In the first two posts in this thread, niichan provided some useful links (drop rates for materials, what drops where and so on).

Other than that, I would advise a beginner to prioritize to do the "Ember Gathering" daily quests. They do give a huge amount of XP to yourself (very fast way to level up at the beginning) as well as a good amount of XP cards which you can use to level up your Servants. I use the 4* XP cards to level up important Servants, 1*-2* XP cards to level up the other Servants and the 3* XP cards I exchange for Mana Prisms in the shop. You can exchange those Prisms for Summon Tickets and 4* XP cards.

Dunno if you understood how those Command Cards work during battle. I didn't understand the ingame description. Here is a link which helped me fully comprehend how the Command Cards work and synergize.

I think I got the basics.

I just wish there was a way to stop rolling guy servants. Not sure if it is programed to give you a 5 star the the beginning or not but I got Goth Loli Elizabeth Bathory with that forced premium roll during the prologue. Other than it's been an unacceptable Servant Sausage Fest. Why would I want a bunch of dudes calling me master?!

If I get fat Ceaser one more goddamn time....

That tip about doing the daily's for EXP really paid off. Doing the 30 stamina ones really shoot the character levels up.

I thought you wanted to wait until Moedred is available? By the way, why did you pull outside an event? I would advise you to wait until there is a drop rate up for Servants you really want/like.

New week, new Master Missions! So far, this seems to be the most efficient way to complete all Master Missions:

I'm just rolling friendship summons to get reliable three stars I can max out in order to clear the main story and stockpile crystals and summon tickets. No other actual crystals are getting spent until Moedred is on special. I've gotten a fair number of servants that way just not the ones I actually want. Instead it's just been a conga line of fat Ceasers.

Although to be fair I did get Lancer Cu and Robin Hood. Who are apparently pretty good for 3 stars unfortunately... they're dudes. Therefor unacceptable.

I'm reminded at this point why I don't usually play this kind of game.

I've been playing for 5 days. Level 35 and counting. My 4* is level 50. And I'm about halfway through the Rome chapter. I feel like I might be over doing it just a tad.

Day 6 as a player of Fate Grand Order.

- I've cleared the the available main story content.
- My player lvl is 41.

It's kind of cool how they built the mechanics of this game. I expected combat to be a bit more grindy and HP based but it's actually pretty dynamic. You don't really slug it out even with tougher enemies. Win or lose it usually plays out in like 2-4 turns.

Guess the real grind in this game is the Ascension items.

They announced that Okeanos will come soon, finally. And that the Kintoki rate-up will come soon as well... Saber Alter is part of that rate-up, so I'm really looking forward to that

The Dumpling Event was so-so for me, so a new story chapter is very welcome. Slightly bored with FGO atm, but I'm still having fun xD How's everyone else doing?

I'm still going strong. Level 58 now, With a front line of Mash(40) and Liz(60) and a rear line of Medusa(40) Jing Ke(50) and Kiyohime(50).

Also have Robin Hood at 50 and Lu Bu at 40 but they are guys so they can go straight to hell.

I'm coming in pretty fresh so I had a blast with the event. Cleaned out all the monuments, tickets, and pieces from the store which I very much needed. Also was pretty impressed with the writing. It was legitimately funny. Especially the part with the Saints. I didn't do any premium rolls because all of my resources are getting saved for Moedred and Frankenstein when the London expansion comes.

It's a blending of things. First and foremost it's a free to play gatcha game. Where you get Servants level them up with stuff you farm. Use them to earn stuff and get more servants. Etc. Etc. The interesting part is that it's game play is it's own twist on a Turn Based JRPG with a fair amount of depth and challenge and it's story which is told in a Visual Novel style.

I haven't played a lot of these type of games but I can at least say I think it's better than Fire Emblem Heroes and Grand Blue Fantasy in terms of combat and story.

The plot is relatively goofy and involves time travel. Your basically going back in time to fix distortions caused by rogue servants and prevent the apocalypse. The fun parts are the character parts which are good because of solid writing and an all star voice cast. The default servant is even voiced by Rie Takahashi (Megumin from KonoSuba). So the production values are about as high as you can get in this type of game.

It's very grindy, and I know that's not everybody's cup of tea, but so far I think it's been a fun grind. Mileage does vary with these type of things though.

One thing to consider if you decide to play though is maybe taking a look at a guide of the 4 Star servants. Because you get one for free near the beginning and some servants are better than others in this game.

Anybody but Siegfried is probably ok. But if you get him you may want to reroll.

Well at least with this 1 million subscriber thing you'll be starting to refill them a bit. 18 Saint Quartz and 4 summon tickets along with10 free mana prisms a day isn't bad. I'm just glad for the 1/2 AP . I need a bunch of chaos claws and reverse dragon scales for Liz and those things are about are rare as unicorn tears right now.

From what I've read Kintoki is basically a NP nuke. Sort of like a more powerful Kiyohime. But also a dude and therefor worthless to me personally.

The next unit I'm looking forward to is Nobunaga...

Not only is there obviously a lot of hotness there you don't need any Soul Quartz to get her. Just need a whole lot of points in the event. Which you can make easier to get by getting some of the servants on this list ready to go.

Yeah he's good. Less endurance and survivability than Herc, but packs a stronger punch. Basically he's the Berserker with the most attack power atm, but goes down more easily than herc or vlad.
Some people really love him, others say he's just "okay". Personally I would say he's worth it atm, later in the game he becomes one of many. So in that sense not a must have, but good to have, especially if you lack herc.

Other Servants who are worth it are Artoria Alter and Altera. Basic Artoria not so much. Jeanne and Vlad are good, Waver is awesome but you already have him XD Basically you can hardly go wrong with rolling this time, definitely the best rate-up so far.

And I know what you mean, we definitely need a new story chapter soon. Should come shortly after this rate-up, most likely.

@Jammin Oda's good, but she probably won't arrive before November, so better be prepared to wait XD

Wow, the next Pick Up event looks amazing. I really want Altera, Waver and Saber Alter. With approx. 120 Quartz, I could easily risk two multipulls, one with the Kintoki + Altera rate up and the second one with the Kintoki + Waver rate up.

Yeah, it's going to be a bit. Although it may depend one what they decide to do. In our immediate future we've got Okeanos, The Holloween event. Oda's event. Scathach Event. And London.

They've got to want to get the London Event out a little after Fate/Apocrypha's Netflix release of November 7th. Because getting Frankenstien and Moedred out there just makes sense from a marketing waifu's standpoint.

Okeanos is next, obviously. And Holloween has got to be mid October. So there is room in there for another event. If it were me I'd try to squeeze Oda into late September and Scathach into the beginning of November. Because there is a Christmas event for December which would have Jake the Ripper, another Fate/Apocrypha character

Well I'm not sure how much worse he is endurance-wise, but I don't think it's as bad as you imagine. Herc can't take that much, sure, but let's not forget that he has two skills for survivability, one where he revives again and another where he blocks hits for one round. That alone gives him two more rounds. If you actually get his Bond 10 CE and equip it, he will revive 3 times thanks to that. So Herc can revive 4 times together with his skill and block attacks completely for one round. That actually makes for quite the endurable Berserker, even if he takes damage easily. I don't think Kintoki takes much more damage per attack (should be little, bc as a 5* he's bound to have higher attack/defensive stats) but he has no defensive skills, hence he can be killed more easily. On the other hand offensive skills allow him to do more damage and with his NP regeneration skill it's quite easy for him to fire his Noble Phantasm. You probably got the wrong impression from how I worded things, so I hope that explanation helps Ofc there's still no big need to get him if you have Berserker, it's just a matter of taste and if you prefer pure damage xD

Syx really did save a damn lot of quartz I currently have 26, so I'm almost ready to roll We get another 3 quartz for the maintenance on the 31st, so that should help. It's always going to be a pain to gather them, bc that's how FGO makes the real money...

They said they might speed things up a bit, but looking at the pace so far it's not that big of a difference. No way in hell we're going to get any of those other events you mentioned, that goes way too far outside of the original order the japanese had back then. At most we could potentially get Saber Wars before Christmas, but I wouldn't count on that either.

I am playing this game for Moedred. She is my holy grail. In order to get her without spending a stupid amount of money I estimate I will probably need well over 100 premium rolls because the 5 Star drop rate is supposedly 1% and I'm unlucky as hell.

I currently have 128 Quartz and 16 tickets. Giving me a current total of 58 rolls. I will need many more.

I think what you're forgetting Jammin is the fact that the game was released around 2 months earlier than the original JP game. Ofc we're ahead of schedule compared to that, simply because the service started earlier. I don't have a link of it anymore, but there was a reddit post that compared after how many days which event started in the JP version and after how many days an event started in the ENG version. The Nero Fest event started around the same time (just a few days earlier) as it did in the JP version, if we go by runtime alone.

But you're right that I forgot that London started in December on the JP server, so we should definitely get that in December at the latest too. I just wouldn't count on events appearing much earlier than they did in the JP version, for example they could fill September with Okeanos and late September/early October with these two they've ignored so far:

There's also the Da Vinci-chans Choice Event. You can already see that they're trying to stretching it, considerin that in the JP version Okeanos was launched directly after the Moon Goddess Event was over. Basically what I'm saying is don't keep your hopes up too high, they might try to stretch early stuff until we're basically looking at the more or less exact same release schedule as the JP version (going by the specific month, not days since launch). Of course I might be wrong, in which case I would be more than happy to admit it XD

I get what your saying but I think your numbers are off. I'm not measuring by calendar dates here but rather the number of months relative to initial release.

For example in the US Fate Grand Order Launched on June 25th 2017. In Japan it launched on July 30th 2015. Nero Fest in the US ran from July 25th to August 3rd. One month after release. In Japan it ran from September 15th to September 25th which is almost 2 months after release.

Okeanos originally ran from November 5th, 2015 to November 18th, 2015 in Japan. Which was 4 months after release. We're going to get it in September sometime. Which is 3 months after release. So you can see how far ahead we are. Relatively speaking. We also got 8 events/pickup summons in the first month versus the Japanese server's 5. Like you said, there were a couple smaller events they skipped or swapped out for something else. But they only amount to one 7 day pickup summon and one 12 day event. Which doesn't explain why we're as relatively far ahead as we are.

Not saying the event pace I was suggested is certain or anything. But I do think it's more likely than not given how far ahead they are right now.
