I think the sequel is going end shorty before City Hero comes out which would mean the sequel is going to be 12 - 14 chapters.

Just a thought but since Laxus and Gildarts were teased for the sequel I think Mashima wants to warp up the dangling plot line with Ivan. I mean we don’t know why Gildarts hates Ivan, where Ivan got the Laxus’s Dragon Slayer Lacrima from, why Ivan was kicked out the guild, nether we who Ivan’s wife or mother is, and Ivan didn’t get to reconcile with Laxus or Makarov.

Yeah the problem with is it was never revealed who Mermaid Heel’s Guild Master is but I could guess Ivan’s wife is most likely dead. Also do you think Porlyusia is Ivan’s mother I mean Porlyusia makes the most sense.

I do not think it has few episodes since it is a sequel and not a simple Spin-Off.

Fairy Girls had 21 more bonus Chapters achieving 4 Volumes, same as Wendy's Manga.

In this case I think it would be minimal to have about 5 volumes for it to be profitable (since I consider that if the sequel were too short, if it would be a way to kill a franchise, the sequel as such must be long enough to close aspects of the plot and short enough to not saturate)

I have noticed that some consider that it will have few pages, but remember that not all the series that appear in the Pocket Magazine are a few pages.

The same I look forward to July 25 to be able to read it.

Hopefully someone will encourage a Spin-Off of Ana Heartfilia

Well from what I remember Blue Mistral was suppose to only be 8 chapters but was expanded on before of the fans and the sequel doesn’t have to be 5 volumes to be profitable it could be 1 or 2 volumes like the Gaiden spin offs, Fairy Tail Zero, and Ice Trail. Also the longest I can see the sequel being is 10 or 15 chapters since the sequel will have to end before City Heros gets on Magazine Pocket and Anna isn’t getting her own spin off because her past will be revealed in the anime.

Judging by the title of the sequel this confirms that the sequel won’t be very long but also the plot points that will be resolved will be plot points related to the 100 Year Quest and the Dreyar family since Laxus will be in the sequel.
