But just to clarify ark doesn't need to explode to damage individuals
True, but it's been shown that exploding an ark bubble is much more effective for damage than just leaving the enemy in it.
Case in point when Nerobasta and Elizabeth compressed/exploded their arks against Derriere.

Sariel used the outside of his ark to force Galand to use critical over, showing that it doesn't have to explode to be effective
But he was serious and trying to hurt him, unlike Elizabeth.

And Ludoshel who according to you was pushed to his "ark limits" chose not to use an exploding ark to fight the indura in spite of the fact that he is capable of much bigger attacks.
I never said an exploding ark is a superior version of ark, I'm just saying that Elizabeth never exploded her ark bubble, which would've been better if she wanted to hurt him, rather than just use the bubble to move him away

Her not exploding the bubble is one reason why the ark is considered non-lethal

So, if exploding ark is peak ark, then Ludoshel was holding back with his light and we cannot confirm if Elizabeth has stronger ark magic.
I really don't want to go on a tangent here but I'm curious why people still have this idea that Ludoshel's ark is still apparently stronger than Elizabeth's? Or at least equivalent.

I mean from my perspective Elizabeth's ark has been a lot more versatile and has been a lot stronger than his shown by how effective her ark is.

By going off what the manga has shown, Elizabeth's ark has done greater feats yet people don't acknowledge it as being superior yet.

Also the comment said they were surprised that he wasn't damaged, not that they were surprised that Elizabeth didn't try to hurt him. They never mention anything about Elizabeth's pacifism.
They said they were surprised he wasn't hurt, but I'm saying they didn't understand the context of the ark itself.

They never knew Elizabeth was in the cloud of darkness intending to protect Derriere and not hurt Estarossa, they just assumed she was trying to, hence the comment.

So that's why the AA's comment means nothing because they never saw the full picture of the situation + Elizabeth's ark isn't even lethal if you consider the situation, previous ark usage and how she even used the ark itself.

I find it weird that members of the elite goddess team wouldn’t know how an ark worked. Plus if you said that Elizabeth didn’t intend to kill Estarossa, she could’ve just left him in the ark, but it still would’ve damaged him. Nerobasta’s ark started flaking away at Deri before it even exploded. I just don’t think it makes sense for Elizabeth not to try and subdue him especially when she has stated she is willing to fight to protect those she cares about. She didn’t have any qualms about engaging the 10C to fight for Mel. Just leaving him in an ark without a plan to subdue him seems pretty dumb. What did she think would happen next?

If it didn't do damage at the start, then it wouldn't do any damage even if you left him in it for a whole day.
A non-lethal ark isn't going to do damage.

Nerobasta’s ark started flaking away at Deri before it even exploded
Because she compressed it and HAD the intention to kill Derriere.
Elizabeth never compressed it at any given time and didn't want to hurt Estarossa = no damage

Subdue him? How?

Plus Elizabeth did try to make a peaceful solution with the 10C's but it didn't work + she has a friendly past with Estarossa, so I don't see why she would try to hurt him, especially when Derriere was her primary objective.

Also, I imagine she would've reacted to whatever Estarossa would've done after he broke out of the arc, but the AA's were there to take the fight, so Elizabeth had no need to really ''plan'' next.

I don’t think it’s a matter of the ark being non lethal, it’s more like Estarossa’s durbaility was too high, which makes sense because Elizabeth is nerfed in her current state. Even Enlil’s wrath couldn’t disintegrate him immediately. Plus estarossa was prepared to fight, so his power level naturally would’ve risen in the confrontation

Also Elizabeth didn’t intend to kill Derieri, it was more spontaneous than it was intentional.

Also she didn’t even remember estarossa at first and knew he was pretty much crazy and beyond reasoning. He ran at Deri like a lunatic

As to how it can subdue him, him having his flesh melted off if it worked would’ve done pretty well.

Enlil's wrath was going to kill him eventually if he didn't absorb the commandments, that's a given.

Plus, Elizabeth has already demonstrated her prowess in being able to hurt superior opponents to 60k Estarossa.

I mean she bruised a Meliodas who was half-expecting the slap to come his way

She was able to hurt Estarossa in his 3C form when he was coming for her.

And without even knowing what she was doing she was able to melt Derriere's hand to the bone, who's not far off in terms of strength to Estarossa. She's 48k in strength and he's 53k, and she did that feat whilst being at her weakest form ever. So there isn't really any doubt that she couldn't hurt him if she wanted to, she just ended up not wanting to.

Also Elizabeth didn’t intend to kill Derieri, it was more spontaneous than it was intentional.
She attacked the hand that was going to hit and probably kill Zaratras, so she wasn't killing but defending a friend by hurting Derriere.
But in this situation she protects Derriere by sending Estarossa away, there's clearly no intention to harm him given everything we have seen of Elizabeth.

I'll just put it down to Elizabeth being a pacifist and not wanting to hurt Estarossa unless she absolutely had to.
Or she was that concerned about protecting Derriere, killing Estarossa didn't cross her mind, which I wouldn't be surprised about considering how kind of a person she is.

The Mel slap was more comedic effect imo and Derieri wasn’t even really giving it her all till Mel came to fight. Plus Mel wasn’t even giving it his all when he let Elizabeth slap him. The manga has shown that if you’re serious about a fight, your power level surges. Mel was very lukewarm and derier’s opponent was someone at 3K.

As for Elizabeth hurting someone more than 60K, that only happened in her goddess form. She’s currently a human and all of her other opponents have circumstances that kinda nullify the feats.

Doesn't excuse or change the fact that Elizabeth was still able to hurt them.
Also, how is it ''comedic effect'' when it was one of the most important moments in Elizabeth's character development? If Nakaba wanted to pull the ''comedic lover slap'' card he would've done it at a moment where it wasn't serious or character defining. Like he could've done it literally at a stupid moment like Meliodas being a pervert and Elizabeth gets sick of it so she slaps him, not when they are arguing and being serious.

Just because Derriere wasn't 100% trying doesn't take anything from Elizabeth. She was much more nerfed and disadvantaged than Derriere, yet still pulled off the feat,

Plus Mel wasn’t even giving it his all when he let Elizabeth slap him.
Obviously not, it wasn't a battle, and if it was there are numerous ways in which Meliodas could deal with the ark blast that was coming his way if it was a genuine battle. It was the combination of Meliodas not wanting to hurt Elizabeth and him not fully expecting her to go through with the slap that allowed Elizabeth to hit him. But even then, it's an undeniable fact that she was able to injure him. Hurting a passive 142k demon is still a feat, regardless of the context, and when you compare it to Ludoshel, who did the same to Zeldris, since he was off-guard and essentially passive but ended up receiving less damage from an ark that looked stronger, it just emphasises her ability to hurt superior demons and how her ark is still stronger than the AA's.

The manga has shown that if you’re serious about a fight, your power level surges. Mel was very lukewarm and derier’s opponent was someone at 3K.
But that applies to Elizabeth too, she wasn't in a serious fight, so her PL didn't rise as well, yet she was still able to hurt the people she attacked.

I don't see how she isn't capable of hurting a 60k demon when she was able to against a passive 142k demon, especially when it wasn't even a ''fight'' with Estarossa, he just stood there and she sent him away.

Plus, she was able to do significant damage to a slightly weaker demon in her weakest form, how is she not able to hurt Estarossa in a stronger version of herself?

She's 100% capable of hurting him, she just didn't choose to for the several reasons I've already explained.

The circumstances behind the Mel slap change everything. They can’t just be ignored. If you ignore them, then by that logic Merlin is the strongest of the sins since she took down both Mel and Escanor. Saying the slap is one of her “defining moments” is an interpretation. Like I said it makes no sense that she can hit harder than 114K Escanor. Merlin already confirmed that Assault Mel would kill them all. Only Escanor was on a tier to damage assault Mel. Not Elizabeth.

I’m not talking about Derieri though. Deri isn’t 60K

Ludoshel in his human form has stronger magic than Elizabeth in her human form. The last time they shot their magic into the sky Ludoshel’s went much further than Elizabeth’s. As far as human comparisons go in the manga, ludo’s is better. Plus Zeldris wasn’t completly off guard. He was still prepared for a fight to a degree and was ready to draw his sword.

Like I said, we need proof that she’s able to hurt him, not interpretations. The AA expected him to take damage, but he didn’t. You don’t say “I’m surprised you’re not hurt” unless you expected someone to be hurt. Estarosss was just too durable for Elizabeth’s ark to damage him without exploding.

But Merlin's situation is completely different to that of Elizabeth's that you can't really contrast them.

Elizabeth was able to injure a passive 142k demon with a basic ark.

Merlin was able to ''take down'' Escanor because he was already defeated by Meliodas, since he took 98% damage (iirc). And with Meliodas, he was significantly injured and she was only able to stun him because of that condition. Plus, it's not like Merlin's magic is weak, so I'm not surprised that she was able to stun him, since her arsenal is borderline OP and unfair.

Meliodas in the Elizabeth situation wasn't significantly injured and was directly looking at Elizabeth when she was sending the ark blast his way, he just wasn't 100% ready to defend himself against it, and probably wouldn't since it was Elizabeth after all, but it still doesn't change the fact that the ark DID injure him, and that could only be possible if Elizabeth's magic was strong enough to do so.

Saying the slap is one of her “defining moments” is an interpretation
Sure, it's an interpretation but it's most likely true.

Elizabeth went from promising to always be by his side no matter the situation or condition he is in, to turning around to defy him, and even attack him.

Plus, it's a common stereotype in anime that the female lead doesn't act on her own and is generally bound to the main male character in order to get any development or plot, yet Elizabeth's moment here is defined as independent, because she went against the main male lead when he demanded her to obey him, so in simple terms, Elizabeth defied both stereotypes that are generally placed on female characters and went against her own personality/wishes. Meliodas going evil and deciding he's breaking the curse regardless if she wants it or not is just as character defining as what she did.

If it's not a ''defining moment'' for her character to you, then what is it? Comedy?

Like I said it makes no sense that she can hit harder than 114K Escanor. Merlin already confirmed that Assault Mel would kill them all. Only Escanor was on a tier to damage assault Mel. Not Elizabeth.
You're once again making comparisons that aren't valid.

-Escanor was in a battle against a demon who didn't lower his guard or allow any attack to hit him, unlike with Elizabeth he was just passive and not in a position to even block the attack if he wanted to. Like you said, in battle, PL's rise, so comparing a battle to a non-battle situation doesn't make sense.

-Elizabeth was using magic, and Escanor was using brute strength to hurt Meliodas, and any magic attack was just outright denied on his end if I remember, so how each of them hurt Meliodas is completely different as they are using opposite tools to do it.

-Elizabeth's magic has a natural advantage against Meliodas. I'm not specifically suggesting that all of the ark was only effective because of the type advantage, but it certainly played a role into it with the addition of Elizabeth's raw power. Even if Escanor has a grace, it doesn't have the light element to it, so Elizabeth technically has an upper hand when it comes to hurting demons, because she has magic that is specifically made for the job, Escanor doesn't have that.

We all know that Elizabeth's feat is inferior to Escanor's, because she was only able to hurt a passive 142k demon (or even stronger, considering how 142k wasn't his true ''awakening'') and not hurt a 142k demon in a death match. Plus, if it was really a battle, Elizabeth wouldn't be able to do what she did to Meliodas because:

-Full Counter exists
-Meliodas could just dodge it
-He could even grab her arm and if sinister enough, break it.
-Use his darkness to resist the light, or reduce the amount of damage the attack does, and since it just left a bruise, I'm going to say it would end up doing nothing. But then again, a serious Elizabeth's light should be able to overpower his darkness, because of the proportion of their strength's into each area. Elizabeth's stronger in magic, but Meliodas is stronger in physical strength to her etc.

So yeah, Elizabeth would've never been able to hurt him the way she did in an actual battle because it was just a regular small feat. Hurting a passive opponent doesn't equate to doing the same in battle, but at the same time, her being able to hurt him passively is still a feat because not everybody is capable of doing that. Ludoshel used a seemingly stronger ark against Zeldris who was off-guard, just like Elizabeth with Meliodas yet apparently did weaker damage?

''Only Escanor was on a tier to damage assault Mel. Not Elizabeth''. Sure, she isn't at his tier but it's not like she isn't at a tier that is incapable of hurting Mel. Her strongest feat is making 2 Indura's desperate, and it's not like they are far off Meliodas, since you could argue they are 100k+. So her hurting Meliodas isn't really a surprise to me, it's obvious she'd never win a 1v1 with him, but would still be capable of damaging him.

I’m not talking about Derieri though. Deri isn’t 60K
But she's not far off Estarossa in terms of strength though, yet Elizabeth in her weakest state pretty easily harmed Derriere.

Ludoshel in his human form has stronger magic than Elizabeth in her human form
Of course, because he has the perfect vessel and only has difficulty in controlling his power, unlike Elizabeth who directly stated herself that her power isn't what it used to be. indirectly stating Goddess > human form

The last time they shot their magic into the sky Ludoshel’s went much further than Elizabeth’s.
Beams of light doesn't necessarily correlate to power levels or magic strength, because it hasn't been confirmed whether that is the case or not. But for argument's sake, let's say it does.

Whilst yes, Ludoshel's beam was longer than Elizabeth's, her beam of light was much thicker and ''wild'' than Ludoshel's, it looked much more powerful. If you really want to know my interpretation of it, it seemed Elizabeth's ark was stronger, but weaker in terms of magic reserves or endurance (e.g meaning the amount she can use because she's out of magic) in comparison to Ludoshel's, because it was shorter.

Maybe because her beam was larger, it makes up for the length of what Ludoshel has, who knows, but then again Ludoshel has all of his magic strength, whilst she's been indicated to not have, so I'm not surprised if in the end, her magic power is inferior to his when she's in his human form.

If you really want to compare Elizabeth vs Ludoshel, then just look at the Indura feat + Goddess wings, they are a much better tool to gauge strength, rather than a beam of light which could mean literally anything.

As far as human comparisons go in the manga, ludo’s is better.
Apparently not, because Elizabeth did superior damage to a superior demon with the same level ark.

She bruised Meliodas whilst Ludoshel merely gave Zeldris a bloody lip, basically nothing.

Plus Zeldris wasn’t completly off guard. He was still prepared for a fight to a degree and was ready to draw his sword.
Meliodas was prepared as well to an extent, since he was directly looking at Elizabeth, holding her arm, and even told her to hit him, so it's not like he never saw the attack coming.

Zeldris was prepared to an extent as well against Ludoshel, but he was caught off-guard, just like Meliodas, yet the ark did almost no damage to him, unlike Elizabeth's ark which did more.

It might just be me, but Elizabeth's ark seems much stronger than Ludoshel's because it has done feats which he hasn't done, like:

-Elizabeth's ark being more effective against Indura
-She's been capable of grand healing, grand purification, summoning biblical animals and even using ark offensively, Ludoshel hasn't done any of these besides offensive ark, so it seems her magic power is a lot more versatile than his.
-Elizabeth had the same situation as Ludoshel against Meliodas, yet she did more damage to a superior demon, and with the same type of ark (it was very basic).
-AA basically praise her ark and ask for it all the time.
-In her Goddess form, she has better feats. In her human form, she has better feats. So I don't see the Ludoshel > Elizabeth opinion anywhere.

Like I said, we need proof that she’s able to hurt him, not interpretations.
A statement by a character who didn't see 100% of the situation of the ability doesn't exactly constitute as proof either. Actions always speak louder than words, especially when said words are of bias and expectations. Sariel just made the statement because he expected Elizabeth's ark regardless of her intention or will to hurt him, he blatantly overestimated the ability she used.

Plus, like I've asked before and haven't been given a response, what constitutes the ark bubble she used as ''lethal''? Because the AA said it was supposed to do damage? If we take statements as 100% fact then I suppose Estarossa is truly hiding a second demon mark since Cusack said he's Zeldris equivalent or superior.

But obviously we saw how that went when you trust statements too much.

The AA expected him to take damage, but he didn’t. You don’t say “I’m surprised you’re not hurt” unless you expected someone to be hurt. Estarosss was just too durable for Elizabeth’s ark to damage him without exploding.
How?
It wasn't even a battle, Estarossa was just standing there passively and Elizabeth decided to use her ark on him. It's the exact same situation with Meliodas yet she was able to hurt him but not somebody who's 82k weaker? That doesn't make sense, unless you consider:

-She didn't have the will to hurt Estarossa. And it's clear by now that if you don't want to harm somebody, then you won't. Elizabeth used her ark on the entire country of Liones, and ended up healing everybody, even Meliodas (a demon) but not Hendrickson, because she wanted to hurt him (in order to make him stop hurting people).
-The ark she used was used to displace him, not hurt him, and it's demonstrated by how she uses the ark, rather than compressing or attempting to explode the ark immediately, she uses it to move him away and that's it.
-The entire situation revolved around her telling us she is going to protect Derriere, not kill or even harm Estarossa.

It makes no sense how Elizabeth can supposedly injure a 142k passive demon but not a 60k passive one? Unless of course, she never wanted to, as demonstrated by her resolve and usage of her non-lethal ark

AA's statement doesn't excuse anything that's already been established in the series. We already know statements mean nothing unless actions back them up, and in this case, actions contradict what they said.

But she's not far off Estarossa in terms of strength though, yet Elizabeth in her weakest state pretty easily harmed Derriere.

Of course, because he has the perfect vessel and only has difficulty in controlling his power, unlike Elizabeth who directly stated herself that her power isn't what it used to be. indirectly stating Goddess > human form

Apparently not, because Elizabeth did superior damage to a superior demon with the same level ark.

She bruised Meliodas whilst Ludoshel merely gave Zeldris a bloody lip, basically nothing.

Merlin’s situation is different, but they both have reasons as to why they worked. Elizabeth was comedic effect, same as when Merlin hit Escanor. If something is passive, I really don’t consider it a feat. And back to the magic thing, force is force. Whether strength or magic doesn’t make a difference. (Unless it’s a spirit attack)

As for Zeldris, he had his sword drawn and all his attention on Merlin (just not ludos attack). Mel was lukewarm and didn’t expect her to hit him like she meant it. That’s why he was shocked when he looked up.

And Elizabeth ark laser definitely looked weaker to me compared to her old magic. Her old magic was always sharp and precise, this looks unfocused. Plus the community was glad to say it showed that she had stronger magic until they found out that it was Ludo’s beam.

And again back to the AA, I still find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t know how ark worked. And statements do matter to a degree, otherwise I can just ignore that Elizabeth was praised by Mael.

And estarossa was going to fight. He dived at Derieri and Elizabeth had to stop him. If he wasn’t going to fight, then why did she stop him?

Also the Escanor thing still stands regardless of full counter. If Elizabeth could contribute anything to the fight, then Merlin would’ve put her in there along with Escanor. That basically takes care of full counter as he cannot full counter two attacks from different directions.

Plus Cusack said Estarossa “might” have been as strong as Zeldris. There was doubt in his words, unlike the AA

''Comedic effect'' doesn't apply to Elizabeth. Unlike Merlin, where many character were being sarcastic and joking about Merlin being stronger than Escanor, the whole situation with Elizabeth and Meliodas was a serious moment, where was the humour after she slapped him? There was none, it was a very important moment for both Meliodas and Elizabeth's relationship, nothing about it suggested that the slap was used to make comedy for the audience, so I don't see how you came to that conclusion.

You might not believe it is a feat, but at the end of the day it is, because it took Elizabeth a lot of courage to even dare to hit Meliodas in his emotionless form and then have the skill to be able to do it. Plus, it's not like any Goddess out there can do what she did, the AA probably could, but besides the 4 of them and Elizabeth, I doubt anyone could hurt Meliodas the way she did. Do you believe Nerobasta could do that to Meliodas? No, because she couldn't get past Derriere, so since Elizabeth is a select few who could achieve what she did, it constitutes as a feat, granted it's a small feat and nothing ''oh wow'', but it's still something to consider about the whole ''Elizabeth > AA'' argument.

Plus, while yes ''force is force'' it still matters what the source of the ''force'' is. Elizabeth is naturally going to have an easier time to hurt Meliodas than Escanor because ark will always be superior to sunshine when trying to hurt demons, since ark is made for the purpose of hurting demons. So when you go ''Escanor at 114k couldn't hurt Meliodas, so is Elizabeth 114k+ because she could?'' it matters what Elizabeth used against Meliodas in order to determine if that's the case. Obviously she doesn't need to be 114k to do that feat because it wasn't a feat + ark element helps her.

As for Zeldris, he had his sword drawn and all his attention on Merlin (just not ludos attack). Mel was lukewarm and didn’t expect her to hit him like she meant it. That’s why he was shocked when he looked up.
It's still a similar situation however. Zeldris was caught off-guard about Ludoshel's attack because as you said, all of his attention was on Merlin and not on Ludoshel, so he wasn't battle ready against the attack he received. It's the same as Meliodas not being battle ready against Elizabeth's attack, yet she still managed to do more damage than Ludoshel did when she is supposedly in a weakened state of power? Zeldris and Meliodas were both caught off-guard to a similiar degree, granted, not 100%, but it's not like they were on full-guard as well.

But yet, when I see Ludoshel being able to minimally hurt Zeldris and block his attack easily, most of the fandom accepts it as a display of his power and use it to justify why he's equivalent or superior to that of Zeldris, but when it comes to Elizabeth we make excuses such as ''well it's comedic effect'' or ''it's a lover's argument it doesn't count'' or even ''well it's not a deathmatch so it doesn't count''.

Why are we making exceptions for Elizabeth's character? It's still a feat.

And Elizabeth ark laser definitely looked weaker to me compared to her old magic. Her old magic was always sharp and precise, this looks unfocused. Plus the community was glad to say it showed that she had stronger magic until they found out that it was Ludo’s beam.
Honestly, if you want to argue about the beam of light, go for it, but it's not really a consequential moment for the whole Elizabeth vs Ludoshel debate. His beam was longer, but hers was larger, so you could say they were even, but if you want to argue if the beams represent power, they probably do, but at the same time there are other better methods for the debate of strength. Go look at the wings and each character's feats if u want to argue who's superior, because a beam of light means nothing when any silly reason could be justified: like, ''well Elizabeth was holding back her beam''. etc

And again back to the AA, I still find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t know how ark worked. And statements do matter to a degree, otherwise I can just ignore that Elizabeth was praised by Mael.
Of course they know how ark works, but at the same time they didn't see the context around it, so they made assumptions out of their expectations. They never saw that her intention was to protect Derriere and not kill Estarossa, but they just saw him become enveloped by her ark and assumed that's what she was going for, hence the whole baseless ''wow nice getting out of that ''lethal'' ark unharmed''.

Also, statements do matter to a degree yes, but actions will always speak louder volumes than any words can. Mael's praise was based on the context of her healing skill, which was just highlighted to be powerful in the situation. It's a different moment than the ark bubble situation where they make a praise but the actions don't correlate or make sense to what they've said. So the statement is contradicted by the situation, hence why what the AA doesn't make sense.

And estarossa was going to fight. He dived at Derieri and Elizabeth had to stop him. If he wasn’t going to fight, then why did she stop him?
Intention doesn't matter. Did it turn into a fight? It never did, Elizabeth stopped him because it could develop into that situation, So to be technical, he was being passive and she used ark on him.

Also the Escanor thing still stands regardless of full counter. If Elizabeth could contribute anything to the fight, then Merlin would’ve put her in there along with Escanor. That basically takes care of full counter as he cannot full counter two attacks from different directions.
But she would've been killed in the process before being able to do anything because she's a fragile human? Just because she can hurt him doesn't mean she can contribute much if:

A) She gets killed by a rampaging Meliodas before she can do anything
B) Get in Escanor's way since he'll have to protect her etc.

If Merlin really wanted to she could've made it a Everyone vs Meliodas since everyone can contribute to the fight, but people would've been killed in the process, except Escanor, so that's why she didn't add anybody else in, because contributions mean nothing if it gets u killed.

Plus Cusack said Estarossa “might” have been as strong as Zeldris. There was doubt in his words, unlike the AA
He still in the end praised Estarossa and made the entire fandom predict that he had a second demon mark. It just one example as to why statements shouldn't be trusted unless they have direct actions that support them.

I don't believe in what the AA's said because Elizabeth's actions don't fit into what they said.

They said it's surprising that the ark didn't hurt him, but I'm not seeing where Elizabeth even tried to hurt him? She used an ark that is less inherently damaging, decided to never use it in a way that would hurt him, and all whilst she wanted to protect Derriere and didn't express any intent of actually wanting to harm him.

So here we have a statement made by the AA's that is contradicted by Elizabeth's actions, and even further by the fact that they didn't see 100% of the scenario from what they made the praise on, and instead probably made the assumption that she tried to hurt him in a lethal way because they either overestimate her ark, glorify anything she does, have outright bias for her, or just think Elizabeth is some killing machine and not the pacifist that she always is.

So yeah, the AA's comment is always going to be weird to me and will mean nothing.

Comedic effect doesn't apply to Elizabeth? Literally the moment after Mael finished praising her and after the sins noted her growth, Nakaba made her fall for comedic effect. When she saved Derieri with the whale, Derieri said the magic was ridiculous (silly). Comedic effect certainly applies to her. She's been used for comedic effect since part one; even in serious situations.

Yes the ark element helps, but Elizabeth is still in a human body. The 4AA used a combined Ark attack on 60K Estarossa and he shrugged it off. There's another issue with continuity- Nakaba essentially made her magic stronger than the two AA even though she is nerfed. Saying she's stronger than two AA in her human form is a gigantic stretch.

He wasn't passive he just didn't get to hit her because he was stopped. By that logic Meliodas vs Escanor never happened until the later end of chapter 232 because Escanor didn't manage to hit him till around that part. It was a fight, Estarossa just got cocky and careless. What did you think he would do? Run to the stage and start talking to everyone. He came to get the commandment and take Elizabeth. He even tried to kill the other holy knights.

But she would've been killed in the process before being able to do anything because she's a fragile human? Just because she can hurt him doesn't mean she can contribute much if:
Which is a contradiction because you yourself said that one plan for Elizabeth was to have the sins occupy an opponent while Elizabeth acts as support. Now that plan doesn't apply? Especially when Escanor is worth 6 sins by himself before 11AM? Gowther knew Escanor could've been killed, but he was put in there because
A. He was useful to a degree
B. Mel was cocky and allowed
If Elizabeth is as strong as you say she is, then by that logic she should've been in there because
A. Her ark according to you should be able to damage him in reality
B. Mel was cocky and probably wouldn't have one shotted her since he didn't try to one shot Escanor. As far as I can tell pre noon Escanor and Elizabeth are both fragile humans before Assault Mel that could be killed with one attack if Mel desired it. Yet only Escanor was put in there which leads me to believe that his abilities are much more useful than Elizabeth is hyped up to be.

He still in the end praised Estarossa and made the entire fandom predict that he had a second demon mark. It just one example as to why statements shouldn't be trusted unless they have direct actions that support them.
Just because the fandom doesn't know the definition of the word "might" doesn't mean there was a lack of doubt. The word might by itself is doubtful. Fandom interpretations don't matter.

Eli blowing Assault mode Mel away is the biggest outlier in the series.
Not really. She casually destroyed Derieri’s hand before she fully regained her goddess powers and memories when Nerobasta failed to do so with her Arc while possessing Denzel. 3000 years ago she pushed back Indura Derrieri and Indura Monspeet. Than she slapped and damaged Assault Mode Meliodas. Later on she also easily destroyed Estarossa’s Black Hound. Now a couple of chapters ago she also damaged 3C Estarossa.

Of course she experiences comedic effect, but I was specifically saying that during the Elizabeth vs Meliodas argument, there was 0 traces of comedic effect, since the conversation and moment they were having was significantly serious and ended on a serious note, you don't see Elizabeth laughing, falling over, or any comedy in that moment.

So to say ''well Elizabeth slapping Meliodas is just comedic effect'' is downright incorrect since it was one of the most serious moments in the manga when it comes to their relationship.

To be fair, the AA were inside human bodies, heavily restricting their powers, and even then, Sariel and Tarmiel's ark's aren't as impressive as Ludoshel and Elizabeth's as they haven't ascertained the same feats. So if you take: weak form + weaker arc + basic arc = you get Estarossa not receiving a scratch.

It's a gigantic stretch, but I'm just going off what is in the manga. If Elizabeth in a nerfed state can hurt Meliodas but 2 AA can't do that to Estarossa then how do I deny that Elizabeth isn't superior to the AA? She keeps getting feats that the AA's simply don't have.

Even I think it's weird that 2 AA in nerfed state did didlly squat, but it's in the manga lol

Like I said, comedic effect along with other circumstances. Zeldris wasn't comedic effect so naturally things would be different..
But neither was Meliodas vs Elizabeth

And if it was to you, please pinpoint to me the precise moment which indicates the chapter (248) did have comedic effect in it, because I don't see it. All I see is a serious conversation between Elizabeth and Meliodas about the curses, what they plan to do, consistent arguing which then ends with a serious slap.

I really don't see how the moment is comedic effect.
And since Meliodas vs Elizabeth isn't comedic effect, and neither is Zeldris, why do you tend to accept Ludoshel's moment more over Elizabeth's? They did the exact same thing in similar scenario's, yet Elizabeth yielded better results.

I don't see how I contradicted myself, I only discussed about such a plan as Elizabeth being support and the sins being front line when it came to them fighting Chandler, Cusack, or Zeldris. I never mentioned Meliodas, because the sins simply don't stand a chance, unless you can bring an immediate full noon Escanor to the table, Meliodas wins the battle in 30 seconds if he takes it seriously, and that's why in this scenario, I don't believe Elizabeth would've contributed much to Escanor's fight against Meliodas because she would've been killed or put down before she could even launch or think about using ark.

Plus, if you think about it, Elizabeth never even had the opportunity to be placed inside the perfect cube with Escanor as well, since Merlin had to immediately encase Escanor and Meliodas in order to stop the latter from killing everybody. And to put Elizabeth inside, means she has to drop perfect cube, which is basically suicide in that moment. Even if Elizabeth demanded for it, Merlin would never oblige because she has a sister bias for Elizabeth and wouldn't put her in a situation which possesses huge risk for her.

The only time Elizabeth could stand in that perfect cube with Escanor is if she was a Goddess, since she could take more than 1-2 hits and look after herself much better. Any other form is just a waste of time.

Eli blowing Assault mode Mel away is the biggest outlier in the series.
You know, if you're going to make a statement, at least explain why.

Now a couple of chapters ago she also damaged 3C Estarossa.
Pretty much this,

Elizabeth's ark keeps doing feats the AA can't achieve and ends up being able to hurt or affect people who are significantly strong.

Personally, I just think people are grasping at the straws to discredit Elizabeth. I don't know why people are desperate to call the Elizabeth slapping Meliodas situation irrelevant when it just means she can hurt him, not that she is at his tier, or able to defeat him in a 1v1.

Damaged? You call that damage, he wasn't even there and couldn't be on his two legs lol.

She never damaged Meliodas either, bruises aren't damages, this is nothing and he let it happen.

Fact is, she still managed to hurt him.

Because hurting a passive 142k demon (or even stronger since as you have said, he is ''awakening'') is nothing right? Anyone can do that right ? And him ''letting it happen'' doesn't excuse Elizabeth from having the ability to hurt him.

Honestly, it's a small feat that is just oversimplified.

She hurt him because she can, but that doesn't mean she can win in a 1v1 against him lol

The entire thing was turned into a funny scene. Who casually goes "sure you can hit me" and then Mel was like "wow she actually did it" Just because it was tense for a moment doesn't make it not a comedic scene. There's no law that says tense scenes can't be made funny. Fact is, Elizabeth needed a way to escape and Nakaba had to make it funny. Elizabeth cannot escape Mel on her own. I don't see how it's supposed to be the most "impactful scene in the relationship" when Mel basically felt like he was talking to a wall. Mel didn't care and Elizabeth just slapped him. The entire conversation lasted like 3 pages.

It was for comedic effect. If that's the only feat that we can draw upon for Elizabeth of course things are going to be skewed. It's not meant to make sense. Plus Elizabeth's powers are restricted too. She's also in a human body. And how can you say that Ludo has a stronger ark when we haven't seen him use but one attack in his human form?

Look at Mel's face when he gets up. He's basically surprised that she did it. That's a comedic anime trophe where the MC gets decked without knowing it. Same way that in the current chapter Wild's yelling managed to throw Mel into the air. Like I said Elizabeth needed a way to escape so Nakaba made the situation a humorous one. There's no way she could've escaped from Mel if this was serious.

The same thing can be said about the Chandler situation when he powered up. Both cases the sins would've been dead in seconds aside from Escanor if he could fight. And also the other thing I don't get is that you say that Merlin wont risk Elizabeth, but she'll risk Escanor? And not only that, but she can easily teleport Elizabeth inside. It's not a durability question. Both Elizabeth and Escanor could've been oneshotted but they weren't because of Mel's arrogance. So to say that Elizabeth's durability was an issue isn't a case because Escanor's durability was also. Mel was going easy.

Lastly, Estarossa's feat doesn't even add up because the dude was beyond injured. The commandments wrecked his body, his body was tearing itself apart and swelling up, we haven't seen that since Twigo exploded. So basiclally the two feats that people use to hype Elizabeth are basically when she hit a crippled Estarossa and when she slapped Mel. Plus back to Estarossa, explain to me how he gets up instantly from having his body shredded in a weaker state, but at his peak he cant even get up off the floor from a few balls to the face

We aren't discrediting Elizabeth, it's your fanbase that grasps for straws and this makes sense because the Elizabeth fans are the vast minority. Even people in the Elizabeth camp cant even predict her power. You say at her peak shes around 100K, Undina said she was Mael level, TarXan believes shes trash, Golgo says that she's Assault Mel level, and Aldan still thinks her magic is weaker than Merlins. This doesn't happen in any other major fanbase because we don't have these shoddy feats. The numbers don't lie.

The only real feats that I'd give to Elizabeth are managing to roast Deri's hand and somewhat fending off the indura. Other than that her most recent feats are too complicated. And when someone doesn't like a feat you say it doesn't make sense, but then go and say "Well I found the ark thing to be confusing so I don't count it." If something is confusing you about Elizabeth, odds are it confuses us on more than one instance

In what world is a 50K opponent comparable to a 100K opponent?:yodawg

Ok here's another perspective

Mel launched a darkness attack that was stronger than Zeldris' DK magic and that would've nearly killed Zel and Esta according to Elizabeth. Zel and Esta took the attack and had no visible damage from it (no bruises, no internal or external bleeding, etc.) This shows their immense durability and Mel should be leagues above this since he's probably 3x more durable

So can someone explain to me how we can say that Elizabeth's nerfed and non lethal ark slap caused Mel to have physical damage. By this logic (if you buy into it) Elizabeth must have magic that is close to or surpasses that of the borrowed DK magic with ease and not only that, but she can do this in a nerfed form. This is why the ark slap doesn't make any sense or have any credibility. Zel and Esta can take immsense beatings and by power scaling Mel can do the same. Yet, Elizabeth can somehow dish out damage on par with that... Pre AM Mel already established that neither he nor Elizabeth have magic that is close to the DK's borrowed power, yet here we clearly see Elizabeth pulling off a feat that proves him wrong... Like really what?

But the entire point of a comedy scene is to make the audience laugh lol

No one laughed at how Meliodas was knocked to the ground by Elizabeth. It was amusing, but the intention wasn't to make people laugh lol

And why would Nakaba introduce a comedy effect in one of the most defining character moments for Meliodas and Elizabeth? Talk about being stupid, especially when it didn't work or make anybody laugh.

Meliodas had every intention and potential to go straight after Elizabeth once she made her great escape, but he didn't, all he did was scream at the window and then let her be. So it's pretty clear once she put up a resistance, he just had the attitude of ''well idc what u do im still becoming DK''.

She has wings to fly, pretty sure she could escape Meliodas.

It's the most impactful scene in their relationship, because:

-We have Meliodas, someone who decided to abandon the throne of the Demon King and his entire clan in order to follow his true love, Elizabeth. Such love ended him being cursed and even then, he proceeds the next 3000 years loving and protecting Elizabeth no matter what. But in 248, he turns around and tells her he doesn't care for her anymore and only even considers her existence because of the promise he made to her many years ago.

-We have Elizabeth who was cursed for her love for Meliodas since she basically abandoned the Goddess Clan for it. On multiple occassions she has commented that she will always side by Meliodas, as seen in 242, yet 6 chapters later she turns around on such a statement and decides to do her own thing because Meliodas is beyond reasoning.

-Both Meliodas and Elizabeth become selfish in their quest to save each other, since they indirectly ignore what each other wants and proceed to do their own thing.

-The entire argument basically broke down the relationship. Meliodas and Elizabeth aren't really lovers anymore since he doesn't love her and they just had the biggest moment of disagreement in their entire relationship. Can you tell me when Elizabeth and Meliodas disagree that much it ends up fucking over their relationship?

So yeah, it's a relationship defining moment for them, so a lol comedic effect bro argument doesn't make sense to me.

Ludoshel's ark is stronger than who's? Sariel and Tarmiel's? If so it is because in their strongest forms, his ark was much more effective against the ten commandments if you compare it to the other 2AA.

Plus his wings are larger than theirs, so he's definitely stronger than them.

He's surprised she did it because it isn't in her personality to do what she did lol

Would you expect your girlfriend to hit you after 3000 years of obedience, several comments on loving you and always being by your side if you were in his position. He said ''hit me if you want'' because he never expected her to actually go through with it, and that's why he was shock, not because of some comedy effect lol.

Elizabeth can fly, so the ''well Nakaba needed to help her escape'' means nothing. She escaped on her own accord and ability, not because the author helped her.

So to say that Elizabeth's durability was an issue isn't a case because Escanor's durability was also. Mel was going easy.
Merlin could give less of a shit about Escanor lol

Merlin has a sister bias for Elizabeth, so she obviously doesn't want her to get hurt because she cares for her. And putting her in the cube is just giving Elizabeth risk of harm, and Merlin doesn't want that. I mean, if she didn't let Elizabeth into a perfect cube with a sleeping Meliodas there's no way she would let her into a cube where he's rampaging lol, even if she could've helped stop Meliodas.

Plus if ''durability is not the problem'' then why not have all the sins + elizabeth vs Meliodas then? What was the point of encasing Meliodas in a cube if he was going easy as you say?

Lastly, Estarossa's feat doesn't even add up because the dude was beyond injured. The commandments wrecked his body, his body was tearing itself apart and swelling up, we haven't seen that since Twigo exploded. So basiclally the two feats that people use to hype Elizabeth are basically when she hit a crippled Estarossa and when she slapped Mel.
I can actually agree to an extent with the crippled Estarossa situation. Out of all the feats it's the one I dislike the most, since it's true he was crippled and basically weakened, but at the same time Elizabeth was getting choked to death whilst in her human form, so it's not like she wasn't crippled too. It's a tiny feat imo, nothing big.

If you want, you can have this feat since your argument actually makes sense to me this time, but I'm not budging on the Meliodas vs Elizabeth situation :cheez

We aren't discrediting Elizabeth, it's your fanbase that grasps for straws and this makes sense because the Elizabeth fans are the vast minority.
But your entire defense against most of my argument is opinion, and nothing forged from the manga.

Me: Indura feat demonstrates Elizabeth's magic is superior to the Archangels, as she made two of them desperate, whilst Ludoshel couldn't scratch one.

You: Well purification is superior and more effective against Indura than offensive ark, so Indura feat proves nothing

Reality: Nothing in the manga supports this interpretation, it's based completely off your own opinion, which is fine but when you're trying to discredit something that objectively happens in the manga, it doesn't do much. If you had an opinion and backed it up with manga events, I'd be more inclined to listen to you, but at the end of the day, nothing in the manga suggests that purification > offensive ark is truly the case.

Me: Elizabeth slapping Meliodas shows her ark is strong and that she is able to hurt him because she has the ability to
You: lol comedy effect lol
Reality: This is once again an opinion, and it doesn't refute what Elizabeth was able to achieve. If you 100% can prove to me that the moment was intended for comedy effect, please do it.Also, while we're at it, let's discount this feat even though the context is exactly the same as Zeldris vs Ludoshel, but we accept that feat because the character is an AA:

-Elizabeth/Ludoshel used basic ark
-Meliodas/Zeldris both off-guard
-Managed to both hurt their opponents in different degree's
-But Elizabeth's moment is called irrelevant and a comedy effect lol?

Me: Elizabeth was able to hurt Derriere in her weakest state, proving that her ark is truly powerful
You: Well it wasn't really a fight, since you know, PL's rise in a fight
Reality: If you consider Estarossa vs Elizabeth a fight then I don't see how this isn't a ''fight'', they both ended up exchanging blows with each other, and Derriere was in a battle mood lol

Me: Elizabeth hitting 3C-Estarossa once again proves she is powerful
You: lol he's a cripple doesn't count
Reality: Elizabeth in a weak human body being crushed the wind out of her was still able to conjure a basic ark strong enough to physically move and hurt him.

(this one makes the most sense to be tbh out of all the arguments you give me)

Plus, in these situations Elizabeth is indirectly crippled herself all the time, she's in a weak human body with limited magic power, yet she still pulls of feats that other characters in the show haven't had lol

Even people in the Elizabeth camp cant even predict her power. You say at her peak shes around 100K, Undina said she was Mael level, TarXan believes shes trash, and Aldan still thinks her magic is weaker than Merlins. This doesn't happen in any other major fanbase because we don't have these shoddy feats. The numbers don't lie
Well obviously without confirmation of Elizabeth's PL, everyone is going to have a different opinion of her, it's only natural. But to me it often feels like the Anti-Elizabeth defend squad grasps the straws a lot more often than the Pro-Elizabeth squad. I mean, you're entire defense for the Meliodas slap moment is ''lol comedy bro''. Half the time Sobreno gives me ''lol she's a female and a princess she can't fight stfu'' so yeah forgive me if I say you grasp at straws, because from my point of view it does when the Anti-Elizabeth squad engages my views.

Plus if you really want my opinion on it, I believe she's 100k base, but 110k at her peak (e.g against Indura) - but that's just an opinion.

(btw, i'm not personally attacking you here if I look aggressive lol, I'm just stating the problems I have with each of your arguments when it comes to Elizabeth)

Nope, she didn't hurt shit, on the contrary lol.

You are just wanking at this point lmao, she didn't hurt him, he let it happen, completely open himself and he only got some bruises. Typical from any shonen manga as I demonstrated above.

But coming from you, the only dude who wank a princess, damsel in distress, it isn't a surprise.
