Gildarts being FTL is possibly the most laughable thing I've ever heard on these forums.
In regards to Spriggan rankings, mine would go (along with explanations):
1) August
Said to be the strongest individual among the 12 and is known as the strongest mage past and present. Supposedly knows more magic then even Zeref, who himself is a genius and has lived for over 400 years. Makarov, Mirajane and Natsu have all noted that his MP is leagues above anything they have ever experienced. He has easily blocked an attack that was hyped to be able to do significant damage to a Spriggan level character (Ajeel) in his base form. He has also used an enormous fire attack that was still able to do some damage to Natsu despite him having immense resistance to heat. Also worth noting that he got stabbed in the heart by a huge blade and did not seem to be overly phased.
2) Irene Belserion
Is said to basically be the female version of August. She has received the same hype in regards to MP as August has. Acnologia also deemed her worthy of being addressed which speaks volumes of her power. She was able to duke it out with human Acnologia and impressed him enough to ask her for her name (which is quite something). Universe One is one of the most impressive moves in the entire series (although she did need prep for it). She can change the weather of a certain location at a whim and conjure attacks that can even catch Acnologia off-guard.
3) Larcade Dragneel
He was the only Spriggan besides the above two that was noted to be "special" by Mavis. Plus being a Dragneel you could expect him to be powerful. The biggest thing is that Zeref claims that his capabilities are so vast that he could potentially even take down Acnologia, which is massive hype that could potentially even put him above Irene and August.
4) DiMaria Chronos Yesta
Well it seems that Age Seal worked on Brandish so that pretty much automatically puts her above everyone bar the above. Even then I find whether it truly worked on Brandish somewhat debatable but I'll concede for now. Age Seal is the sole reason why she is placed this high. God Soul clocks in as a low-end Spriggan level power given that base battle worn Wendys barrier was capable of stopping or offsetting most of her fully powered attack. Her physical stats become fairly high but if she cannot hit hard and that doesn't really a big difference.
5) Wahl Icht
One of the most if not the most underrated Spriggan. People overlook the fact that his machina disposition makes him immune to most forms of hax (Thunder Tribe eye powers, Poisons, Illusions, Sensory alteration, Lightning, Physical wear down etc....). With his weakness magic he can nullify even more types of magic (like Freeds barrier) or at the very least mitigate their efficiency. Along with said magic he can also identify his opponents weaknesses and strengths which basically means he starts the fight with close to full intel on his opponent. His raw power is nothing to laugh at either given that even his basic weaponry is capable of injuring someone like Laxus and attacks like RailGun and his pocket Etherion are implied to have the power to OHKO or at the very least severally injure Spriggan level characters and his CQC is arguably the best among the Spriggan. The fact that he was easily defeating Minerva (someone who shouldn't be that far behind Erza, who in turn gave a Spriggan a decent fight) in base as a historia speaks volumes of his power.
6) God Serena
Before I had him a decent amount lower but Gildarts said that Serena would be capable of giving him a good fight and I view Gildarts as being "up there" when it comes to power. The fact that he was able to even injure Gildarts ever so slightly despite being a historia does give Gildarts hype to him some weight. His physical strength is worth noting given that he was able to match Gildarts in it (to some extent) despite being a historia and his durability is high given that Wolfheims punch to the face did absolutely nothing but he strikes me as a slow brawler/spammer so his speed shouldn't be high. How much he can spam is impressive but his individual attacks so far (unlike Wahl) haven't been overly impressive, I'm just going to chalk it up to him not putting effort into them due to the above hype. Plus being a slayer with 8 different elements means that he is highly resistant to 8 different types of magic which is a good point for his defensive capabilities.
7) Ajeel Lumur
Another highly underrated Spriggan. He is regarded as the weakest or second weakest Spriggan despite the fact that his CQC abilities are up there (waltzed casually around Erza) and his magic is versatile and hax. Sand Pit shuts down anyone who doesn't have large AoE attacks (or can't fly) at the very start and Sand World gives him a huge territorial advantage given that he can shut down his opponents sight and can assimilate into the sand to avoid attacks. Being able to turn any inanimate object into sand makes him the perfect counter to characters like Kagura and the ability to absorb someones moisture rapidly upon contact makes him even more deadly in CQC and a likely counter to Ice mages. Plus he can make sand shields sturdy enough to completely no-sell Jupiter level attacks, on top of his own high durability makes him hard to take down.
8) Yura Invel
This dude had massive hype but did kinda underwhelm as Zerefs right hand man. He is still an average level Spriggan due to his Ice armour which effectively shuts down CQC combatants and Ice Lock hax. If he had some decent speed feats it would be even deadlier but any hard hitting long range Spriggan should be able to chip his armour away w/o getting hit (given that it seems to be glass armour lol). He can also makes his ice attacks damn near instantaneous (as he did at the beginning against Gray) which was fairly impressive and he has fairly high endurance. His huge blizzard is an impressive indicator of his spriggan level MP but it didn't seem to give him any notable advantage (unlike SW).
9) Bradman
Bradman is kinda meh, he is still within the average Spriggan tier but wasn't overly impressive given that his unique curses were subpar at best. He is good in CQC as he was able to tango with Gajeel and is overpowering Rogue as a Historia and his MBP body makes immune to physical attacks which is a big plus. He has access to all the 9DG curses plus Mards and is seemingly better at using them but even so they strike me as somewhat outdated, the only curse I still think highly of is Tenchi Kaimei due to being able to shut down his opponent completely physically (plus a perfect counter to Natsu).
10) Neinhart
His historia magic is powerful and given his high MP he is likely capable of making a full power Spriggan (other then the top 3) if he pours all his MP into that one historia. Otherwise he is able to make 3 Spriggan (which I assume have around 1/3 of their original powers) before getting exhausted. The fact that he can likely make a fully powered Wahl is what prevents him being at the bottom of the list. With that said, even if he did make a Wahl the Wahl wouldn't be able to go all-out as he would have to be a meat shield for Neinhart (given his abysmal physical stats, in particular his durability/endurance) hence why Neinhart isn't higher either. His wind magic is also fairly powerful, although that was while enchanted by Irene.
11) Brandish Mu
From the beginning I got the idea that she was more of a support type then a confrontational fighter (given that all she had done was heal everyone). Her performance against Lucy (as impressive as Lucy herself was) wasn't all that impressive and her not going all-out doesn't really make it any more impressive. Being able to take magic and re-direct it back at her opponent is what puts her above Jacob since that could be fairly useful, though she still needs to take the hit before being able to absorb and re-direct it (at last if its fired at close range) and while her durability and endurance are decent, its still on the lower-end of the Spriggan spectrum (only higher then Neinharts as a matter of fact) . Her making characters small doesn't really seem to be affect their stats, if anything it just seems to turn them into an even bigger nuisance. That said in team battles I'd pick her over most of the characters here presuming she has a strong teammate who can take hits given that her magic is amazing for support.
12) Jacob Lessio
This dude was borderline underwhelming. He has a lot of skill in CQC and his physical strength is fairly impressive but his durability isn't that great in comparison to the other Spriggan (around Brandishes level in that regard). I don't view Transport as a combat oriented move given that it takes quite the time to charge and its AoE isn't all that great. His one saving grace that prevents him from being Tenrou Gildarts level (which is very low by Spriggan standards) is his stealth magic, but even thats basically just a poor mans Sand World as it makes him undetectable.......but still prone to AoE attacks.
