i think there's more to this haki than just stunning guys, making weak guys faint, destroying surroundings, taming animals. now what kind exactly? what do you guys think?

Agree. As of right now it only has limited use, despite being the rarest power in One Piece, and most prestigious. If we have seen the limit of COC, it's power is useless unless a large number of fodder are present. As of right now this rare power of great prestige is useless, except for crowd control. We actually may have seen COC used for more than knocking out fodder. Hancock, a known COC user, did something to make the marines follow her orders.

That was just her charm... Showed many many times in the manga
Nobody can resist her beauty, or should I say, rare are the ones who can

Thanks for proving my point for me :p

All you did was define Conqueror's Haki with alternate vocabulary. No matter what semantics you use, she dominated the will of the marines, who found themselves "obeying her without thinking". You can call that charm if you would like. Your usage is synonymous with Rayleigh's definition of haki anyway. COC haki is the ability to overwhelm other people's will power. Charm, in the context you are using it, would be Hancock using her beauty to overwhelm other people's will power. The meaning is the same, the semantics are different.

That wasn't COC... I don't even feel like arguing, because the meaning isn't the same, COC allows the person to overpower the will of other people, not to control them and bind them at all, we've seen how it was used by : Shanks, Rayleigh, Luffy.

As for Hancock, that's simply her beauty, it means humans cannot resist her and would do anything for her (with some exceptions), it's more like their animal instinct are kicking in, they're sexually attracted to her and would do anything to get " her ", nothing like COC or something like that, if it was COC, someone like Hannyabal would've been affected too (since Magellan was affected by her beauty and lost his composure, you know becoming like Sanji), on another hand, we've seen the same reaction from Hannyabal when he saw Mr 2 disguising himself as Nami, or heck, should we say that all the beautiful women Sanji met have COC since he acts the same way those Marines did when they saw Hancock ?

It's just her DF in action.
I would be more convinced about it if it was someone like Ace or Shanks who can achieve something like that.

Anyway, I think Haoshoku is more than the eye meets. So far it's only fodder-cleaning but I think it has one more use that we will know in the future (probably in a Yonkou fight)

Technically it's not her DF
Basically what the Mero Mero no Mi allows to do is to transform the enemy into stone depending on his degree of lust and dirty thoughts. Meaning if the user is one ugly bitch like BM, it wouldn't work (except for the petrification made because of physical attacks, like kicking, punching), it's because of Hancock's beauty that the DF is so efficient against many many men and women too

I think so, too. There must be more to it. Oda is hiding information there from us ;)

We still haven't got an explanation for the cracked sky when Shanks and WB clashed:
http://www.mangareader.net/103-2541-15/one-piece/chapter-434.html

This effect might be related to WB's DF but I'm not sure about that.
First, I think we've never seen smth like that at the war, when WB used his powers a lot.
Second, WB's commanders seem to be surprised about it, despite the fact that they've been with WB for many years and must have seen him using his quake-powers a lot.
So I think it's somehow related to the conquerors haki.
It's meaning is still a mystery though. None the less, I can't wait for Luffy splitting the sky for the first time!!
Maybe one could use coc to split the waves, the oceans?? Like Moses.
Just think about that: Luffy brings Laboon back to his family in the end by splitting the freaking red line just by his will...
Ah, I'm running of the track a bit ;)

Yeah, this was probably due to the clash between two strong armament hakis...it makes more sense that way to me....I agree though that it would be cool if COC had a different cooler use but I have my doubts, I feel it would have come up by now.....the thing is i guess is that people who have it are known to go on to become great and outstanding individuals and as such COC is revered not because it is dangerous in itself(let's face it fainting fodder only takes you so far) but because it indicates the kind of potential to expect from someone wielding it

I would think that hancock having that effect on people is both due to her appearance and due to her fruit actually. Her fruit is based on the concept of falling in love, it makes sense that she would have the ability to make the weak willed fall in love with her.

My stance with conqueror's haki is unchanged so far. I think that as far as most people are concerned that type of haki is relevant because of the implications of the character of the one who uses it. Its not relevant because it is an innately insane power, it is relevant because anyone capable of using this is someone of such great strength and willpower that if they do set out to do something it will be a problem to stop them. That said, being able to handle militia like what we have seen so far is not such a bad skill to begin with. Getting rid of armies like that is definitely something of great military value. In itself it won't beat admirals but the skill itself can turn the tide of a war for example.

Nope, the rule is "One paramecia fruit, one superhuman power at once only." So the fruit is based petrifying effects only, and that's proven as cannon balls nor pacifista can't fall in love.

Most part of her "twinkle aura" comes from her beautiness (which fails on Luffy) and her acting (which made him sick of her in the beginning).

edit: Come to think of it Haoushoku may push that "twinkle aura" a bit, as Rayleigh explained as it's users learn to dose it by personal growth. If Hancock learned to use small amounts of Haoushoku as she didn't want to hurt her allies, it's possible that Hancock delivers just a small punch to make the hearts jump. (If that's correct, I wanna have Nami&Robin having Haoushoku, too. :P)

I would love to see a user proficient enough with Haoshoku to make someone see illusions, block certain memories and stuff. Would be cool.

Well Im sure that Luffy will learn to go higher in his Haki while fighting the three emperors since (Whitebeard Died) but since Shanks is one and more likley to fight with Luffy and will make Luffy stronger in strength.

If our grand God in the skies was able to enhance his Kenbunshoku thanks to the electromagnetic waves of his fruit. Why not?

I think the Haoshoku allows more than just be the strongest or command others or get the way straight to Raftel, something related to Blank Century, judging by Sengoku's face after seeing Luffy's haki, maybe were the ones of that ancient civilization written in Poneglyphs.

We've seen wood on Moby Dick cracking when Shanks climbed aboard. It's possible his aura is so intense that it affects more than just people's mentality. Then there was Rayleigh dismantling Caimie's bomb. There's really no basis for what I'm going to say, but it's possible he somehow subdued that bomb with Conqueror Haki, slowed it's explosion somehow. Don't ask me the details, just throwing a wild guess.

Anyway, we know from SBS that people can target specific people in the crowd when they are proficient enough. I think Luffy's already at that point, seeing how on Shabondy he only fainted Demalo and his men, even though there were a lot of people watching them.

It's possible that each user develops his own ability under Conqueror Haki. Sort of like a personalization. There are different types of kings, leaders, conquerors, after all.

I really like the idea of having different effects on Haoshoku, actually. I would LOVE that twist in One Piece. :O

I agree, it'd be awesome to see how each users have their own style of Conqueror's haki and different mastery over it.

Disagreed, the meaning of being ambitious is exactly that you command others. There's no need for special techniques made from this ability, enhance your own skills or fruit powers should be enough, because if powers are different for each one, everyone could reach Raftel.

I don't know how you could disagree with a possibility. I don't really think it's like that, but it would be cool. And Oda is creative enough for that. But nevermind, I don't get the bolded part. How would attaining a unique ability make reaching Raftel any easier for any of the Sovereign users? (unless someone develops the ability of satellite navigation throuh Sovereign Haki)

If Haoushoku was all about making people faint, I guess it would not be such a threat. The top fighters of One Piece can beat thousands almost without moving, so Haoushoku would only be the level up, doing the same instantaneously and without moving at all, and without hurting anyone. Not a decisive power to me.

Haoushoku is likely to have different kinds of powers. Fainting is simply the effect of intimidation on weak ones, and intimidation is likely to affect strong-willed people in a different way even if they don't lose consciousness.
I'm sure an Haoushoku user could make use of it against a very strong opponent.

Let's say that with Kenbunshoku Haki Luffy foresees his opponent's attack, he uses intimidation at the right moment, affecting his opponent's spirit in such a way that he is not in the same condition/mood he was supposed to be when preparing or making the attack. That way Luffy could stop, change or weaken his opponent's attack.

A good example of the people's spirit in a fight would be Luffy vs. Garp when Garp's sudden change of spirit - very likely on his own - changed the whole situation. It was Garp who got punched in the end and not Luffy. Affecting your's opponent spirit - make him doubt for example - could weaken/slow his attacks and change the issue.

If words have a power above other people's mind - and Luffy's has always been expressing his mind to his opponents with words and actions, Oda made clear he doesn't kill them but kill their spirit - Haoushoku could have many powers on people.

If we think about it, words are only the way of one person to communicate his thoughts with another's, Haoushoku could be the power to communicate one person's mind to another's. The others simply listen to the King's mind and can withstand it or not depending on their own will.

And one people's mind can express many other things than intimidation. Haoushoku was never defined as intidimation but the user's very spirit manifest. Since it works with the other people's spirit, I'm sure it can affect people in many ways. It has potentially any power within the range of mind.

Intimidation is simply one kind of expression of one's spirit and each expression would have several levels - intimidation could make people faint, stop themselves, doubt their strenght and convictions, break their fighting spirit, etc... Confidence spirit could boost people's spirit, strenghten their courage and convictions etc...

There may be a lot of expressions and a whole range of effects on people depending on the Haoushoku user's spirit/mood and his opponent's own strenght. King Haki is the power to affect your subject's mind with your own, that's why Rayleigh said it cannot be trained. That's also why it is powerful and useful.
