Just wanna see who the majority consider the stronger of the two - the black-haired emo who fisted Invel into oblivion with PoF and ice-counter or the blue-haired pussy who one-shotted Fodderhart (who's weaker than Invel) with one of his mid-tier spell and was rage-induced.

Location : Where God Serena and the Heavenly Kings of Ishgar fought.
Conditions : Both have full intel, aim to kill and are bloodlusted.

Use only feats, no hype or speculation. This means not taking into account what Jellal could possibly achieve in the future nor taking Gray's 'darkness' into account as the power boost he will obtain from it is only speculation at this point.

Difficulty is unknown. I have see more from Gray and where he stands against Natsu.

Lol, I'm gonna have to go with the "black-haired emo" over the "blue-haired pussy".

I'll put it at mid diff if we use feats.

If I'm lenient towards Jellal and totally exaggerate his power, then I'd say high diff.

Regardless, Gray still wins.

Jellal high diff. Gray has the power of a demon but Jellal has the power of the stars shouldn't be understated. Won't be a stomp. Gray could really damage Jellal but Jellal takes this one

With negative emotions fueling his power, Gray is strong enough to beat Jellal. I'd give it to Gray because Jellal's big moves haven't yet been seen.

I still doubt Gray is stronger than Jellal though.

Definitely Gray. We don't know how strong current END is but he made Dimaria shit her pants and basically stomped her. Gray in turn can do so as well becasue he can trade blows with END just fine. So at this pont it isn't unreasonable to assume Gray and END are August/Irene level. Jellal against Neinheart was far from impressive. He was bloodlusted but still required an extraordinary amount of time to fuel a spell to beat the weakest Spriggan. He also got knocked out by Neinheart earlier on when he was saving Kagura. Heck, as of now Erza has better feats than him.

Gray low diffs.

Well come on, that's not fair in the slightest. He traded like two blows with Natsu who not only doesn't want to kill him (unlike Gray) but is also trying to hold back his demonic form and trying to regain control (unlike Gray). If you read the latest chapter you'll see that in many scenes the black flames surrounding Natsu in the previous chapter are all but gone. I think this is pretty strong evidence that Natsu is holding back END's power and he's trying to stay in control, as opposed to Gray who's gone completely batshit crazy and is actually legitimately trying to kill Natsu. So I don't think the END we have right now is remotely close to the END that shitstomped Dimaria, and I don't think it's logical to assume that Gray is anywhere near that END as well.

To me Natsu is too far out of control to hold his powers back completely. Especially since he went further out of control after he saw Lucy apparently kick the bucket. He may retain some of his sanity but he still does look like he is cutting loose. I know he hasn't reached his full END potential - which should be far above Gray - but he is still far gone enough to stomp Dimaria and even trading blows with that is impressive.

I can see the point of those who say Gray can easily beat Jellal - but this is because Jellal is lacking feats/fights. I don't agree, but I see their point.

Basically Jellal has attack power strong enough to bring Neinhart down with a full-powered GC. He's got bigger techs. I've got no doubt that when we see Sema (or a new big tech) this will trump most of the spells we've seen. But apart from using hype, Jellal's attack power stops at GC beating Neinhart. His physical stats aren't proven, he's probably around Gray's level there.

Gray on the other hand has received an MP power up recently. I think it's fairly obvious Gray using darkness is a much stronger person than he was when he came back from the timeskip. To put it into perspective - he couldn't out-muscle Invel with black marks prior to Juvia dying... but after he was able to beat the crap out of Invel, even pushing the Ice wizard to use his best attack which Gray arguably shattered with strength. Tbh Gray should be held to different standards now.

Gray is also demonised, so he's hitting Natsu harder than he did Invel. Their fist bump made a small nuke. Granted this is just flashy effect (Bluenote/Gildarts have achieved similar and their PL's are way lower) but it's showing the strength they're hitting at nonetheless.

I'll probably wait for Gray to use bigger techniques before declaring low-diff. Hand-to-hand power is not going to cut it against Jellal who has a significant speed advantage.

END's potential will be determined by how Natsu can use that power within him.

If he can use it to enhance his Dragon Slayer abilities - including DF - then Natsu will reach a very high level that surpasses humans tbh.

If END can only use curse power, then I'm not sure how powerful he can become. Just like with Gray, I expect END requiring his negative emotions to be concentrated on (like he just did with the Lucy death flashback). But also I believe Zeref's presence will truly bring out the demonic power - though this is pure speculation.

Feats? Gray. But I'd be surprised if Jellal ends up being weaker when his feats get fleshed out. In regards to END Vs Gray I'd have to agree that its far too early to say anything. Natsu does seem to literally holding back his power since the flames surrounding his body are completely gone and even then they only clashed a few times.

Gray is getting overrated.

Jellal wins this med-high diff.
Jellal can use Meteor to speedblitz Gray.
Wits intent to kill, Jellal will dance around to sky to make Grand Chariot, then Sema to finish off Gray.
Unless Gray can freeze Jellal's attack.

Honestly ever since Gray's DeS powerup, it's become a tougher decision needing more thought, but I did something similar to this, comparing Jellal and Gray back in 2011, and the answer is still the same. Jellal still has some more room for development, and his base form is >/= to Gray's DeS magic he's used up until now.

Well to be fair, his words were "I'm not GOING to hold back". Implying that he had been holding back up until that point. We don't get to see any fighting afterwards so for all we know Natsu could have fodderized Gray after that statement.

Besides, I think that that statement was probably more so his END persona speaking than Natsu himself. Earlier he said that he just wanted Gray to get out of the way so this statement could be a result of his struggle to try and contain his END powers.

Jellal hasn't shown durability feats to tank Ice Devil Zeroth Destruction Fist.

If I'm being lenient, Jellal's durability = Invel's durability, but even I'm skeptical on that.

Invel was able to tank Zeroth Long Sword from Gray, which caused him to bleed. Not to mention, Invel tanked Ice Devil Zeroth Destruction Fist without dying.

Jellal was knocked out cold by Regular Neinhart's blast and needed Kagura to save him.

Please, one destruction fist to the face and Jellal is done.

And quite frankly, the way Jellal's feats have been recently, Gray should have no problem insta-freezing him, even if we go by the theory of NLF.

I think Jellal would win this one. Yes, he doesn't have the greatest durability out there, but I think from what we've seen his attack power could be better, and he's also got versatility and speed as advantages too. He is also probably a bit more intelligent than Gray and as for Magic Power, well that is debatable but again I'd go for Jellal. Even if Neinhart's durability isn't the best, we've previously seen Jellal show better than Gray (He soloed Oracion Seis in Tartarus), I think it's fair to say that Jellal would win this one mid-high diff (leaning more towards high).
