It’s just a portal. When Bam got swallowed up by the Ball in his first test he was teleported or something like that. It’s not like the Ball turned into an elevator.

I really think Headon and Arkryung are the same. When Arkryung was fighting Baam and Arkryung started talking, his eyes and Headon's eyes where the same. While an interesting idea i kinda doubt it because i can't see an administrator as big as Headon is being cut in half by current Bam without even the use of the thorn. Plus i believe that he has better things to do than playing a different character most of the time, and Arkryung was introduced to Rachel by Headon in the first place.

My take is that he is probably an administrator's creation or even Gustang's that was blessed with special privileges like the gatekeeper of the floor of death or the God of guardians in the Hell train. And as a creation it just does its creators bidding, in this case probably Headon's.

Exactly. Headon is Headon. He wouldn't work under Rachel however long her journey takes while having his other duties. And as you point out he (Akryung) was the guard introduced by Headon himself to Rachel that pretty much pops that idea. And, yes, Baam's shinsoo overwhelming Headon's shinwonryu? Not likely.

Akryung is probably pretty special as a creation of someone (Headon, Gong Bang, Arlen) or the reanimation of someone like V.
