Gildarts being FTL is possibly the most laughable thing I've ever heard on these forums.

In regards to Spriggan rankings, mine would go (along with explanations):

1) August

Said to be the strongest individual among the 12 and is known as the strongest mage past and present. Supposedly knows more magic then even Zeref, who himself is a genius and has lived for over 400 years. Makarov, Mirajane and Natsu have all noted that his MP is leagues above anything they have ever experienced. He has easily blocked an attack that was hyped to be able to do significant damage to a Spriggan level character (Ajeel) in his base form. He has also used an enormous fire attack that was still able to do some damage to Natsu despite him having immense resistance to heat. Also worth noting that he got stabbed in the heart by a huge blade and did not seem to be overly phased.

2) Irene Belserion

Is said to basically be the female version of August. She has received the same hype in regards to MP as August has. Acnologia also deemed her worthy of being addressed which speaks volumes of her power. She was able to duke it out with human Acnologia and impressed him enough to ask her for her name (which is quite something). Universe One is one of the most impressive moves in the entire series (although she did need prep for it). She can change the weather of a certain location at a whim and conjure attacks that can even catch Acnologia off-guard.

3) Larcade Dragneel

He was the only Spriggan besides the above two that was noted to be "special" by Mavis. Plus being a Dragneel you could expect him to be powerful. The biggest thing is that Zeref claims that his capabilities are so vast that he could potentially even take down Acnologia, which is massive hype that could potentially even put him above Irene and August.

4) DiMaria Chronos Yesta

Well it seems that Age Seal worked on Brandish so that pretty much automatically puts her above everyone bar the above. Even then I find whether it truly worked on Brandish somewhat debatable but I'll concede for now. Age Seal is the sole reason why she is placed this high. God Soul clocks in as a low-end Spriggan level power given that base battle worn Wendys barrier was capable of stopping or offsetting most of her fully powered attack. Her physical stats become fairly high but if she cannot hit hard and that doesn't really a big difference.

5) Wahl Icht

One of the most if not the most underrated Spriggan. People overlook the fact that his machina disposition makes him immune to most forms of hax (Thunder Tribe eye powers, Poisons, Illusions, Sensory alteration, Lightning, Physical wear down etc....). With his weakness magic he can nullify even more types of magic (like Freeds barrier) or at the very least mitigate their efficiency. Along with said magic he can also identify his opponents weaknesses and strengths which basically means he starts the fight with close to full intel on his opponent. His raw power is nothing to laugh at either given that even his basic weaponry is capable of injuring someone like Laxus and attacks like RailGun and his pocket Etherion are implied to have the power to OHKO or at the very least severally injure Spriggan level characters and his CQC is arguably the best among the Spriggan. The fact that he was easily defeating Minerva (someone who shouldn't be that far behind Erza, who in turn gave a Spriggan a decent fight) in base as a historia speaks volumes of his power.

6) God Serena

Before I had him a decent amount lower but Gildarts said that Serena would be capable of giving him a good fight and I view Gildarts as being "up there" when it comes to power. The fact that he was able to even injure Gildarts ever so slightly despite being a historia does give Gildarts hype to him some weight. His physical strength is worth noting given that he was able to match Gildarts in it (to some extent) despite being a historia and his durability is high given that Wolfheims punch to the face did absolutely nothing but he strikes me as a slow brawler/spammer so his speed shouldn't be high. How much he can spam is impressive but his individual attacks so far (unlike Wahl) haven't been overly impressive, I'm just going to chalk it up to him not putting effort into them due to the above hype. Plus being a slayer with 8 different elements means that he is highly resistant to 8 different types of magic which is a good point for his defensive capabilities.

7) Ajeel Lumur

Another highly underrated Spriggan. He is regarded as the weakest or second weakest Spriggan despite the fact that his CQC abilities are up there (waltzed casually around Erza) and his magic is versatile and hax. Sand Pit shuts down anyone who doesn't have large AoE attacks (or can't fly) at the very start and Sand World gives him a huge territorial advantage given that he can shut down his opponents sight and can assimilate into the sand to avoid attacks. Being able to turn any inanimate object into sand makes him the perfect counter to characters like Kagura and the ability to absorb someones moisture rapidly upon contact makes him even more deadly in CQC and a likely counter to Ice mages. Plus he can make sand shields sturdy enough to completely no-sell Jupiter level attacks, on top of his own high durability makes him hard to take down.

8) Yura Invel

This dude had massive hype but did kinda underwhelm as Zerefs right hand man. He is still an average level Spriggan due to his Ice armour which effectively shuts down CQC combatants and Ice Lock hax. If he had some decent speed feats it would be even deadlier but any hard hitting long range Spriggan should be able to chip his armour away w/o getting hit (given that it seems to be glass armour lol). He can also makes his ice attacks damn near instantaneous (as he did at the beginning against Gray) which was fairly impressive and he has fairly high endurance. His huge blizzard is an impressive indicator of his spriggan level MP but it didn't seem to give him any notable advantage (unlike SW).

9) Bradman

Bradman is kinda meh, he is still within the average Spriggan tier but wasn't overly impressive given that his unique curses were subpar at best. He is good in CQC as he was able to tango with Gajeel and is overpowering Rogue as a Historia and his MBP body makes immune to physical attacks which is a big plus. He has access to all the 9DG curses plus Mards and is seemingly better at using them but even so they strike me as somewhat outdated, the only curse I still think highly of is Tenchi Kaimei due to being able to shut down his opponent completely physically (plus a perfect counter to Natsu).

10) Neinhart

His historia magic is powerful and given his high MP he is likely capable of making a full power Spriggan (other then the top 3) if he pours all his MP into that one historia. Otherwise he is able to make 3 Spriggan (which I assume have around 1/3 of their original powers) before getting exhausted. The fact that he can likely make a fully powered Wahl is what prevents him being at the bottom of the list. With that said, even if he did make a Wahl the Wahl wouldn't be able to go all-out as he would have to be a meat shield for Neinhart (given his abysmal physical stats, in particular his durability/endurance) hence why Neinhart isn't higher either. His wind magic is also fairly powerful, although that was while enchanted by Irene.

11) Brandish Mu

From the beginning I got the idea that she was more of a support type then a confrontational fighter (given that all she had done was heal everyone). Her performance against Lucy (as impressive as Lucy herself was) wasn't all that impressive and her not going all-out doesn't really make it any more impressive. Being able to take magic and re-direct it back at her opponent is what puts her above Jacob since that could be fairly useful, though she still needs to take the hit before being able to absorb and re-direct it (at last if its fired at close range) and while her durability and endurance are decent, its still on the lower-end of the Spriggan spectrum (only higher then Neinharts as a matter of fact) . Her making characters small doesn't really seem to be affect their stats, if anything it just seems to turn them into an even bigger nuisance. That said in team battles I'd pick her over most of the characters here presuming she has a strong teammate who can take hits given that her magic is amazing for support.

12) Jacob Lessio

This dude was borderline underwhelming. He has a lot of skill in CQC and his physical strength is fairly impressive but his durability isn't that great in comparison to the other Spriggan (around Brandishes level in that regard). I don't view Transport as a combat oriented move given that it takes quite the time to charge and its AoE isn't all that great. His one saving grace that prevents him from being Tenrou Gildarts level (which is very low by Spriggan standards) is his stealth magic, but even thats basically just a poor mans Sand World as it makes him undetectable.......but still prone to AoE attacks.

Well Gildarts' feat was casual and when he released his MP against Natsu it did shake all of Tenrou Island. I do believe he casual mountain buster just like Natsu. Apso the mountain was most above 300 m and it wasn't just the height that was impressive the wodth was also impressive seeing as the rest of the mountain ran off panel and it made it look like we only saw like half the mountain in the panel.
Fair enough, the height of that big hill/mountain should be more than 300 m, but it's width does not impress me at all. But then, again, Glidartz is crashing the mountain (breaking it in smaller rocks), not "busting" it as in deintegrating it (as Acnologia's roar can do)

The Yakuma Beast no diff Natsu DF level attack so it's durability was much than regular stone/rock.
What do you mean? Base Natsu could not wreck the Yakuma but a FDK fist could; more than his durability that tells me his FDK fist is mountain level whereas his base punch is not.

How do you specifically quote certain sentences?
I do so manually. I cut/paste the quote tags several times.

So when I give you proof of videos you ignore them.
It's not like I ignore them for the sake of ignoring them, the thing is the anime is not canon (i.e. it is not a reliable source). That is basic knowledge when debating about feats and powerscales, only the manga is reliable, and anything that Hiro Mashima deems canon and he states so.

So, for example, in Naruto, Neji could perform his technique with 128 hits but that was an anime-only scene (not canon), and then created interference and inconsistency when Hinata managed to learn the 64 hits technique, which she had ACTUALLY used in filler episodes.

When you debate in here, keep in mind you'd better not use anime source.

Sorry bud, that's not how it works. It's funny how you pick points out to argue but when you see one you can't. Lol.
No I actually answered to everything that was in your post except the videos, which I didn't even bother to take a look at. We all love crystal clear animation, the thing is, it can't be used for debate. It's not me, it's how it works.

I don't know how showing God Serenas fight makes your point any more right.
Well, if Glidartz was so fast, why not just blitz a Serena that is nowhere close to his 100% capabilities? Glidartz should be fast enough to blitz him, shouldn't he? He's FTL according to you. Yet not only didn't Glidartz blitz, but he was also injured by historia Serena.

Just because Gildarts said he would be a force to be reckon with doesn't mean they're equal.
It hints at it. Glidartz cannot know the extent of Serena's powers if he's never fought him, so he can't say: oh fuck that guy would've wrecked me if he had been 100%.

But he makes an approximation, knowing that it is a "small fry" as he is now (20-30% of his power) even when it is capable of giving Glid trouble and scratching him.

Gildarts and Bluenotestinger were fighting equal in strength. He wasn't using crash punches. Watch the fight. "Videos don't mean anything" yeah, that's retarded.
No it is not retarded, it makes all the sense in the world. Let me explain it to you: The mangaka draws something which according to his personal interpretation is "x". For example, he draws Glidartz punching the floor and creating an earthquake and destroying an area of a town. Then the animators don't interpret it properly or for whatever reason decide to inflate that feat (they often do that) and make it look city busting. So inconsistencies arise. This is why neither in this forum nor in any other, feats from the anime or from spinoffs had better not be used.

What feats does Natsu have to contend with Gildarts?
Smashing the God of War
One shotting bluenotestinger
Blowing up the GMG
FDK roar
One shotting Jacob
Correct. Current Glidartz could probably smash the God of War too, oneshot Bluenote and blow up the GMG. But I bet he couldn't "two-shot" enhanced Neinheart. Also Natsu was in base, not even in FDKM... Which probably means FDKM Natsu would wreck Glidartz. Learn to interpret the hints from the author. It is not like I like the fact that Natsu could beat Glidartz, the thing is, the author has written it in a way that is hinting it.

Also Natsu didn't oneshot Jacob, but anyway, we know that he could do so now...

Gildarts destroyed a mountain casually.
Gildarts one shotted bluenotestinger when his magic returned.
Gildarts destroyed an entire town by tripping, he wasn't attempting to do anything.
Gildarts magic was capable of leveling a mountain, x5 the size of Natsu Demolition fist and Fire dragons kings roar.
If you watched the videos, I showed that Natsu is indeed slower than Gildarts. He didn't even react before Gildarts was several meters away and attacking.
Glidartz destroyed a mountain period. Not casually. Natsu could destroy a mountain too.
Glidartz didn't oneshot Bluenote Stinger because in round 1, they were portrayed as equals even when Glidartz's magic was still there.
Glidartz didn't destroy an entire town by tripping, it was more like a village it had 3 houses for christ's sake.

This is a city block feat. Can't you see that?
"Gildarts magic was capable of leveling a mountain, x5 the size of Natsu Demolition fist and Fire dragons kings roar."????? What kind of bullsh*t did you make me read e.e
"If you watched the videos, I showed that Natsu is indeed slower than Gildarts." You clearly understand not the animators of the anime can do whatever they please with manga feats, so they can make a character as damn fast as they want.

No, he blitzed the attack.
Prove it.

Repeating the same thing about Ice trail doesn't make it correct.
You seem to be the only one here claiming Ice Trail is canon, if it makes you live happier I hope that you keep on believing it.

Gildarts is faster and stronger, this isn't even a contest whether you can debate anything. Natsu would not be able to keep up with bluenotestinger in hand to hand combat, he would have to use fire empowered punches to move him.
You just stick to your guns, and won't concede even when deep down you know you're wrong. You have no arguments to prove your points, you've been utterly debunked, and your attitude just tells me that your mental age is 14 at most. I don't mean to offend you, really... But come on just admit you're wrong. Admit it to yourself if you don't want to admit publicly and stop posting laughable stuff...

If you believe by using the picture of a pretty woman (I ignore if this is you but that's besides the point) will make you any more credible, or will make the people to take you more seriously, you are wrong. What you need to do is educate yourself before posting, posting sound things and then if you're wrong, within the limits of logic, we can debate. But if you post outright silliness then stick to your arguments even when proven wrong, we're not getting anywhere.

I know you believe you are right, I know you believe the more people who think something does not make it right, but when you've been proven wrong and you can't counterargument, it's about time to let it be.

Wendy didn't use a barrier, she enchanted Sherria stats. And no way is her Chronos form low S12 she was even stronger than a God Slayer at maximum potential and said God Slayer was a prodigy in magic.

What I meant was that the Yakuma Beast had high durability for tanking that FD level attack. FD Iron Fist could do this to regular mountain.

Prove it.

You seem to be the only one here claiming Ice Trail is canon, if it makes you live happier I hope that you keep on believing it.

I already prove my points two posts ago, I'm not going to link it again.

Gildarts casually busted it, and he did it faster than Natsu could bring out Demolition fist.

And no buddy, I don't use myself to gain more credit. I just recently added it and got the same amount of recognition.

Natsu used a named attack and was screaming. While Gildarts just had veins and punched the floor. His target wasn't the mountain, it was the dinosaur.

The thing about Gildarts not blizting is because of plot entertainment. If Acnologia, Natsu, August, Irene just came in and nuked their opponents, the story wouldn't be fun. You know this. Don't ask stupid questions.

You didn't debunk anything yet. Show me panels of Natsu being stronger, God Serena being stronger than Gildarts, show me panels of Gildarts being slower than Natsu.

Neinhart is so bad, he was scared of fighting Erza. Him being enchanted is featless, Brandish couldn't use magic on him because I assume was due to Irene's enchantment or magic power exceed her own.

Im not repeating myself, you know why Gildarts would one shot Neinhart. And Natsu didn't two shot, he one shotted him, he missed the first punch.

The aerial views shows the crater which is small.

I know, he only indented the inside of the mountain but I was showing the destructive capability of his FD lvl attack. Iku no sold that attack which makes him have impressive durability and coupled with his size would easily make Natsu FDK Demo-fist mountain and up.

Fair enough, the height of that big hill/mountain should be more than 300 m, but it's width does not impress me at all. But then, again, Glidartz is crashing the mountain (breaking it in smaller rocks), not "busting" it as in deintegrating it (as Acnologia's roar can do)

What do you mean? Base Natsu could not wreck the Yakuma but a FDK fist could; more than his durability that tells me his FDK fist is mountain level whereas his base punch is not.

I do so manually. I cut/paste the quote tags several times.

Who cares about mountains in power rankings, seriously:notrust
Brandish upon her introduction was able to level an entire island easily.
Motherglare's roar took out 2 to 3 mountains...
I don't think emphasis should be placed on such a trivial matter in power ranking anyway

Yo I bet I've got the cure for Woodenstool to stop acting like the anime>manga when it comes to credibility:

Behold, BASE PRE TIMESKIP Natsu busting not one but two mountains in the anime... I don't know about you guys, but that kinda makes no sense power rankings wise. Obviously, this never happened in the manga. Are we gonna act like this scene should be credible just because it has fluid animation and it's not just black and white pages? :lmao

Oh wow I didn't recall that, what were the studio thinking when they animated that? xD I doubt even current Natsu can do that.

You can't be just stupid. "You didn't debunk anything"
It pains me to see you in a situation where you don't want to admit you were wrong but deep down you know.

What am I wrong about?

You have yet to prove Natsu is > Gildarts.

In Ice Trail he destroyed thousands of laser beams in an instant. He was fast enough to SMASH LIGHT.

What am I wrong about?
I could make a list but I'll refrain from it.

You have yet to prove Natsu is > Gildarts.
The point is, neither you nor I know who's superior right now, only Mashima knows. But Natsu's progression in a few hours has been ridiculously high:
- He couldn't beat Jacob alone (cause of transport) so he needed to render transport unusable (via Lucy+Happy+Makarov) in order to finish him off, using his strongest named attack and in BDKM.
- He casually one/two-shot an enhanced Spriggan while in Base.

So, Natsu achieved the following, in a matter of a few hours: from defeating 100% a spriggan using his utmost effort, to defeating 120-150% a spriggan casually.

Meanwhile, Laxus has only defeated a crappy copy of God Serena who, even being stronger than the average for a spriggan, was just 30% of a spriggan.

So, feat-wise:

- Natsu can casually one/two-shot an enhanced spriggan. / he can beat an 8 opponent with a difficulty of 1.
- Glidartz can easy-mid diff a Historia spriggan. / He can beat a 4 opponent with a difficulty of 3.

That is how differently they've been portrayed, in terms of feats.

Now, I have yet to prove you Natsu is > Glidarts? Well other than that I've got no proof, it's not like I think Natsu has surpassed Glidartz or I want it that way, it's what Mashima is hinting. You understand now?

Also I won't enter on the Ice Trail things because:
1. Not cannon / no point in debating these.
2. That was not speed of light from the lasers / proven several times, I gave you an educational post you must've just chosen to ignore. If you happened not to agree with my post (which would be nuts), then you'd be assuming Makarov or Sting, light users, can throw attacks at light speed.
3. Glidartz was faster than the fodder eye, proves nothing.
4. Pre-pre-preskip Glidartz. Current Glidartz would fodderize that version of Glidartz and he hasn't shown any speed feat worth mentioning, in canon.

Ice trail is cannon, and Gildarts is far too fast for Natsu. Gildarts solos the entire guild.

Gildarts moving several feet before Natsu even notices and reacts.
Hate to expose you, but you claim that you only show cannon when clearly this Zentopia scene was filler (the whole arc was filler). I also recall you trying to convince me that Wendy, Natsu, and Gajeel's FILLER feat of pushing Acno back should be counted because Anime>Manga. Don't try to lie when Dr. charging is trying to cure you Stool. :hee

Lmao Ikr. With the way Hiro is painting Natsu out to be I wouldn't be surprised if he started busting multiple mountains at once tbh.

I am going to base a FT list based on where each character should be at. This list will be based upon feats and evidence suggesting that it is possible by FT Standards.

1. Natsu Dragnell:

Even without Igneel powerup I would rank him as the strongest in the Guild. His feats are pretty impressive without using Igneel power.

Add on to the fact that at this point he should have surpassed his Tenrou island level power by a good margin even his Lightning infused Tenrou island power his current LDF should put him solidly at the top of Fairy Tail's Guild list in the number 1 Spot.

2. Gildarts:

Always impressive Gildarts should without a doubt take it at number 2.

3. Laxus:

The only attack that would put him above Makarov is the nuke he used against Azir which seemed to be a 1 time thing as he never uses a nuke of that magnitude again.

The attacks he used against Whal didn't have the same magnitude as this attack. For right now I will keep Laxus at number 3 Within the Guild.

4. Makarov:

Pretty impressive dude with a pretty impressive amount of power. Grated since his fight with Jose we haven't seen much of that power.

Might actually rank him above Laxus. I know people will rage though. Makarov doesn't get the credit he deserves. Every since his fight with Hades he has been belittled.

5. Erza:

Erza is clearly one of the strongest(If not the Strongest) females in Ishagr period. She takes it as number 5 on my list of powerhouses in FT.

Those are the top 5 members of FT. I will do the 6-10 in another post later.

Gildarts seemed fine after just an angry punch that leveled a mountain.

And actual it is an actually mountain, a large one.

This is the river you see the mountain on.
http://www.mangapanda.com/fairy-tail/417/7

The actually size of the mountain makes that river look like an ant.
http://www.mangapanda.com/fairy-tail/417/14
The bottom right there you can see the river/waterfall.

The bottom left, the mountain is in ruins.
http://www.mangapanda.com/fairy-tail/417/15
Seeming fine is irrelevant, it wasn't casual. Again why do people think a river and some trees on a hill make it a mountain? You say it makes the river look small but you realise the river may not have been visible in that shot right? In the third scan you posted you can CLEARLY SEE a stream of water flowing down the side of the hill. What Gildarts' destroyed was not comparable in size to this:

I've seen the TMF and that people said he fragmented it which is wrong because in the anime it show it being destroyed.
That is anime filler, the whole basis of GILDARTS' POWER IS FRAGMENTATION.

Okay, your point?

He still destroyed the mountain. The anime is not filler, by the way. It's material from the manga in animation, that does not mean it's filler.
