I think this arc and the whole saga till the time skip would be more suited for an OVA, I mean, ten 50 mins Ova's would get the job done, and nicely done!
I wouldn't mind to wait 3 years til the Ova's are done since we would be getting almoast Movie 10 quality, and awesome pace....

Even those crappy episodes we're getting are actually expensive, it's never ever about quality, it's always about money. We're in the middle of a giant financial crisis, which is certainly not helpful, but just a few OVA over a few years? That's like throwing everything out of the window. I still dislike Toei, they should've gone for the Bleach approach, but I stopped watching anyway, so I don't really care that much anymore^^

Really? You stopped watching?
Too bad for you, today's episode was rather nicely done.
So was last week and the week before, funny how you gave up after 400+ episodes,
anyway about this week's episode, nicely done, loved the filler with jango and fullmetal, the part with gigant pistol was the best though.
The pacing is nice, except for the start, with the flashbacks, probably used them so that the part behind is smooth.
I don't like how they is so less fodder beside luffy tho, Toei should put more marines and pirates, the war doesn't look like a war with such a few guys.
But it got better near the end so whatever.
Nice episode overall.

Wow episode 467 was such huge leap forward from last week's episode..That scene with luffy punching the giant is one of the best animations I've seen in the entire One Piece series. It was even better than when he kicked Magellan imo..I can't really find anything to bitch about this episode, everything was great, animation, music, etc. I guess the only thing is that i felt that the recap of last week's episode was way too long, other than that AMAZING EPISODE, i wish all episodes were like that but i guess that due to budget costs not every episode can be ass good as this one.

cool episode. its always great 2 see WB's commanders in action. also in one oiece wiki, jill is called speed jill. we got to see some filler fighting with him, seems he is superfast

It was an ok episode...once again. The action scenes were cool. Luffy using Giant Rifle was good to see in the anime. Marco's voice sounded very odd at times...dunno what happened there. xD IMO Squardo's voice sucks. I don't like it one bit; it's even worse than Vista's voice.

Usopp could learn a lot from that Speed Jill (WB Commander) guy lol.

In my oppinion this was the best episode since this war arc started. Dont get the bitching about this. We got almost no standstill pictures this time and so on. Besides I think their voices are fitting.

We did not see much of the Gigant Rifle. I thought we would see the arm turning. The episode was ok. I still find Ivankov's new voice strange, the first one was better but it's not Toei's fault.

The only thing that fails in my opinion is the number of people on the battlefield shown. It's not nearly as chaotic or crowded like it seemed to be in manga.

If you find the sound of an old hag screeching, beautiful then that's your opinion like wise is mine when I stated it "sucked" and it was worse than Vista's voice. "bitching about" is completely different and it's when one repeats the same old complaints over and over again in a "bitchy" way.

Toei has done a very poor job over the course of these two arcs imo. I don't know how the Japanese fans feel about it but I sure hope Toei "listen" to and/or become aware of the vast amount of concerns in regards to the direction and method they've used with the animation of OP for the past 2 years (roughly).

The emotions, feelings, epicness, enjoyment or whatever you want to call it, I experienced while reading these two particular arcs in the manga was extremely different (two worlds apart tbh) to the current animation of it. Even back when the Water 7 anime originally aired you could relate/feel and enjoy the SH's adventure as it was going...now it's very dull and kind of tiring in a sense to watch.

I think bitching/whining over little things or too overcritical is not their thing,
but in Japan if the show is bad,they'll drop it

yeah but its the same thing people complain about every single week. Its sort of bitching if you choose to ignore anything good about the episode and just concentrate on the negatives.

I do agree with what you say, about the lack of emotion but i thought this episode didn't lack that and felt like a good one piece episode, especially the gear 3rd rifle was very epic and they used dramatic old scores aswell. Better animation then previous episodes and the pace was good.

Coby annoys the hell out of me though with his fanboy sideline talk, nearly as bad as tagashi.

I like animation of fights in this arc(Boa fighting, Whitebeard owning VA, Luffy vs Smoker etc..). They are making that as it should be in my opinion, now I can live with stillshots from ID

Alright, now the pace is being picked up slightly and we're getting much more out of this episode. Whitebeard tricks Buggy (or the prisoners behind him who might end up as a threat) into working together to defeat the Marines. Ace, on the other hand, will accept his fate either way (dying by the Marine's sword or being saved). The last few minutes is where the episode gained some momentum.

Jinbei is able to fight his way through Moria (even if Moria absorbed around 7 Marine shadows and transformed). Even though Luffy has access to Gear 2, he still cannot lay his hands on Smoker (Logia). Smoker was able to incapicitate Luffy so easily (through the Sea-Stone jutte). Hancock saves the day and much to the notice of Smoker, decides to betray the WG and her contract to help Luffy.

The episode ends with Ivan finding out that Kuma, who was his ally, is now "dead" (his mind exists only to take orders from the WG).

Good episode.

Moria shouldn't be able to take people'shadows at Marineford. The marines who get their shadow stolen should die because of the sun. Must we assume that the smoke from the battleship protect them from the sun ?
