From what I know of those recap,is basically about Gon sending Mito a letter to tell her about what's happening?

I wonder would it affect the episodes later on because ever since Gon left for the hunter exam ,he never call,send her a letter or visited her until august (according to the manga).But if it is a filler episode,it wouldn't affect it ,right?

While I didn't watch the episode ,I think it will be a bit weird for Gon to tell her about all the hunter exam and visiting the Zolydck.With all the deaths and stuff,it is a wonder if Mito don't freak out.

Dear Mito,
During the hunter exam,I met some new friends ,met a pedophile that tried to kill me and my friends,saw one of my friend rip the heart out of his opponent and then knowing that friend is from a family of assassin.I had to hunt down the pedophile for one of the test.I also got my arm broken because I refused to surrender during the last test.I also went to visit and get back my friend from his family.I went inside the famous zoldyck family home ,met a guard dog that could eat a person up,nearly got my face beaten to a pulp by one of the butler.Though I was finally able to met my friend after all of that.

If Gon really send a letter like that,I'm pretty sure Mito will freaked out.

I'm pretty sure the letter in the last recap and in this recap were sent after the exam and don't mention how violent it is. Mito reads off the letter and Gon talks pretty childish throughout, like:

'Dear Aunt Mito,

I met a friend named Killua, hes 12 just like me,
I also met two other friends named Leorio and Kurapika!
We all passed the exam except Killua, because his brother said he can't have friends '

Lol its something silly like that.

And I do understand that. Phantom Troupe sounds a bit generic compared to Genei Ryodan. But that doesn't mean it's wrong either.

Of course it's not wrong, but It's not as cool as Genei Ryodan.

It was intended as a joke.The hunter exam was pretty gruesome.In the first test alone,hundreds of people died. I know Gon would never tell that to Mito.So ,your version of the letter is probably more accurate to what would Gon will say.I was just playing with the idea of Gon sending a letter to Mito.

I just skipped this weeks episode and watched the preview. Zushi's character design looks so much better in the 2011 anime.

I enjoyed the extended ending played during the 4th Phase recap scene, was epic. The best part of the episode was the preview though. Zushi and Wing's designs look amazing. I can hardly wait. This is gonna be awesome. Heaven's Arena baby!

I enjoyed his design previously, but I really really dig the turtleneck and colored eyes!! I'm so excited for Heaven's arena.

He looks so much better in 2011 compared to 99. His hair looks so weird in 99 lol

I'm guessing around 10 eps for this arc.

Yea that's better looking then 1999, (and that was the good art team), um in 1999 it was 8 episodes, I'm thinking if we factor in a recap, filler and the hisoka vs kastro fight we're looking at 9-10 episodes. I really hope this version also moves Kurapika's training to before Yorknew and not in the middle of the fight with Uvo (but that's just a personal preference)

Probably will be 9 episodes, without a recap episode. It seems to be going two per chapter, however part of the beginning of the first chapter was in the last episode, so 9 seems logical.

I think we might possibly see some movements of events (Kurapika training is a definite possibilty) especially when you take into consideration that they have moved the Kite backstory until Gon returns to Whale Island.

Also as for recaps. I don't think we will see another recap until after York New City. Both recaps where because of Holidays (Christmas and Easter). There shouldn't be any recaps in between now and Christmas.

The arena seems less populated in this one than the first one.

That's a bit sad. I love the idea of Heaven's arena being this crazy populated fighting community where everyones either a tournament nut, a salesperson, announcer or fighter.

We'll have to wait till the episodes out to find out for sure though. Now I want to track down this newest episode just for the preview. (I'm that anxious to see the next ep!)

because that's what happens in the manga.
I get that some might want to see the fight straight through and don't want any
flashbacks. But I actually really like how the flashback is done. It's short and
to the point. Not like other series where the flashbacks just drag on.

Though the fight and the training is gonna be a bit different in a way. There's not gonna be so much of the "damaged psyche symbolism" stuff that was in the 1999 series. Stuff like
Kurapika floating in red water and stuff like that. Interesting stuff as it was (though it kinda
changed the character in a way). The actual training and fighting will be more matter of
fact. It's actually MORE disturbing than all the psychology stuff because it shows just
how cold hearted Kurapika became. It's gonna be really interesting seeing that transformation.

Hopefully Episode 27 will finish volume 5 and the first two chapters of volume 6
