Isn't the story done by Mashima? It's just a different artist but the story should still be canon. Though I could be wrong, I'm not a 100% sure.

I agree with what I did read here. Zeira is probably yet another illusion created by Mavis... That is still really sad but at least Mavis isn't the only one who can see her. Precht is a badass.

Is FT Ice Trail even canon? I mean if Gildarts is the strongest of the west then he at least is stronger than one of the 4 gods of Ishvall. I assumed that the 4 gods of Ishvall are the strongest waizards from all four directions (north,west,east,south). Shouldn't the founding member of FT be considered the strongest of the west instead of Gildarts? Or Hades?

Dark guild members aren't counted; you have to be in good standing to become one of the wizard saints with the top 4 being the gods of ishval. That's why Hades wouldn't be included. Laxus was immediately refused a wizard saint position after he publically beat jura, as revealed in one of the character introduction pages recently, because of his relation with fairy tail. Same goes for the dark guild leader from ice trail, for that matter, and as we saw he was clearly bluffing.

As for the regions, it could simply be that two ro more live in a single region, say two live in the north, and one in the other 2 regions, with gildarts in the other.

Also, Gildrats is probably the strongest Mage in a Mage guild. Because even though he's called the "Strongest In Fairy Tail", he's still inferior to Makarov.

Debatable and probably not the place for it, but there was a reason Makarov wanted Gildarts to take his place as leader, likely Makarov releasing he wasn't strong enough after being beaten so badly by hades , where Gildarts (and Laxus, who wasn't a guild member at the time) were doing jsut as well as him, if not better. Laxus will presumably get promoted to guild leader when Makarov finally retires, btu that'll likely be at the end of the series.

That doesn't look like the work of dragon slayers. More like Acnologia and Zeref. There aren't any people anywhere to be seen. On the other hand wouldn't it be incredibly interesting so see a former generation of our well known dragon slayers? But I guess there is no reason for a dragon slayer to be there if there isn't anything left but bones.

So what was all that girl romance with Zeira and Mavis all about? Seriously, Zeira was literally ripping her clothes off. If she is really an illusion Mavis has a dirty mind.

You're not the only one. The whole scene to be honest went from sweet to creepy in a blink.

That aside, it was a pretty laid back chapter until the end and the guys are have warmed up a lot to Mavis. I'm pretty certain now that Zeira is a figment of her imagination; she has no interaction with the rest of the group, nor do they ever refer to her.

The last scene in Magnolia was indeed a shock; I wonder when all of this occurred and if there's any survivors hiding around there.

That was completely unexpected. I didn't think that the founders would lose their first battle. Although, only one of them is an actual mage... and Mavis relies almost entirely on illusions. And it seems that Blue Skull's master is pretty competent. We've seen how Purehito lost his eye now. Curious to see how they proceed.

I think it is pretty obvious from here on. Mavis and/vor the people oft the forest will teach magic to the three of them. They'll return and wipe the floor with all of them. I really wanna see what Yuri's magic will be about. Wallod surely will habe the supportive role, Precht will be destructive, but will Yuri have the same light based magic as Makarov? And will Mavis "invent" Fairy Law in that forest?

Once again they "ignore" zeira.

If she wasn't an illusion, do the few doubters really think Warrod would have said "come on mavis", and not "come on girls" or something?

Besides that, another intressting chapter. They must learn magic in the forest from someone. The mages in that town all seem relatively weak anyway, so it shouldn't be too hard for them to win any fight even after just learning magic.

Well, Yuri will either learn Makarov's Titan magic or.... Become the 1st Gen Lightning Dragon Slayer. The next issue of the magazine will feature Laxus. If it turns out that forest is actually (also) the Lightning Dragon's nest, then that means one of them will learn Lightning DS magic. Since we already know what kind of magic they use except Yuri, Lightning DS magic makes the most sense for him if it does turn out to be its nest. I think that at some point, the dragon died and he left his Lachrima to Yuri for safe-keeping.

Well, usually Mashima isn't very fond of actually recycling exact sorts of magic besides Ice Make, which basically 4 people in the manga can/could use. Yuri is a trickster, there is no way he'll have an all out powerhouse magic like Lightning Dragon Slaying. I would bet on that.
