While I understand that some people might feel that way, I think this kind of thought is treading into conspiracy a little too much. Though, I enjoyed Hoop Men much more than Kuroko.
Yes, maybe. But their rankings reflect to think this way. I'm not sure whether Kagami and Nisekoi would be same; we'll see which one of them survive, or both them to be survived.

Well I meant it in a way that there were too many variables in Jump for it to be a planned moved, because what if Hoop Men became popular and overtook Kuroko's audience? That means Kuroko would have to go instead, or something along those lines. I can imagine Nisekoi being a little more different than Kagami in having more comedy elements than Kagami, then again I don't know too much about Kagami since I stopped reading after 2 or so chapters. Though, I don't see why both of them can't survive.

Basically Hoop Men was a basketball manga that debuted some time after Kuroko No Basket debuted, being a little redundant since Jump already had another basketball manga, splitting the votes between the two since they were both the same genre.
ah, thanks for the context.

well re the Hoop Men vs Kuroko thing... I think Jump just likes to experiment. Perhaps they were trying to go after the female readers with a stereotypical romance and sports manga, but failed because the female audience is not reading Jump for THAT kind of romanceXDXD.

Anyway, I just read the update that Enigma ended, so that's definitely the place that Nisekoi will be occupying. Still, Kagami recently resolved a crucial plot thread, and seems to be heading towards a finale if the most recent chapter is any indication.

I'm just hoping that Komi-sensei won't up the ecchi in Nisekoi to fit in with Jump's romance series patterns-_-;
