What would be really funny tho would be a manga like bakuman about togashi.

By this point, it could be an epic involving a fight against aliens with occasional mangafighting interludes. Guess his back hurts due to his continous engagement for the safety of humanity.

Today with the news about George R. R. Martin (Game of Thrones) saying that he'll be skipping the release of his next book (Winds of Winter), I kinda remember our situation about HxH.

Love the two stories (and their authors) and both will be released god knows when.

I am in luck at the moment. I stoped reading song of ice and fire after 2,5 books or so because it didnt grip me anymore and couldnt get into the show at all,
so, bullet averted.
Berserk is going more steadily now.
I lost interest in Vagabond.
Shamo is finished.

My remaining woes are hunter x hunter and Black lagoon.

To Game of thrones: Hey, at least you have the show. AS far as i heard, Martin gives the producers notes so that the story can still orient itself after the books. There will be twists here and there not in the book, but it didnt 100% follow the books before, so i guess that's fine.

I've been really digging into the Tokyo Ghoul manga for this exact reason. I won't spoil anything, but that series is just so good... brutal, awesome fights, amazing characters and development.... and best of all.. no nakama power up bullshit. Well, maybe a bit... but FT takes it to the next level and is ridiculous.

Not going to spoil anything, but characters can literally get blown up point blank, suicide Majin Vegeta style, and still survive because they thought of their nakama.lol

Sometimes, i like this crazy nakama bullshit, but it has to come with a cost.and not be a sure thing.

Like, it annoys me in one piece when i know that there is no way luffy loses a fight after a certain point of friendship talk and ppl cheering.

It is totally fine in tower of god tho, because it works less often than it does. And BOY did i love friendship stuff in undertale. The thing is , this kind of stuff gets a lot more meaning when you know it can go wrong. some usual shonen star getting a mega power up to save his friends? Exspected, and it is mostly clear he wont lose after that. A character in HxH standing up for another? Can be pretty emotional, because you know there is a good chance the character could die for real. Gon, Leorio and Killuah helping Kurapica with their life on the line meant a lot more to me than all the self sacrifice stuff in a usual shonen, even tho it was more subtle.

When Killua had his breakdown I swear I balled like a little baby.

I think the only moment i got really emotional in HxH was in the anime when meruem and komugi had their last match.
I really cried there, not tearing up, crying.

Did not have that reaction in the manga tho , even if i found that aprt great already.

Was was actually loyality and kinship there, because she knew she'd die and she still stayed.

I'm always caught up for the most part on anime/manga I've chosen to indulge in, still missin a few classics on my list but damn.....HxH come back to us

could never get into fairy tale. I liked the premise, but i had the feeling that this would be one of those undefeatable maincharacters who just win every time and bore the hell outta me. I never made it past the introduction arc.

From what i heard, i was not far off the mark.
