Well....it's just weird, to me at least, anyway do you have a cat voice you do to them?

I sometimes meow to Sophie and she meows back so it's like a conversation though I hope I don't say anything inappropriate.

Pretty much.

Sophie used to be more outgoing and friendly but now she's somewhat skittish. It's probably doesn't help that the dogs like to chase her as well. >.>

It's pretty sad especially since the chihuahua used to get along with her when she was a stray. Whenever he went outside, she would follow him and keep an eye on him. However, as soon as we put her inside, he got pretty jealous. >.>

I guess someday they'll get tired of that and behave xD Maybe it takes some time.
Although my dog never got used to the birds and hamsters ç.ç but they were little animals, so maybe that explains as well.

I occasionally see people with there cat on a leash and it just looks.........weird

The two times we tried to use a leash/harness with our cats, the results were ridiculously bad. Most cats react really, really badly to those restraints; please be careful Riki.

One of my neighbors told my mom that one of her friends got a warning or something like that because she had a cat on a leash. Apparently they can't have them walking around in public.

Well, the first went almost mental right away, chomped on his leash and run away... it took us a few hours to be able to retrieve him ~Yuki.
And the second showed no alarming sign at first, but after a few minutes outside, he got scared by something, and the fact the he was harnessed made him freak out even more... so taking him back home cost us a lot of pretty serious scratches ~Yuki.
