic because he had to. He was literally laughing at how pathetic the spell was. Him eating was just a way to give Mashima to explain his attribute.

LOL, so you're NLF'ing her Transformation Enchantment? Her Transformation Enchantment only worked on the fodder that is Hisui, assuming that it would work on Spriggans is exactly that - an assumption.
Irene >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jellal's or regular S12s so your NLF argument is alreday out the window. She can imbue her magic into anything therefore she is transmutating Jellal if she wants to. She already amped a S12 way passed his magical limits and that S12 MP is a lot higher than Jellal's. Jellal has nothing to say he can resist transmutation.

lol at the transmutation argument, it's just funny :yodawg, especially when eileen did it to a fodder... where was the transmutation against wendy and erza? they totally dominated Eileen before turning to a dragon. why didn't she use it? forgot using it?:hmm whereas on jellal 's side the bind snake spell can easly be used since it worked on erza and made her completly helpless, a feat human eileen can only dream of.

actually jellal feats prove he can take her high-diff... both erza and df wendy (who did nothign against dimaria) showed how shit eileen feats were.

Hype jellal can take her even with a lower diff... best eileen feat was in her dragon mode (deus sema) who's nothing but an advanced version of pre-ts jellal's sema (that's if i was really generous, because i see erza meant deus sema as an advanced version of Heaven body magic, when jellal was trying to cast sema he said True heaven body magic, obviously true heaven body magic is > heaven body magic, no?"

jellal advanced CG to a high level during the ts; he can do the same to Sema with the starry sky thing,

why people downplaying jellal base's speed? he sheilded kagura before erza could even react, he used a barrier to block acno attack while he wasn't even in the picture. moments ago. and he blitzed acnologia with "nine thunder-stars" while eileen was attacking him from a distance... and that's without even "meteor" which makes him even faster.

Acnologia never talked to August and its clear as day that even Base August is stronger than (Base Irene or Jellal), so can you guys stop claiming that Jellal performance impressed Acnologia or something...

Congratulations a serious jellal is faster than a non serious human Irene. And I agree with that transmutation spell using on a fodder doesn't mean it work on a relevant stronger mages that feat is overhyped. That saying since makarov was able To hold acnologia it means he can mid diff Irene and jellal.

No, God Serena is Gildarts tier
Jellal is Laxus hier
Irene > Gildarts/God Serena > Jellal/Laxus

So your point that she wasn't a brawler and is more backseat fighter was a point you highlighted as to why she could lose to Jellal now you're turning it around saying Jellal will fight from a distance?
My point is that Irene usually fights from a distance, I was simply adding that even if she tried to get in CQC range Jellal can just use Meteor to create distance.
Acno was casual against Serena. Not once did he show any sign of going serious. Killing intent doesn't mean serious.
Acnologia wasn't serious against Serena? That's the most serious Acnologia we've seen since his fight with Igneel. He wasted no time in just straight up blitzing Goddy, and he flat out stated that his mission was to eliminate him. If casual Acnologia was fighting anywhere near as hard against Irene she wouldn't have known what hit her. Also pay attention to the fact that Acnologia made sure to rip Goddy's lower torso apart, the same thing he did to Igneel and Gildarts. That move almost killed Gildarts and flat out destroyed Igneel. Going by that alone we can tell he was serious/put in far more effort than he did against Irene or Jellal.

@Atomicus Would you agree with this?
Irene is stronger than Serena by a lot and that was stated over and over again. Acno wouldn't use more force than necessary to beat him. There's no way he'd use more force on a confirmed weaker opponent than a vastly superior one.
Acnologia wouldn't use more force than necessary? Usually I'd agree with you, but Acnologia outright stated he went there to kill God Serena, and he wouldn't want to waste any time considering that if he spent any more time there he would end up fighting August and Jacob too, something which would slow his hunt for the Dragon Slayers.
He was the most troublesome out of the Historia, and he beat the GOI without a scratch. Those are better feats than Jellal who needed help against Neinhart.
Needed help against Neinhart? Jellal one-shotted him, Kagura being there is what saved Neinhart from getting insta-one-shotted, had Jellal not jumped into the nuke to save her, he could have gone straight to the one-shot.
Like I said blasting Acno back is as good as feat as Makarov stopping Acno. It means squat when Acno was kidding around.
Going by those standards you shouldn't be using Irene's performance against Acno as a indicator of superiority over Jellal. Acno was just as casual against her.
He doesn't have the feat to suggest he could take one on.
Having enough power to one-shot a low-tier Spriggan is proof enough, not to mention the fact that he can chain that in with two other decently powerful spammable attacks. He's also got the advantage of speed and agility.

Besides, do you think anyone below mid-S12 level could push casual Acno back? I don't.
Not as much as you're overpaying it. Lucy knocked back Jacob doesn't actually mean she immediately top tier.
The only times Lucy knocked Jacob back was when she blindsided him and when she hit him together with Natsu.

And I wouldn't call Jacob top-tier when he's not using Transport as anyone who is top-tier should have the AoE to hit him in Stealth.
He was right by Kagura and Neinhart has no speed feats.
My bad on the Kagura part, I thought Jellal was further back then he actually was.

About Neinhart though, he still managed to get between his nuke and Kagura before it hit her, which is fairly impressive considering that's his base speed.
Acno was walking around.
When he used the spell against Erza and Wendy? He was stationary, I'm saying it's impressive that Jellal managed to get in between Acno and Erza + Wendy because he was nowhere to be seen in the panel beforehand.
Yeah he got knocked right there. You haven't shown anything to suggest it was drowning. He was clearly out when he got hit otherwise an anchor BoS Natsu could get out of wouldn't of pinned him down.
He didn't get KO'd by the blast, he clearly makes a sound of pain as he's getting hit by it, what likely knocked him out was getting chucked through a boat and getting trapped under a heavy metal chain. But again, this doesn't even matter since he voluntarily jumped into Neinhart's nuke, had Neinhart launched that at Jellal he could have easily avoided it.
Kagura has feats of having enough strength to pick an anchor. BoS Natsu could pick a dang anchor. Even freaking Lisanna could pick up an anchor. It makes no sense for Jellal to not be able to get anchor off of him.
Jellal was pinned under the chain, and more importantly, he was face down.
It's the worst posture to be in since lifting requires back strength, so his back being pretty much crushed under a massive chain would stop him from lifting it. And Kagura didn't necessarily have to lift it off either, she could have dragged Jellal out from under it, which would be the much easier option.
I would say to long since nobody really even notice the battle was even going on.
No one outside of team Natsu knew Irene vs Wendy + Erza was going on until Deus Sema was cast, and team Natsu only knew because they were there at the start. August vs CS could have gone on for as long as Irene vs Wendy + Erza for all we know, especially considering how beat up CS were.
Gild did good before that. He actually landed solid hits on August.
He landed a solid hit with his Crash magic at the start, after that Gildarts dominated him despite Cana being there. He got another hit in right at the end, but that hardly scratched August.
Top tiers wouldn't have been tripped up by August magic and wouldn't be slaughter with a group of people.
Top-tiers wouldn't get tripped by August's magic? Well then Gildarts isn't top-tier going by your standards, he had immense skill in CQC, an ally that highlighted August's weakness and a magic attack that August couldn't nullify or copy. Despite all of this, he was still getting slaughtered. But this isn't a slight against Gildarts, August is basically unbeatable unless you're Zeref or Acnologia. What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't use Jellal's fight against August to claim he isn't top-tier or on par with Gildarts because had Gildarts vs August continued Gildarts would have suffered the same fate as CS.
Top tiers means you can actually fight a top tier and not get hopelessly slaughtered.
Going by those standards then only Acnologia, Zeref, Dragon Irene and E.N.D (assuming it lives up to the hype) are top-tier. August's magic basically screws over every other top-tier since they all use Caster magic.
Her attack power is way higher. It was already proven as she was hopelessly decimating Ezra and Erza's attack power is way above Jellal's.
Proof of her attack power being higher than Jellal's?

Jellal showed in 528 that his spells are pretty damn destructive. his Kyuuraishin pushed Acnologia back, so that alone in comparable to one of Irene's atmospheric enchantments. Then you have Grand Chariot which has great AoE, has one-shot a Spriggan and destroyed the area around Jellal and Acno. I'd say that alone makes their attack power seem comparable.
Irene fought and killed Dragons in war.
We only know that she fought in the war, we don't know whether she solo'd any dragons or whether she had help from other dragons like Belserion.
She kept up with an attack by an Acno who actually wasn't just sitting there and getting rammed by a dang ship.
You say he wasn't just sitting there when he was stood perfectly still aside from the arm movement:
In comparison, Acnologia actually got hit by Kyuuraishin after having dodged Pleiades, so Jellal hit a more mobile Acnologia than Irene did.
As you can see by expression he is not surprised by Jellal, and looks completely bored by him.
Then what are the exclamation marks for? It's been used before to show shock and surprise in this arc:

Ezra intercepted a meteor that came from planetoids away in seconds.
Had Deus Sema really been that fast then the fodder who talked about it shouldn't have been able to see it and hold a conversation whilst it was still in the sky. Either wind/atmospheric resistance slowed it down dramatically, or it was never that fast it the first place.
Laxus is the grandchild of the guild it would make sense to see him since he's Yuri's great grandson.

Zeref knew all about Jellal and his vendetta against him. Since you know the guy who has been looking for him this entire time he expected him to one of the first people.
Zeref says that he didn't think Gray would be the first to arrive, he wasn't thinking about their reasons for being there, he was talking about speed of arrival.
Neither are a threat to Zeref so the hype is nonexistent.
Zeref was clearly talking about speed there, it wasn't about whether they were a threat to him or not, especially seeing as how the only threat to Zeref is Acnologia or E.N.D (if his hype is accurate).
And none of this is near the level of getting praised by the undoubtedly strongest person in the verse.
I was speaking specifically about speed here. It was Irene's magic that impressed Acno, not her speed. And even so, Zeref is the second strongest character in the series, so the hype is still considerable.
So we can nakama BS on Jellal's barrier since you know he couldn't do squat to defend against Neinhart's attack, and got smashed when he faced a top tier.
Jellal didn't try and block Neinhart's nuke, he tried to get Kagura out of the way. And as for bringing August up again, the dude is ahead of all of the top-tiers (bar the ones mentioned earlier) by miles and we never saw the fight, so for all we know August could have just gone around it via Meteor.

Also the Erza incident is far more dubious since she'd broken every bone in her body (bar the ones in her right arm) and was surrounded by "master's strength". In comparison, Jellal didn't try to block the Neinhart nuke, he tried to outspeed it in base so he could get Kagura to safety, and he almost succeeded.
At least Ezra already had feats to put her above Jellal lmao.
Feats like getting murked by three fodder historia?
She was playing around with Ezra and Wendy the entire time. She couldn't ended the battle if she was blocked by plot. She blitzed Ezra before Ezra could even notice lol.
Could I see the scans of her blitzing Erza? I can't remember that happening, haven't read that fight fully recently.
Says the guy who just wanked that Jellal got hyped from Zeref when Zeref gave no praise of Jellal.
Zeref praised Jellal's (and Laxus') speed as he expected them to get to the guild first ahead of any other Ishgarian Mage. How is that wank? You asked for speed feats/hype and I gave you evidence.
Getting praised from the being in the dang universe is not wank it's an actual accomplishment.
That isn't wank, the bit I called wank was you saying Irene won their encounter. She activated Universe One and BFR'd him, that's only a win in the sense that she survived.
Yeah Irene won the encounter. She kept Acno at bay the entire war. A feat August nor Zeref could accomplish.
She kept him at bay because she had the magic to do so. August doesn't have anything in his arsenal that's like Universe One, and as far as we know neither does Zeref, her having Universe One doesn't mean she's above them (claiming Irene > Zeref is ludicrous), it just means she had a spell which was suited to the situation.

Don't get me wrong, it's a really impressive feat, but saying she won their encounter? She BFR'd him because she knew he'd win. That's not a win IMO.
She didn't even fight Acno in Dragon form lol and she was casual.
And she's lucky she didn't go into her Dragon Form, if a half-dead Erza can one-shot her out of her dragon form with every bone in her body broken, Acnologia would absolutely massacre her.
Bcs you're hyping that feat up like Acno gave a care the entire fight. A ship rammed Acno back in that same assault he did on them. That should show you that Acno was not even entertaining the thought of taking the battle with a spec of seriousness.
Where did I say Acno cared about the fight? I've outright stated numerous times that Acnologia was casual. My point is simply that Jellal pushed Acnologia back with Kyuuraishin, which is comparable to Irene pushing him back with her atmospheric enchantment.

In addition, the Christina blindsided Acno whereas both Jellal and Irene sent him flying with a direct attack. Also, if you're going to use the Christina against Jellal then it's only fair to use it against Irene, since their feats against Acnologia are comparable.
He answered Wendy's question therefore he talked to her. No, it shouldn't. Acno didn't eat Jellal's magic because he had to. He was literally laughing at how pathetic the spell was. Him eating was just a way to give Mashima to explain his attribute.
It can't have been that pathetic, we know that Acnologia only gets excited in battle when his opponent is even somewhat worthy, so whilst he might not have got praise for it, I don't think it's as bad as you're making it out to be.
Irene >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jellal's or regular S12s so your NLF argument is alreday out the window.
How is it out of the window? She's only transmuted Hisui, and different hax have different thresholds, it would be a hefty assumption to assume she can change Jellal because she changed Hisui.
She can imbue her magic into anything therefore she is transmutating Jellal if she wants to. She already amped a S12 way passed his magical limits and that S12 MP is a lot higher than Jellal's.
Amping someone and transmuting something are completely different, the former is just giving them more power, the latter is changing their mass and form.
Jellal has nothing to say he can resist transmutation.
What has Irene shown to say she could? As I mentioned above, she's only transmuted Hisui and it's far different to any other of her techniques. Saying she could transmute Jellal is nothing but pure NLF.

Human Irene wasn't impressive in the slightest IMO. Jellal pretty much replicated what she did against Acnologia and that was pretty much the only impressive feat of hers in her human form. I can definitely see Jellal beating her with high or extreme difficulty. He'd get demolished by Dragon Irene though.

My point is that Irene usually fights from a distance, I was simply adding that even if she tried to get in CQC range Jellal can just use Meteor to create distance.

Acnologia wouldn't use more force than necessary? Usually I'd agree with you, but Acnologia outright stated he went there to kill God Serena, and he wouldn't want to waste any time considering that if he spent any more time there he would end up fighting August and Jacob too, something which would slow his hunt for the Dragon Slayers.

Needed help against Neinhart? Jellal one-shotted him, Kagura being there is what saved Neinhart from getting insta-one-shotted, had Jellal not jumped into the nuke to save her, he could have gone straight to the one-shot.

Going by those standards you shouldn't be using Irene's performance against Acno as a indicator of superiority over Jellal. Acno was just as casual against her.

Having enough power to one-shot a low-tier Spriggan is proof enough, not to mention the fact that he can chain that in with two other decently powerful spammable attacks. He's also got the advantage of speed and agility.

Besides, do you think anyone below mid-S12 level could push casual Acno back? I don't.

The only times Lucy knocked Jacob back was when she blindsided him and when she hit him together with Natsu.

And I wouldn't call Jacob top-tier when he's not using Transport as anyone who is top-tier should have the AoE to hit him in Stealth.

My bad on the Kagura part, I thought Jellal was further back then he actually was.

About Neinhart though, he still managed to get between his nuke and Kagura before it hit her, which is fairly impressive considering that's his base speed.

When he used the spell against Erza and Wendy? He was stationary, I'm saying it's impressive that Jellal managed to get in between Acno and Erza + Wendy because he was nowhere to be seen in the panel beforehand.

I know gildartz>laxus but he isn't mid high diff laxus more likely it's a extreme high diff. Being on the same tier doesn't mean they are same level strength laxus is slightly weaker than gildartz

Extreme diff ? don't abuse bro
I think Gildarts is really underrated, in extreme diff Gildarts has managed to touch August
The only characters who can put Gildarts in extreme diff are August, Eileen, Zeref, Acnologia & Natsu
