Of course he was going to it isn't the end of manga. Hell I'll still say we're a ways off the ending.

Should have worded that better. Chihiro was obviously always not going to win this fight, but I wanted Akemura to effortlessly fuck him up. I wanted the difference in skill to be apparent despite the debuff negation. And, of course. Chihiro puts up a good fight for the first half of the chapter, but the second Akemura recognizes him as a samurai it's game, set, and match.

It's less he was holding back until that moment, and more he hadn't really locked in. He takes the samurai stuff very seriously
