These are two translations of the past chapter (superior to MS rather consistently at that). The point is made in both translations that good old "Constant release type" zampakuto outright do not exist. Which has some interesting implications about ichigo who supposedly had a constant release type zampakuto as well.
If we take the chapter translations at heart the implication is that ichigo in fact is currently using a couple of sealed swords. Which means we might get a proper shikai release from him soon enough, a proper command, and then a bankai.
Of course, it is weird that he is able to use his getsuga tensho would be weird... perhaps unheard of. Perhaps he is simply using a lesser version of GT in a way? GT is supposedly concentrated energy on the tip of the blade. So perhaps ichigo learned how to do it kido style so to speak and is able to use it a lesser version with sealed blades. With that in mind, we could potentially look forward for a proper shikai GT and then even a bankai GT... Perhaps his shikai fuses both blades? I was thinking his bankai would probably fuse both blades at this point but if the chapter's implication is correct then we might see some weird stuff sooner.
