The designs are mostly cool, but he still has a problem with panel flow a lot of the time. Sometimes I'll see a panel and have literally no idea what it is...

I was joking. I think Kubo is great at making great PANELS. For example he's good at making people show off their poses, make epic slashes/clashes etc. But when it comes to panel motion/combat motion his art isn't very creative, especially when you consider that Bleach is heavily a sword fighting manga. Kishi for example was way better at showing different bodily motions from his characters, using creative angles etc. It made fights, especially taijutsu exchanges look very dynamic, which we lacked at the later part of the manga, lol. He too made the panels too messy and confusing at times however. Kubo is OK at making fights look dynamic, but nothing amazing.

A manga I thought sucked ass at combat motion was Claymore. Every fight literally looked like they were making linear moves. There was no sense of fluid motion between the panels. Combat looked static. Bleach isn't bad enough for me to notice anything really. Kubo is great at making his pictures pretty.
