Well like I said you could be right but I think otherwise. Based on the heart, it's possible that the current wielders of fairy law simply aren't taught to use the magic to its extreme to prevent deaths, therefore even while perceiving others as enemies, they don't think of killing them. I believe that if Mavis had used the spell on a human, she wouldn't have killed him/her either; that's just my opinion though. If that's the case, then Fairy Law could perhaps be a bit of a weaker version than the original law but my main argument though was that they don't work differently though they could have different effects (i.e one might kill, the other doesn't).

They are certainly the same type of Magic, much like God Slayers and Dragon Slayers have basically the same kind of magic but with different scopes. For instance all Slayer Magic users uses more or less the same moves and habilities. But God Slayers seems to have a wider scope for the use of the same abilities, for instance Zancrow could eat flames that Natsu couldn't and Chelia could use the healing powers of her air slayer magic to heal herself while Wendy couldn't. It is obvious that you can see that at some point there was only one kind of slayer magic and that if was probably stronger and with time sub-classes of that magic appeared that are slighly less effective.

All of the different Laws destroy those which the user sees as their enemies, but Fairy Law seems to have a little more depth to it than the others. They are still basically the same, except there may be some varying factor to each to justify their different names.

Fiary Law at least is stated to heavily injure, not necessarily kill, while the arcane form of Law is said to anhilate, these are quite different situations. I think that is some factor that makes them different other than the will of the user, maybe it is a bit like Bijoudama and Rasengan in Naruto, Rasengan in its complete and perfect form is basically a man made bijoudama, but in the incomplete form could be mixed with all kind of elements to different effects.

The same kind yes, thus they probably obey the same basic rules, but I doubt they are the very same magic, they are variations of what Mavis used in the last chapter of the manga, in my opinion.

Well they're not exactly new, they both started a little after FT Zero/Ice Trail I think, anyway, this thread is for all FT-related spin-offs so you can post about them here.

Title: The Transient Being (消えゆくもの)

Yury is greeted by Warrod after the former wakes up.
Yury ran out of the lodge to Mavis's location after hearing explanation of what happened afterwards from Warrod and Precht:
No doctors were able to do anything for Mavis's condition until a specialist from a nearby town's Magic Guild came by.
The price for using the great magic before it's completed: Mavis can no longer grow up physically any further (Unaging Curse? I could use that...).
Yury was surprised to see Mavis able to greet him with a smile.
Mavis told Yury not to blame himself for this, as this was what Mavis chose to do.
Yury continued to apologize for using and tricking Mavis, but the latter was more interested in his difference in attitude.
A bit of time passed, and Yuri told Mavis that he heard what Mavis said while he was under the influence of the Tenrou Jade.
Yury then told Mavis that he thinks her as his comrade as well, which made Mavis happy.
Yury: After everything's settled a bit more, why don't we all go searching for fairies?
Mavis: Wh-...what? What's with that all of the sudden...? Are you still feeling you're responsible for all of this?
Yury then explained that Mavis is the first person to be able to trust from the bottom of his heart after Warrod and Precht.
Yury: Because this is the life saved by you, for the sake of your dream, I'll live on.
Mavis: I-I'm happy to hear that, but please decide on your own dream. As for me...
Yury: My dream is, from now on, no matter what happens, I will protect you, and I will keep on believing you. (Yury x Mavis, anyone?)
Yury then told Mavis that there's something he must talk about, marriage Zeira.
Zeira came out, and Mavis told her that she should be used to Yury and his company by now.
Yury: Mavis, I can't see Zeira. I can't hear her either. Actually, it's not just me, but Precht and Warrod as well. Nobody can see or hear her. Only you could detect her presence... because Zeira's an illusion created by you.

Title: Closer (ＣＬＯＳＥＲ)
Gray, Pulse, and Doronbo arrive Magnolia,
They then arrived at FT Guild's doorstep, but a sign at the door says that they're away for the timebeing, leaving Gray ourbursting in anger.
The trio then went to get something to eat, and met a man with pompadour hairstyle, telling them better to stay away.
Pulse leaves to go to the toilet, but is actually spotted by Doronbo that he's sending a paper airplane away.
Doronbo questioned Pulse's motive of coming to Magnolia, but the latter left and disappeared without a trace.
After returning, Doronbo sees Gray and Pompadour man fighting, saying that the latter bad-mouthed FT.

Gray: It's nothing. It's just that he's been talking nothing but trash about Fairy Tail... I'll personally confirm it with my eyes!
Gray (thought): On whether it's really like what that geezer Gildarts said or not...!!

After pompadour man decides to apologize, Gray wonders what's taking Pulse so long.
Doronbo says that Pulse might not be coming back, leading to Gray searching for him.
After a bit, Gray stopped looking for him, and the pompadour man finds Gray and Doronbo, telling them to stay at his place for the night.
Pompadour man, as they walked, talks about the woman he's living with and decides that he'll marry her, and never cheat on her (Chaos: Uh-huh...).
As they walked, they were ambushed by three mysterious figures, cloaked, balloon guy, and big bowl sort of person, and trapped in balloons.
The cloaked man quickly identifies the pompadour man to be Wakaba Mine, a member of Fairy Tail (Le gasp!).
Gray was surprised by this revealation, but also recognized the cloaked man's voice.

Wakaba: Don't think you can get away with making an enemy with Fairy Tail!

Wakaba is then defeated by bursting his balloon (it makes sense in context)...
As the balloon guy ask what to do with the others, Gray identifies the cloaked figure to be Pulse
Pulse told him to take care of them, and their balloons were bursted as well...
As the trio leaves, Gray wonders why are they against FT wizards..

I'd say it'll be out when the Editing team get around to it, if they do.
Honestly I'd say it could be a few days to a few months, its just what happens when the Manga Editors can get busy with irl stuff.

Nice, so Mavis must've "created" Zeira's illusion unconsciously. So Mavis must have pretty high magic power. I always wondered why she is a kid, I thought she "died" as a kid, but now we know she can't grow up...

Fairy Tail Ice Trail - up to Chapter 10

The last few chapters have been very pleasurable to read. I get to see Gray growing up, going on a journey and getting stronger as he displays his Ice skills. On his way, he has also made some friends as he helps those who are in need. Just a little shame that he has missed Juvia, but he gets to see Lucy's father.

All the people that Gray has met are such interesting characters. Gildart is the funniest one and the way Gray calls him "Gramp / old man" makes me laugh. Actually he isn't that old. hahaha But it's nice that he has guided him during the boy's early adventure that also leads the path to Fairy Tail.

The three "musketeers" are gonna be good friends later on, especially after this adventure. I'm so amazed with the "thief's" behaviour, in which he lies on the rail track preventing the train from moving off and thus delaying it from leaving without Gray and Pause. He is not a bad character after all.

I'm enjoying Gray's adventure - it's filled with so much excitement and challenges. I want to have more....

I may be wrong, but I suppose it has already been scanned... just ppl wont public it right after chapter with Zeref. So maybe we get it (FT Zero, IT) at same time with chapters #12. Well, at least I noticed some posts about it.

I don't mind if it's gonna be two chapters in a row. That would tell the story better instead of one at a time.

In Fairy Tail Zero chapter 10, it seems like Mavis has fallen unconscious after using "Law". I wonder if an incomplete magic may affect her badly. She doesn't seem to grow much and passes on.

Indeed not surprising. The hints about Zeira were pretty big. So that theory about Zeira being Cana's ancestor is finally off. Guess she just reminded her of Zeira.

Sounds a bit too cheap for me to be honest. Most people seek for eternal youth, Mavis just achieved it by not using a powerful magic correctly...
