Still a good job, don’t sweat it!
Best part of this Hikaru Yuzuki 50th thing is all this colour art

Didn’t end up doing anything with the latest issue but here’s some of the colour art included with the Hikaru Yuzuki bonus thing.

I can’t get over the power of Seeds of Eros. At this rate it’ll end up outpacing Goldfish Wife

That's absolutely insane volume sales, especially considering the portion of it that's composed of digital sales. Is it common for Grand Jump series to have greater digital sales than print copies (even if it's not quite to this extreme of a degree)?

Yeah it’s almost universal that GJ books do more digitally than physically. Smart phones and tablets kinda transformed how older readers consume manga (and series like Eros and Goldfish Wife hit it off with women too, who are even more on the digital side of things). Series that pop up on Oricon’s top 50 (so... Play Ball and Captain Tsubasa, really) appear to be exceptions.
Though like it can’t be said enough that no other GJ series come close to Seeds of Eros, Goldfish Wife and a couple of other Mecha/Mucha titles. Like you don’t really see numbers come up for main magazine titles, and when they do it’s like ALL of Uramiya Honpo, which sells a whole ton less

and that bizarre Yoshihiro Togashi-written two-parter about a card game thing between good and evil.
Has the artist done anything since that?

That’s a bit of a hard question, as I’ve only been reading a couple of years and don’t know sales numbers for a lot of series, as it relies on them announcing stuff. That and a bunch of series that sell well weren’t spawned here, but are instead sequels to Business or Fresh Jump series. But off the top of my head and across all three magazines the most successful titles are:

-Goldfish Wife (critical darling, 1.7million across 5 volumes as of April)
-Seeds of Eros (3 volumes, 900k)
-From here we begin Ethics (300,000 across the first two volumes, placed high in the kono manga ga sugoi rankings this year)
-Radiation House (950k across seven volumes, drama adaptation)
-Impossibility Defense (film adaptation)
-Adultery Restaurant (two seasons of drama)
-Captain Tsubasa Rising Sun (sells the most in print, going off oricon)

I wish I had more useful info but I basically have to wait until GJ announces sales milestones, and it doesn’t happen as much as you’d think.

Has the artist done anything since that?
Not as of yet, no. A shame, I liked the art

Business or Fresh Jump series
I've only briefly heard of Business Jump and never heard of Fresh Jump before. I didn't realize there were any huge hits that came out of Business Jump. A totally random question, but to your knowledge, have you ever heard of a series that focuses on accounting, bonus points if it's taxes lol? I'm just so curious to see a manga version of my workplace haha

I had a brain fart. Grand Jump was Business Jump and SUPER Jump, sorry. Fresh Jump was a much older Jump magazine.

As for accounting/taxes manga, all that immediately comes to mind is later parts of Salaryman Kintaro, and “Nozaki Shuhei, Inspector of Nozora Bank”, from young jump and business jump respectively. I’m sure there’s been tons but they’re a bit beyond my knowledge

A quick and easy thread highlighting a bunch of stuff from the issue. I might translate the TOC properly at some point but including an image of it in there is something at least.
