It's an excellent start I say. Try giving Ichigo's shinigami robe a bit of shade too. Hope to see more of your work in the future

for shading, draw yourself a sun on a different layer with nice straight rays.. :D
then, imagine that the image is 3d and think about where there'd be shadows and where there'd be highlights. Use real world references when necessary (i.e. go stand in front of a mirror with a flashlight.. :D)

Heh, I wanted to try to shade his robes a bit, but I had no idea where anything would go. Especially since his arms aren't drawn at all on this cover. Thanks abu, that sounds like a good idea to try out.
