How am I supposed to watch it legally if there isn't any german dub available?
As for the manga... if a volume contains the arcs/fights I like, I buy them(for example Gerard, Laxus and the coming GMG).

More or less that.

Kodansha USA has been speeding up their manga release lately, but the US translation has been, at points, two and a half years behind, and releasing volumes every three months when the Japanese volumes came out more like every two, so the gap was growing. Even playing catch up now, they'll still be a whole year behind in April. I'm not sure what the status of their e-books are because I know they were releasing them faster at least for a little while, but I like physical copies, and I'm not going to pay for a digital copy that the possession of is partially dependent on the company for, then buy the book again when it's out on paper. That would just be stupid to expect that of a consumer. Same for some online membership to read it legally right away. I want the physical thing. I shouldn't have to pay to read it right away, then pay again to read it when not attached to an electronic device.

So then, your point is.....? you want to buy the physical copies and yet you keep reading Edited Mangas. Sounds kinda hypocritical, doesn't it? I mean, you do realize that the whole translation process to printing takes a tedious amount of time. You can't possibly expect the publishers to be just a few volumes behind the Jap release. It's the same with dubs. It's not like they can cram all of that dubbing process into a single day. If you can show me that it is even possible, then show me.

Ultimately, my point was that I read the Edited Mangas but still pay for the manga when it comes out in volume format here, but I guess that got buried under tangents.

My internet isn't the best. I have a computer that's not the newest thing ever, and a lousy internet provider, so pages take a minute to load and it's disruptive and I don't really like reading Edited Mangas, but I like being up to date on the series because I enjoy it, and I enjoy the fandom, and if I weren't up to date then I'd be limiting the amount of fandom interaction I could have by a lot.

(As a side note, yeah, I know it's unrealistic to expect the physical thing immediately. Kodansha USA has stated that they plan to have the FT release dates in the US as close to the Japanese release dates as possible, but I'd be surprised if their final release schedule is within a few months of the Japanese release date.)
