Nobody knows that. Literally every spell we’ve seen enhances things. Every one of Wendy’s enchantments, and all of Irene’s. Literally every enchantment you’ve just listed involves stat boosts. She enhanced the wind and used it to attack Acno, bodily anomaly enhances the body so it can resist any effect, literally enhancing a human with dragon slaying magic . I’m not sure how now suddenly enhancement magic doesn’t enhance anything. Not every enchant is an enhancement, we already know this. That's already wrong as their are multiple enchantments that have nothing to do with buffs or amps. Bodily anomaly enchantment, atmospheric enchantments, personality enchantments, ruins, Dragon slayer magic, ect. None of them have anything to do with amplifying stats. Well it did nothing otherwise it would have been noted as such. She goes from joking around in her garbo armors to getting serious. We already know this as it has already been shown in Kagura and Ikagura fight. Red Pants >>>>>>>>> Garbo armors. Her armors besides Nakagami and Fairy Anradura are useless. Tho it seemed Heaven's Wheel has now surpassed Fairy Armadura as her non garbo armor.
There was no attacks boosted as DSeal doesn't amplify power. Amplified stats or magic are noted in fights. If it wasn't noted then there aren't any amps or buffs. Laxus also admitted he couldn't take down Erza without RL lol.
Dude, stop trying to sell this narrative. It’s embarassing. She wasn’t joking around, she does what every shounen combatant does, and after her obviously inadequate lightning armor is destroyed (which is honestly just dumb, Erza’s plan for dealing with Laxus is still trying to beat a dragon slayer with his own element. lol) She needed to boost her red pants to even stand a chance. An she needed to triple said enhancement to land a genuine blow. Then she can only muster an attack in her most basic attack armor and Laxus effortlessly disintegrated it.
Laxus said he would answer her power boost with one of his own. An after him telling Erza he’ll take her serious is no different than him minutes later admonishing her for not treating him like an enemy. An makes sense both thematically, as actually acknowledging her growth is a big thing to show how far he’s come since the last festival, and how much he learned from that. Unlike toying around with Natsu and allowing himself to lose control of the situation. He immediately treats her like a threat and puts her down. I love it, and since it’s literally the only victory you get outta this, I’m glad you made it work for you.
Erza has once again shown how much she’s grown since the last arc. Continuing her trend of massive and steady growth throughout the series. Sadly it’s just not enough to pull a victory against the Thunder God. We’ve already been shown that pound for pound Erza still comes up short against Laxus. An that’s even after he’s put down an opponent that Erza herself has struggled with consistently. (Like when she gave her the business in those red pants and broke her sword) An it’s a solid enough loss that it gives her confidence and joy about her guilds future. An being as her only consolation prize was his being out of magic after beating her, since this isn’t part of a gauntlet even that sweet lie is lost after being crushed by a rested and ready Laxus. Mashima so seldom settles these things. Nice of him to weigh in.
