I thought Hazy Moon would be explained in the flashback but we didn't get anything. I read Chiguhagu and a Hazy Moon style was mentioned in a few pages, but never explained.

Still hard to say what it does exactly but I think the fourth type of Magic is probably Stealth type?(Kinda funny in a way if it's the case because he was unable to fully hide his presence). Would fit the "hazy" in the name too. He does certain things that characters have been unable to perceive and there was the way he just caught Ironside's Spell with his sword.

At this point which Magic do you think will be explained first? Hazy Moon or Nova? :XD
I could see them being explained at the same time. It could be when Dubs is making their weapon. But Lancelot is probably going to get his one way after Tristan, since his one will be harder to make since this should be Dubs first time of making a weapon for someone that breaks weapons due to his magic power.

In my opining since Hazy moon is called the greatest power, I don't think it sticks to one thing.

I think Hazy moon has the ability to adapt their magic to fits something. This example would be during the lake. The lake said Lancelot has the greatest power but she still though Lancelot absorbing would be dumb so the reason why Lancelot was able to do is because his magic Hazy moon was able to adapt when he drank it which made him drink the whole lake, because you shouldn't be able to drink something that's infinite.

Hazy Moon is the ability to adapt to anything/ the ability to make the impossible possible.

Maybe Hazy Moon could be the rival or counter to Arthur Chaos power which should be reality wrapping.

Hazy Moon is Hero Type so it does more than one thing but I don't think it's something comparable to reality warping. The LotL underestimated his power.

Lancelot has thus far demonstrated he can handle all Abilities and powers in the world includes magical attacks, spells, incantations, and spiritual powers etc....

Even Beltreipe, against whom it was said even Tristan with his full counter (can who deflects magical attacks), and Percival with his super-regenerative abilities, and Gawain with all her physical strength and spells, could do nothing against him.
Lancelot absorbed all his attacks with absolute ease.

It could even be argued that he can absorb physical attacks as well, based on how you view Pellegard's chariot collapse.
It appeared to be a purely physical attack, yet Gawain says that Lancelot absorbed all the attacks of the 4perils, including Pellegard's.

So, I don't really know if his magic can adapt, but he seems able to handle any situation, no matter what.

Hazy Moon is Hero Type so it does more than one thing but I don't think it's something comparable to reality warping. The LotL underestimated his power.
The Lady of the Lake is the Priestess of Chaos, one of the first and most intelligent beings (she was so wise that even Merlin followed her), and the one who watched over the world from its very beginnings.

It is impossible that she would be ignorant of the power of Chaos or underestimate it.

Her assertion that Lancelot possesses the greatest (according to the translation)/strongest (in the original text, 最強 (saikyō) means “the strongest”) is proof that Lancelot’s power is unparalleled and surpasses anything.

And although reality warping is a very powerful ability, I don't see what it will do against an opponent who can absorb anything and everything that can create/made and destroy anything and everything that can create/made with a single attack.

I don't think Hazy Moon could be comparable to Chaos at all but I'll remind you that Arthur has barely used reality warping in this series, if he did at all. At least in battle. We all talked about this a bunch of times.

When she said it was the greatest of power, I thought she was talking about its raw power? Because she said a perfect Shining Road will be >= to Nemesis which is simply insane.

Shining Road is his strongest attack, it doesn't say everything about Hazy Moon's power. We are still trying to guess what it does.

I don't think Shining road is his strongest attack because in most Shouen the more you use an attack the more it shoes that it isn't the strongest. This could be been an attack that Lancelot just uses. Like how Naruto will use a rasagan but he has stronger attacks. Or it could just be he can't use it because a needs a weapon. But still I won't say this is his strongest.

The reason why Hazy Moon can be comparable to Chaos is because the Lake said it. If any other characters said it other than her then that would make sense. But the Lake is the most intelligent characters and she might have seen Chaos use it's powers to create things since it was there at the start.

Another reason why she was talking about Hazy moon being the greatest power and not Shining road is because she said "Ahh your power is truly special, I felt soo every since I lured you here" If we point to take it for point value that would be when Lancelot first stepped inside she felt it, that would be before even Lancelot used a shining road. Normlly in 7ds when you sense someone you can normally sense their magic and magic power. When your manly senseing their magic thats noramlly their innate magic. Youw ould nramlly sense their overwheilim Aura. When people was able to sense Escanors one. This could be the same case. She could have just sensed Lancelot one. When your normally doing it's a high chance it's going to be you innate magic instead of anything, that would be Hazy Moon. Through Hazy Moon he one one of the strongest abilitys called shining road

It wouldn't make sense if shining road is the greatest/strongest and hazy moon is just Hazy moon. If one of Hazy moon has th be the strongest/greatest. Then that automatically makes Hazy Moon is strongest/greatest since it's part of that ability.

"What if Meliodas had been able to land his attack back then?"
But he couldn't because Estarossa was here and can block it.

And even if we exclude Estarossa, Zeldris had the ruler at the time, so the attack wouldn't have been do anything to him even if it had succeeded, and Meliodas, who was injured and his PL was only 56K, didn't stand a chance against Zeldris in that time.

Meliodas clearly lost because he was weaker.

As for Lancelot vs. the Four Perils, I don't think that's even up for debate.
Lancelot is light years stronger than all of them combined.
If the 4perils had a thousand chances to fight him, they would lose them all no diff.
I don’t really get why you’re trying to twist my words.
It’s clear that at that moment, if Meliodas had actually landed his attack, some of the Ten Commandments would have taken massive damage.
And I don’t see why I can’t compare that to Lancelot’s move, since both techniques are almost identical — the only difference being that Lancelot can absorb everything without even having to take the hit first.

You mention Zeldris and his “Ruler” ability that cancels magic, but it’s clearly stated that Full Counter lets Meliodas reflect all the damage he’s taken — probably physical damage — since he doesn’t send back their magic, but rather a massive explosion made of the hits he endured.

My point is simple: this feat can’t really be used to prove Lancelot’s strength.
Honestly, at this point, you’re just fanboying too hard over Lancelot 🤣
He didn’t overpower them with sheer strength — he just reflected their own attack back at them, and that’s a fact.
So there’s nothing that proves the outcome would be the same if the Perils used a different approach.
Right now, we just don’t have the evidence to back up what you’re claiming.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Even before Lancelot have the infinite magic, he was able to absorb the lake along with all its infinite magic.

So Lancelot's capability to absorption were infinite from the start, which is why he didn't go mad from drinking the lake's water (magic) and was able to absorb its all (with all it infinite magic).

That's what I was talking about because it seems you've suddenly changed the subject.
Who says it was infinite from the start, especially since his magic clearly evolved over time?
And if you actually look closely, the manga explains exactly how Lancelot managed to absorb the entire power of the Lake.
There’s not a single panel saying it was thanks to his magic.
The narrator literally tells us the truth — it’s because of his father’s genes, and that’s an undeniable fact.

So saying his magic had infinite absorption from the beginning just doesn’t make sense.
My point is simple: it’s his infinite magical reserves that now allow him to absorb any kind of power without limit,
as we saw against the Perils.

His magic alone, in my opinion, definitely has a limit.
Because unlike what many fans think, I believe his absorption ability actually comes from his magic itself — “hazy Moon.”
--- Double Post Merged, ---

Tristan didnt said he wanted to be as strong as Lancelot.
He just said he wanted to fight like Lancelot, and clarifying that he meant being strong enough to protect those he loves and not cause others to worry about him.
And even if he said that, not everything the characters want happens.
Gawain wants to be the strongest.
Do you think she'll end up being the strongest?

Your problem with comparing the 4kota is that you're building a comparison from nothing.
You claim that others have the potential to be as powerful as Lancelot, but you haven't provided a single piece of evidence to support your claim.

If we're talking about Lancelot, he possesses:
- The greatest power
- Infinite magic
- The ability to absorb any type and amount of magic
- The ability to instantly master any martial art or skill simply by seeing it (even if he sees it in someone else's memories)
- One of the best physical stats in the verse, even at his base (and he can enhance it with his magic)
- An attack more powerful than Nemesis, who has the power to kill the Demon King and easily destroy Britannia.
And many other things...

What about the other?
Gawain? She possesses Dawn (which is either Sunshine or a modified version of it), and she's a good mage.
Percival? He's one of the hightest rank Life Spirits, but how powerful are Life Spirits really? The strongest Life Spirit we've seen so far is the Behemoth, and he's weaker than the Demon King.
Tristan? He's from a new race? I don't see how this proves anything about strength/potential.

The others haven't shown enough to be compared to him, so the comparison doesn't seem truly objective or logical.
Bro, you’re honestly a total Lancelot fanboy 😭
You just listed all his powers like he’s the only prodigy in the whole story.
But let me remind you something — Percival can literally control life and death.
And his magic, Hope, feeds on the emotions and feelings of others, meaning the more people around him, the stronger he gets.
And if that’s not broken, then I don’t know what is.

Percy’s potential is absolutely insane, but you’re so focused on Lancelot that you just can’t see it.

As for Gawain, I’m pretty neutral.
I don’t see yet what could make her stronger than Lancelot,
but that’s exactly the point — we barely know anything about her.
That’s where your logic falls apart:
we know almost everything about Lancelot’s abilities,
but for the others, there’s still so much we haven’t seen yet.

You act as if the others will stay stuck with their current powers until the end,
when it’s almost certain they’ll keep evolving.
That’s why I talk about potential, not current level.

Right now, sure, Lancelot is probably stronger,
but that’s only because he got his “endgame abilities” way too early in the story.
If you don’t understand that, you’re stuck in a static vision of his character.

And I don’t even know if you really pay attention to the story’s logic when you read it —
because this is still a narrative, and it has to make sense narratively.
So even now, Lancelot isn’t stronger than Arthur,
even if Arthur hasn’t shown anything clearly superior yet.

And just to prove my point:
remember Ban in Nanatsu no Taizai.
Before Purgatory, he was literally the weakest of the group.
But when he came back, after evolving, he jumped to the top 3 —
something no one expected.
That’s exactly the kind of growth people forget about.
And that’s why I keep saying — the other Knights’ potential should never be underestimated.

I doubt it's not his strongest attack. One issue with Lancelot is that he is unable to control his power output when he isn't using the right weapons. That's why he had a bow and arrows. With the other weapons he used they always end up breaking. It's only when he got Shirojika that he used other techniques like Moon of 18. Lancelot has a great advantage with the LotL inside him because he can spam it endlessly. Simple and effective.

She said that his power is great and added that his Shining Road could become equal or stronger than Nemesis. My point is that she is judging Lancelot's Magic based on its power output. Not its versatility.

But then again that would still make Hazy moon the greatest power because if she's judging Lancelot output for shining road and shining road is part of hazy moon that would again make hazy moon the greatest or strongest power in the verse.

Making Hazy Moon Top 1 in the verse that would include Chaos power or what ever output chaos has.

The reason why I somehow said versatility is because there's a difference between greatest and strongest.

For you power to be the strongest it's just has the strongest output AKA power

For your power to be the greatest it also strong but it's isn't the strongest but it has other quality that the strongest doesn't have and this could include hax or being versatile.

That's the main reason I came up with those theories of it being versatile. If it's Strongest then it's just out right the strongest output in the verse
If it's Greatest it strong but not the strongest put it has another factor that we just don't know.

Anyway Hazy Moon is also a hero type to it's more versatile than other magics/powers.

You are mixing abilities with potential etc. Being a KoA means that you have an amazing potential. It applies to all four of them.

Taking everything into account, I wouldn't say that we know the most about Lancelot's abilities. This thread exists because Hazy Moon hasn't been properly explained yet. He has only used two techniques in the whole series.

Percival is clearly not getting buffs from people believing in him anymore. It was an easy way to make him able to face some threats when he was still a noob. Now he needs to train and grow his own strength. If he still had these buffs he would be pretty much invincible now. We know how Hope works in general but it's clear he has a lot more to show.

Tristan's abilities are pretty straightforward because we have seen what can be done with PoD and Ark. The only mystery is Nova and I am pretty sure he uses it on his dark and light powers. I don't think it's going to be an ability unrelated to them.

We know what to expect from Gawain overall too. Dawn works like Sunshine and she has Spells. A bunch of characters have strong magic, it won't make them able to match the KoAs.

But does all that really mean we can just go around claiming that Lancelot will stay the strongest until the very end?
Because that’s exactly the point I was trying to explain to @Redpercy.

Sure, Lancelot is insanely powerful right now, no one’s denying that.
But he’s not going to stay that way forever.
I even brought up Ban as an example —
honestly, who would’ve imagined he’d end up in the top three Sins,
especially when everyone else had already gotten their power-ups except him?
And yet, after returning from Purgatory, his level skyrocketed.

From a storytelling perspective, Arthur is already above Lancelot,
even if he hasn’t shown it yet.
But @Redpercy will never get that,
because he clearly doesn’t care about narrative logic.

For him, only on-screen feats matter —
if a character hasn’t shown something stronger, then they simply aren’t.
But that’s completely missing the point.
Narratively, Arthur is meant to be the ultimate obstacle,
and Lancelot, as strong as he is now, is just a step below that endgame level.

This story is inspired by the Arthurian Legends, in the Arthurian Legends Lancelot is the strongest knight in the round table, based on how this story is going it looks like Nakaba is going with the route that Lancelot is the strongest.

I think @Redpercy is trying to say that when it comes to potential Lancelot does have the most as we speak(other than percy since he has life and death.) Some could get some new things later on, but right now Lancelot does have the most potential.

I didn't say Lancelot will stay the strongest. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Some are certain that Lancelot is stronger than Meliodas for example but I am still not sure about that. His strength is sometimes highlighted strangely IMO.

Think about it. He soloed the Perils, does that mean that he can beat Meliodas, Ban and King that easily? Or do people think that these three can do the same?

My problem during this fight was that the Perils started fighting like Pokemons. Would he beat them as easily if they were to fight normally? Then we have the chapters after where he is sparring with Ban. Lancelot was nerfed by Truth but Ban is used to spar with him. Does Ban get clobbered without being able to do anything? I can't believe that.

One thing that's clear he can one shot pretty much anyone with Shining Road and he is unmatched in terms of Magic Power. In terms of physical abilities, he isn't far ahead. The way he got buffed by the lake is also not that clear and the fact that Hazy Moon itself is a mystery adds to that. What's clear is that he has infinite reserve thanks to the lake but the raw power from his Shining Road is from himself. Without the lake, maybe he would only be able to fire it once.

I said all of this but it should also be kept in mind that Lancelot will get a power up once he gets his ST.

I don't think the names matter for this. Nakaba certainly uses them to make certain things clear but they are irrelevant for power level discussions IMO. In Rising Impact for example, Gawain is the MC, Lancelot is his rival. There is even a page referencing their rivalry in Arthurian Legends(in MnY however, Lancelot and Gawain aren't rivals). There is a Tristan and Percival in Rising Impact too and Tristan was the best of the four. I don't know how it is at the end of the manga, but it shows that it's not that important.

Rising impact is golf it's not the normal battle shounen, so you can't really use that to justify the name thing

Im just talking in general.

In 8-10 Lancelot is stronger
in 4-5 he's equal with Tristan
in 1-3 it's someone else thats stronger

Ofc this isn't the whole Arthurian legends there's multiple out there, but these are the main one. The main thing when it comes to this is consistency. If we were to focus on that Lancelot is the strongest

I said all of this but it should also be kept in mind that Lancelot will get a power up once he gets his ST.

Does lancelot receive amps to his stats when covering himself in magic like he did in the nanashi fight? If so it could be a case where his base is relative to ban and meli until he powers up?

It's still a shonen manga and in this Gawain and Lancelot are actually rival. You can believe that he'll stay the strongest because of his name but names don't matter to me in this context.

but then again thats golf, this is a battle shounen, like I said based on how the story is going Lancelot is the strongest.

Arthurian legends isn't about golf, it's about warfare, that's what the 4 knights is based on.

The Arthurian legends and 4 knights have more similarities than rising impact and the Arthurian legends.

The way he used it, it certainly seems like he does. That's why I said we need to actually see him fight more. Hazy Moon is still mostly a mystery.

Yes Lancelot is able to amp him self with magic, so him having infinite magic and also the strongest power I wouldn't be surprised he's also physically stronger than Ban and Meliodas.

It's like how Escanor was able to amp him self/stats with magic.
