From what I've heard Jump SQ does have a similar system. Almost all magazines have a survey system so even if the TOC rankings aren't as intense as WSJ, the editors still need to know which series are getting a good reception and which ones aren't.

It says there's no DGM in the current issue (and apologies for that) AND that it's unknown when there will be a new DGM chapter. (In other words, they don't know if DGM will appear in the next issue or the one after that etc.)

To finish the bullshit, i asked our Global Moderator to take a look at the message after he received his copy of Jump SQ and...

Our mod Sai_the_Shaman aka the translator of more than 100 chapters of Shin Prince of Tennis (another series of SQ Jump), got his issue of SQ Jump and said that:
THERE IS NO CANCELATION MENTIONED ANYWHERE.

DGM is just on a break.

The picture itself is real but it's from a few months ago. Also the translation is just made up. If I remember correctly it was just announcing that the series was going back on hiatus.

- Embalming -The Another Tale of Frankenstein- will return on Jump SQ #09/2013 (on sale 03/08).
- Bimbougami Ga! Volume 16 (last one) will be published on 04/09.
- Yoshiaki Sukeno will start a new series in Autumn.
