By the power of google translate,, it looks like togashi paid a certain assistant who struggled the equivalent of 3 time his monthly pay (so in one month, he got 4 times his usual salary), which seems to be a big deal because usually assistants dont get anything for overtime and stuff like that.

Still an interesting read, especially the line about him 'wanting to create a manga that would be irreplaceable'. He definitely hit the mark with HxH and the loyal fan base despite the constant hiatuses, even though he barely publishes 10 chapters a year at this point he and HxH have been relevant in Jump the whole time.
